We had a good run. About ten years. People's schedules and lifes change. The group got so big that its just too hard to agree on a day and place. Maybe we'll bump into each other at conventions or something.

I'll probably regret asking this, but... What happened now?

I know that I'm basically out of the loop now and at least some people are upset with me after what happened a couple of months ago (in which I expressed my frustration with being out of the loop with get togethers and gatherings in the first place), but most of the rest of you seemed to be getting together on a fairly regular basis with little to no problems. Whether you call those "Horde meetings" or "private parties" or whatever semantics you want to use, it seemed like that was happening with little to no problem, and the end result was essentially the same... everyone was hanging out together.

I think he means that this thread has no life left in it. And there is no Horde anymore. We have gone our seperate ways.

There's little life in this thread because for the 98% of the Horde (or former Horde... whatever semantics you want to use, if you consider the club over in any official capacity) who still do get together, the communication is through Facebook, texting, etc. I would hardly call it everyone going their "separate ways" when the vast majority of those who make up the original group of "everyone" from when we were last meeting at the store still communicates and hangs out together regularly.

And just to clarify... this isn't intended to be an angry post or critical or anything like that... it's just a straight forward, genuine observation at the reality of things.

As long as we carry a little piece of The Horde in our hearts, it will never die.

Well, lets try it one last time. Business has been good since Wonder died. Anyone up for meeting this Saturday at Gibson's in Oak Brook? I'm thinking 7:00 pm. Old Girl has been craving surf and turf.

Shankor. Do you still have that Kahn you ordered for me last year? If not I'll have Tara order me one next Friday.

Thanks Grant. I owe you two. Marc, I don't remember ordering a Kahn for you but I have been sitting on one for like a year. Hook me up with like 10 or 15 bones and we will be good.

Dude. How could you forget? I asked you to order me one so I could display him with and without his hood. You were like "No problem".

I've consumed a lot of alcohol and drugs over the past year so forgive me if I don't remember. But you've never done me wrong and I know you wouldn't put dibs on a figure and then never collect up on it; and plus I've been in and out of touch with the lot of you too and had a hard time meeting up. I'll dig it out and we can square up Saturday. It's been like four months since I've seen most of you, once school settles down I can open my schedule up some more.

Ha, probably the first time anyone ever talked about He-Man toys there. So there's only 8 of us going? I'm assuming Kristal will be there. I don't think a reservation is necessary, is it? We can just hang out in the bar while we wait for the table.

I was going to have Tara look into that today. Also, I don't think there is an official dress code but I don't think we can get away with the usual blue jeans and t shirts.

The reveals were pretty cool. I'm particularly excited for

Mantenna! He's always been my favorite Horde character after Hordak, and one of my favorite characters overall. And the end result is nothing short of spectacular! I can't wait to get him! Now if they just manage to at least release Horde Troopers and Scorpia (and maybe Modulock) before the line ends, I'll feel that faction is as complete as it needs to be.

As for the rest of the reveals

the figures overall look nice, but I can't say that I'm super excited for any of the rest of the specific characters revealed. None of them are characters that I will scoff at owning my any means, but none were "must haves" for me either. They all are well executed, though. I'm guessing that the 3 Filmation characters will probably be some kind of 3-pack for SDCC. If that's the case and if there is going to be a "difference" between the versions sold at SDCC and on Matty, I hope it's done in the vein of Vykron and Marlena where the figures and accessories are exactly the same, but just packed out differently. I hope we don't get differences like the two different versions of Orko for a 3-pack.

Grayskull is looking pretty cool. I hope a fully painted version is shown soon.
