I'm hoping some of the figure reveals will be other characters that appeared on the poster that this display is based on, and that they will be added to it after they are revealed.

That box set is sweet - sucks that I own all those movie on the deluxe blurays already, but I can give mine to my sons and buy the set for myself!

The pics so far are very promising especially the diorama pic w/ mekky, DB skelly & spikor.

Granymyr is on display. We knew he was coming, but we hadn't previously seen the actual product or prototype. Also, while not a new figure reveal, there is a kit-bashed Horde Prime on display (to roughly make the look of the UK comic) using Spector's body and the comic head and cape/shoulder pads from the Horde Prime figure.... but he is also wearing a new orange colored belt with a Horde logo on it, which I assume is for a yet-to-be revealed figure (there is speculation going on that it might be one of the remaining 30th anniversary figures).

Also, Icon Heroes (the company that has been making the Thundercats statues, stactions, and that statue of the Cats Lair) has a Castle Grayskull statue/sculpture coming out. Pics can be seen here:

If you have the versions of the Iron Man movies that each had 2 Blu-Ray discs (1 for the movie and 1 for the bonus features), hang onto the bonus features discs. It appears that the 1-disc versions are what are included in this set.

If any of you guys are interested in those new Classic style Ninja Turtles figures (based on the 80s cartoon show, and just shy of being the size of MOTUC), Amazon has them in stock. They were $19.99 each as of yesterday, but as of today they are down to $16.99 - $17.14 for each (I'm not sure what the odd pricing is about), which is probably comparable to what they will be in most stores when they show up. Plus there's no tax and free shipping.



Luckily I was able to cancel the order that I placed yesterday and reordered them at the lower price.

OMG! So much cool stuff. I love it all. (Although I still would have prefered Captain Randor)
Only one I'm not impressed with is He-Man.

Overall, the reveals were too mixed for me. The really cool stuff was brought down by the "huh?" stuff.

Filmation Randor is awesome, along with Jitsu, Netossa, Fang Man & Rattlor. Ram Man looks like he has to poop, and that bulky armor piece makes Mosquitor's head look too small. Castle Grayskullman is kinda cool, but nothing to write home about. (I thought a few of the runner ups looked cooler) I'm actually digging King He-Man. Procrustus looks all right, but I honestly have no clue where he's from...

Cy-Chop, Dekker, Strobo & the Fighting Foe Men all suck. (Though the one blue Foe Man with the hood/cape looks kinda cool)

At least we didn't get Plundar. Dunno who my sub vote will go for: I'd say Filmation Marlena Glenn in a heartbeat, but I have a feeling she'd just be a repainted Captain Glenn, and not 'toon accurate. I think it'll be a toss-up between Camo Khan & Songster...(the 3rd Lyn is a long shot for me - I already have multiples of her, and could do without another, unless it was Filmation accurate colors with the cape)

like alot of what i see.

ram man is awesome! the constipated look they gave him looks just like the mini comic back page art. the nod to the 200x cartoon head was a nice touch.

mosquitor looks good, i think once the armor is put on properly he won't look that bad compared to the size of his head.

filmation randor - well done nuff sd!

great unrest weapons pack some good stuff in here, some total crap included too! typical accs pack.

king he-man looks ok not a big fan.

procrustus - who?!?!?

jitsu - well worth the wait! Thank you

dekker - nicely done, doesn't that head look like 200x duncan?

strobo - easy repaint, nice new cape and 200x bald zodak head.

castle greyskull man - meh!

On a separate note... since we really haven't had much of a meeting all year, would anyone be up for having one soon? Maybe next Friday (7/20)? It would be cool to get together in light of the new reveals, etc.

I guarantee most will be busy seeing Batman next weekend. (I have my son, so I'm out regardless...)

At this point, for a meeting, it's going to be have to scheduled more than a week in advance. A lot of Horde members work 9-5 jobs, but there are some that work shift work, and I think we need to try and keep them in mind as well. I've been looking at places where we can reserve a room(like a restaurant)and some of them really don't charge anything beyond what we're going to eat.
-As far as the toys go, I'm pretty happy with most of them. There are a few that I don't have any idea who they are, and Brad to be fair, doesn't Ram Man ALWAYS look like he has to poop? Just like Dennis! EEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRR!!!! Only kidding, buddy!
-My vote will probably go for Songster, cause we need a 80's hair band guy on Eternia!!

Did you go to the Power Tour where that guy was featured? I'm all for him being made, but I have no attachment to him at all since I never went.

I'd normally be all for Filmation Marlena, but I'm happy with the green one we have and she will just be a repaint. I also wish the demon was either a 2-pack or featured the werewolf one. I'm probably voting for Geldor.

If your into designer vinyl I would definitely hit up Rotofugi on Lincoln Ave near Racine. if you want some chicago style pizza Gino's East is right across the street!

Theres so many things to see and do in the city, but to name a few the art museum, millineum park the Magnificent Mile (if your looking to do some shopping?) Too bad they took away the giant Marilyn Monroe statue a few months ago, i never got the chance to go take pics w/ her.

Are you driving into town?

I'll try to look up a few other stores to hit.

Ack, I've completely forgotten to check the boards for about a week. I'd be up for meeting before Mattingly goes back to school, but this weekend is more or less out. Next weekend might be a possibility. I'm generally more available on Saturdays than Sundays.

If anyone is in Chicago Tuesday night (or is interested in heading into the city), my student improv show is at ComedySportz that night. Well, if you are going to cherry pick (assuming the line even continues... if they don't get the minimum amount of subs that they need, the line will effectively be canceled) you are probably going to have a hard time ordering them. ToyGuru is making it sound like there may be little to no day-of stock. This kind of stinks because while I have signed up for one 2013 sub, I do from time to time order an extra of some figures if I want 2 for some reason (i.e. ones with 2 heads). This also REALLY worries me if it will apply to the Horde Troopers when/if they get to them. I want to get several sets of them (possibly 5 or 6 sets, maybe more if I can swing it), and I don't want to only be able to get one set and then have to over-pay on the secondary market for the rest.

I do agree that the price hike isn't helping, and the $75 Fighting Foe Men pack is probably putting it over the edge. Too many people who subscribed last year but didn't want the Star Sisters could barely get half of what they paid for them. Big Bad Toy Store still has them in stock. The Foe Men are essentially the same thing, only $15 more now. They keep pushing this obscure stuff and wonder why people aren't subscribing.
