John Pound He-Man Vs. Skeletor in the style of Garbage Pail Kids.

Sorry if this has been posted before. I did I search on John Pound and found nothing. He is the original artist that did the Garbage Pail Kids cards for Topps. Someone got him to do this commission a year ago. Pretty amazing...

LOL. That's hilarious. I used to collect Garbage Pales as a kid. Could never get all of them.

    That's hilarious! Thanks for sharing.
It's great being Lord of the Thundercats - especially hanging out with Cheetara - but the one draw back is that He-Man can still beat me up.

A MotU or pop cabbage patch kid would have been pretty cool

This is done by the artist that did the artwork for all the original Garbage Pail Kids trading cards.

I might be mistaken, but weren't the Garbage Pail Kids a sort of "equal and opposite reaction" to the Cabbage Patch Kids - sort of their antithesis?

That would explain the resemblance ...

yeah they came out to be a parody of the cabbage patch phenomenon. instead of cute and cuddly they were usually gross.

neat pic! it's funny looking at this pic I can smell the gum that came with the gbk cards

That's pretty freaking cool. I was a fan of those old cards, and the artwork was always a huge reason. So it's great to see this, thanks for sharing.

What a fantastic piece of art. It's too bad John Pound isn't doing commissions anymore. This card was released in brand new series 1 as a bonus card.I finally fetched one on eBay as it brings two of my childhood loves together.
