The subscription sign up period has been extended again, now until August 22nd, for anyone who hasn't had a chance to sign up yet and wants to.

I got my TRU orders today. One of them (the one with my Zodac and She-Ra 2-packs and some T-Cats items) was beat to all hell. The other, which had more T-Cats items, arrived in good condition, but instead of sending me Tygra from the new 4 inch line, they sent me 2 Cheetaras.

Here's a post I made from another thread about the quality of TRU's shipping with pics:

    Grant.

The Captains arrived yesterday. What's your schedule like? I'm going to WW tomorrow. Not sure how long I'm going to be there. Monday is my "easy" day. But you probably have the 9-5 thing going.
    Thanks
    Marc

I've got the 8-5 thing going on M-F, but since I work in Elmhurst I can meet up any day at lunch.

Hey, if you and your wife get some time off, you guys are welcome to come and be my guest at the club. We have a pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room, hot tub...oh and exercise equipment, but that's no fun. Just pick a day and I'll get you passes.

I enjoyed Wizard this year. There were more hott girls than I've ever seen. Plus tons of cheap stuff!

Does anyone have an extra BA Faker/Bizarro? I need one for myself.

Can't help you Little B. I only scored one for myself. I was debating about two, but am glad I didn't. My box didn't come all banged up, but the card was all bent up. Glad I'm an opener. And I would have been super PO'ed if I did or two and wanted to keep one sealed and it came looking like that.

Cheapest I saw the Queen for at WW was $70. No one had the Captain from what I saw. Didn't see any BA Fakers at the show.
    Thanks
    Marc

    Yeah, Leech is awesome.

I do agree with those who said that his head is a little too big, but he's still cool anyway.

Now that Filmation is on the table, after Leech and Shadow Weaver, I just need Matenna, Scorpia, and some Horde Troopers to have what I consider to be the complete essential Horde characters. It would be nice if we could get Imp released at some point, too (perhaps with a blue Hordak variant). Modulock will also be a very welcomed edition, but he isn't as "essential" to me.

they have to make modulok and multibot, but i would prefer the filmation modulok over the original version revamped to motuc style.

I'm not a big Multi-Bot fan, but I'll still take him if they make him.

I actually am more partial to the toy version of Modulock than the cartoon version, however, since they now have the Filmation rights and since the toy of Modulock was a bunch of interchangable parts, it would be cool if they just gave him some extra parts, allowing us to make any of his formations from the old toy and the Filmation version... or any combination between them.

Big B, didn't you make your own Filmation Blue Hordak?

I'm tired... I'm glad 14-hour work days are not the norm for me, because this one wiped me out.

I did buy an extra Hordak for that purpose (which I still have), but I never actually got around to doing it. I may attempt it at some point. I'm concerned because his arms would need to be colored blue, and I don't want paint to rub off at the joints. I haven't had good luck with that sort of thing in the past. And even if I did make the custom, I still wouldn't mind an official Hordak in that color scheme.

Marc, thanks for driving out to Elmhurst to meet me last night, and for the Marlena. Hope you and Tara enjoy the passes and are able to relax at Courts someday soon.

Big B - i use to use brush on super glue after painting the joints also sanding the joint a little helps the paint adhere a little better.

now i just do thin coats and sealer in between and that helps alot too, a major prevention to paint loss is Not Playing W/ Your Toys!

my blue hordak is sitting quitely on the shelf w/ my custom arm cannon pointed at anyone who tries to grab abd play w/ him!

I finally came across the Thundercats Classics at a Walmart. I'm not quite sure where I was, near butterfield or farnsworth. It was quite west of 59. Must've come at the sweet time last night cause they had the pegs jamming with Thundercats both classic and modern. I picked them up for now, even though I got a place online thats much cheaper there will be some figs going back to Walmart in a week or so.

I honestly don't know, I'd imagine the Classics would be more in demand. The modern ones don't really do jump at you but the kids would probably enjoy them if they're watching the show.

After rearranging my figs, my Green Goddess took a fall and fractured her hip. The injury led to her untimely demise. I am currently looking for a regular Teela figure. If anyone can point me in a direction of a fair price I'd much appreciate it.

That's the Wal-Mart that I frequent (by Butterfield and Farnsworth). My wife and I get a lot of our groceries there since it's a super center.

It sounds like they must have gotten more in stock since I was there over the weekend. At the time, they just had 1 of each of the classic figures in stock, they were completely out of the 6 inch new figures. They had some of the 4 inch figures in stock.... a few Lion-Os, Tygra's, and Mumm-Ras, and 1 of each of the rest. I didn't see any vehicles or deluxe figures that I recall. Not that it mattered too much anyway as I'm pretty much caught up with everything that I want right now.

I'm not planning on collecting the 6 inch figures in general, but I may get the Mumm-Ra at some point since he's actually probably more in scale compared to the other 4 inch figures as to how his proportions (once he transforms) will be on the show in relation to the other characters.

I may also at some point pick up the Tower of Omens playset, which some people have been spotting. The playset itself is kind of cheesey and cheap looking, but I want the invisible Tygra figure that comes with it. I may wait for a sale or clearance since it costs about $40.

I assume you looking for a Teela to make into a custom Goddess to replace the broken one? If so, would an Evil-Lyn figure work for you? Sculpt wise, she is the exact same figure from the neck down, just colored differently (you'll have to repaint the figure either way). You could just reuse the heads from your goddess for it. I have an extra Evil-Lyn MOC that I don't need anymore since I'm not keeping an extra of every figure MOC anymore, and is amongst the figures that I am looking to unload.

I'll sell it to you for $25 if you are interested.
