Copyright laws and enforcement varies from country to country. Try opening a "Mickey Mouse Bar" in the US. Not gonna happen. But I passed by one in Italy last year. There's a couple of annual conventions in Japan where fan comics (doujinshi) can be sold, even of non-Japanese properties (Harry Potter, Iron Giant, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Carribbean, South Park, among others). They tend to be either parodies or more explicit in areas their source material shies away from. I have a couple YGO ones that are much nicer looking than the show itself, and you haven't seen the Fellowship of the Ring until you've seen them sporting 'fros and Bunny outfits.

I'm somewhat embarassed to admit this, but I downloaded the clip and it IS from the Philippines. The language they are speaking is tagalog and I can understand them very clearly. I can also tell you guys that this IS a parody which is suppose to be comedic in nature, but comes off as corny.

Filipino's don't have much when it comes to special effects, and I'm not surprised that this was made.

He does say, "By the Power of Graystone" and he says "I am the power" with a very THICK accent, LOL.

She-man is another MOTU parody starring one of Philippines leading comedian, Joey De Leon as a gay hero. Given powers by Gayskull or something. Never saw the movie myself but it was in one of the topics here somewhere.

It is really stupid.

The best part is when tri-klops sings we are the world.

If I heard Tri-klops bust out and start singing "We Are the World", I'm afraid I'd laugh myself into a hemorrage.

Anybody know where I can get my hands on the Filipino He-Man knockoff movie (subtitled if possible)? I'm wondering if this film is technically in the public domain. As it's supposed to be a parody, it might also be protected in that sense but I'd like to find out if it's PD. I've yet to do a MOTU-centric episode of my TV show and this wacky movie always seemed like it would fit the bill. Strongly considering it if I can find a good print with subtitles. Heck, at the very least I'd like to watch it.
