question about whiplash head

OK i tried searching for an answer to this mystery but came up dry. It's bothered me since I was a kid. Whiplash has two bottom teeth protruding over his upper lip, but why does he have one upper tooth that comes out under his nose and runs down the middle of the upper lip? is it just poor sculpting or have I been looking at it wrong my whole life? please let me know.

I figure it's just a way to make him even more unique-looking. Just the kind of creature he is.

you mean to tell me that not one of you motu know it alls can explain why whiplash has tooth above his mouth?

No idea! i don't own whiplash. But yes his teeth do look wierd in pictures.

For a while I thought it was because they were going to paint his mouth open, hence the tooth at the top - But I don't think this was ever going to be their intention...

so it is just an example of poor sculpting? it looks like he has a large peice of fruit in his mouth. like he's giving an orange smile. in all my life of loving motu, the whiplash head has always been one of those things i tried to ignore.
