Most of you already know how I feel about Gwildor, and if you don't I'm going to say it again anyways. I WAN'T MY GWILDOR!!!![]()
Sure, why not?
*ONLY* if he looks totally cool!!!
Perhaps, if only to be a completist with my set...
Gwildor can stick his cosmic key!!!!
Ok, there has been a lot of discrepancy amongst us .Org'ers about whether or not a Gwildor staction is going to be a welcome part of the collection *eventually*. In light of what the Four Horsemen have recently stated in another thread...
...what are your feelings on the figure itself. I voted "Sure, why not?" because, in all reality, I'd be happy with any character that helps to flesh-out my MOTU display/collection. I don't necessarily like the character's persona, but it's still a created part of the universe. So fans, speak up! What do *you* think?Originally Posted by FOUR HORSEMEN

Sure Why Not?!
I was able to make Gwildor look pretty cool:

I imagine the Horsemen would do an amazing job with Gwildor...
I mean look at their track record...
They've done an amazing job with everyone else.
Besides you know the FourHorsemen just love Gwildor, they were simply in denial before - now they are more ready to declare their love for the little bugger!

"My favorite Harry Potter movie is Troll."
He's gotta look pretty cool methinks. Otherwise he'd become an instant shelf-warmer. It's a gamble.
So I voted "*ONLY* if he looks totally cool!!!"
I'd LOVE a Gwildor mini-statue!
He could look just like he did in the movie, and I'd be happy!
He's pretty high on my list of favorites. I'd like to see him made VERY soon.
GWILDOR!!!!!

"It tasted good..." - Gwildor
I honestly don't care about Gwildor; to me, he was always a replacement Orko anyway, with Man-At-Arms' inventing gimmick.
But if they made him, I'd buy him just to have him, but he's way down on my list of priorities. I think the only other heroic characters I'd want less are Rio Blast and Rotar.
"That's very interesting...but silly." - Man-At-Arms
There aren't many Stactions I don't want.
EXACTLY!!! I always felt this way myself. They probably agonized over, at that point, how to make Orko float. Today CG would be a no-brainer. Back then, they would've had to have hired some heavy-duty special effects masters, (Rick Baker anyone?Originally Posted by Thatman

So, it was easier to hire Billy Barty and put makeup on him than it was to create a character that levitated and did all kinds of flashy, (although wrong), magic. I can't help but think if Orko had been in that movie that it may have done better. Either way, like I've stated before, he's still a respectable part of the continuity.
...anyway, just had to voice my agreement on that. Now, back to your regularly scheduled voting!![]()

When and if he comes out, I'll buy him.

Why not, I'll sure be happy to have one.
I always found little ****** character, from Hobbits to Orko, are cool in a fantasy setting.
Sure, Gwildor was a replacement for Orko in the movie, but as a figure and character he stand on his own by now. In my humble opinion, at least. Many character start as "another twist on" and end up being fun by themselves, even if we can still relate a bit to where they come from.
Real nice interpretation, J-Sun, BTW.

I want a Gwildor staction! Seriously... I do. I liked him in the movie! I would actually rather have him over some people we have not yet received... like Jitsu and Blast Attack.
And, once he is made... think of the possibilities...

I dunno...
I never liked him much, but I don't hate him either. He's better than Rio Blast, anyway.![]()
I'm sure the 4H can make any character cool, after seeing what they did with Snout Spout.

I bet if the 4HM made Gwildor into a SDCC/WWC exclusive, we'd have a bunch of .orgers "who originally said they hated the idea of a Gwildor staction" complaining about how they couldn't get him at the cons. You just can't make everyone happy, but I say make Gwildor anyways. If its such an issue, make him one of the last stactions to be made.

Never understood the dislike for the character. Yes, he was in the movie in place of Orko, likely because he required less special effects than a floating Trollan. But there was a lot of potential in Gwildor; he was sort of the new age guru of science in contrast to Duncan's hard science technology. Part inventor, part philosopher, part pain in the rumproast. I think he deserves a spot amongst the re-done characters. And he's fair game, as he was in the original toyline.

Wouldn't it be wild if there was a Gwildor craze that swept the nation after having a staction made of him?![]()
"My favorite Harry Potter movie is Troll."
I voted 'Gwildor can stick his cosmic key!!!!'
However I'd vote the same for any character from the movie. They just don't interest me.
Is he? I thought there was some kind of complication regarding the movie characters.Originally Posted by scott metzger

I hope not, because eventually I'd love to see a 4H Blade & Saurod.

I voted- "Gwildor can stick his cosmic key!!!! " only because the was no option for "Sure make him, in the last wave".
I don't care if he is made or not, there are other characters I want way more.

I said sure why not.
Gwildor is a great addition to the MotU mythologie, as I stated before. He was the inventor of the cosmic key, the one element from tha movie that was pretty kick ass and brought the universe to the Masters of the universe.
Take a look at my deviantart. http://kaassouffle.deviantart.com/gallery/
Ah Gwildor...the red headed stepchild of MOTU. I think if handled correctly (story-wise) he could be made very interesting. The problem is there's no story outlets any longer so just as a figure alone I wouldn't find him too attractive.
I'm perfectly normal! It's the rest of the world that is NUTS!
I think he'd be an excellent candidate for a two-pack with Orko, since these guys are pretty small, and it would be a rip-off to charge us $20 for just Orko.
