absolutely cracking good bust. I am in awe of you guys for the sculpting. this forum is very professional!
I'll post some more pictures late tonight. I started to add the vines on the chest and I am trying to figure out how to add the collar while making it easy to cast him.
I’m seeing about securing the use of a family member’s garage for casting- no guaranties at this time. If any one has any suggestions on casting- I'd like to here them.
An yes, for those who remember- I've dusted off my Scarab figure and plan on finishing him soon. I'll post pictures of him after he is painted. (no casting of him).
Super Sculpey. There is a tinfoil base under there. It is proped up on a 3/4 dole that is secured into a plank of wood. I can remove him from the dowel if needed for doing detail work.Originally Posted by emboyd

WOW, DEAD-ON! Great work, and I hadn't connected that the Scarab figure was yours (I SHOULD have.... ) Between, this, that, and Slade, you're definitely on the "amazing talent" list.
*Who's greatest sculpting-accomplishment thus far is Staghorn's fuzzy-boots....*

Not only does it apply nicely to Masters, but is probably a deep truth.

Update. Started to blocking in the vines and collar pieces. Will reevaluate he size ang angles tommorow with a fresh set of eyes. Need to pull out the videos to see how the vines wrap around on his back. Debating how much texture to add to the skin.
Wow! It's really coming together! Can't wait to see it completed!
that is some very evil vegetation you have going on there. You should call lawn doctor!
seriously Steph, AMAZING work! Looks like you won't need to enter Royalt's 2nd annual contest since you can practically do it yourself!
looking very good steph. i'm impressed and hope that you are able to make castings.
Can´t wait to see it completed
How did you make the "hair"? I´m always confused how these fine details are made...
I can't wait to see the end result. Great job so far.
Take a look at my deviantart. http://kaassouffle.deviantart.com/gallery/
the first pic isn't working for me but the second looks fantastic so far, great work!!!
Holy crap, that thing is awesome! It looks like the Horsemen did it themselves!
That's absolutely killer, dude.
that looks pretty hot.
I don't watch the show that much, or have reference material to know how accurate it is.
maybe I just really like the way the character looks.
I know the figures generally have a hunched forward look, but the shoulders look really odd in relation to the neck.
well you wouldn't see this one on the show. it's a fan creation a kind of anti moss-man if you like!
but still a damn good bust huh!
