I think it was "The Valiant." Like "the Earth probe Valiant." Something like that. And that's from "Teela's Quest."Originally Posted by Lioncourt

In the classic show, there were not many continuity glitches, but I seem to remember one of them being that in an earlier episode Marlena's spacecraft had a different name than the Rainbow Explorer, which is its name in "The Rainbow Warrior", but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. Help?
Feel free to use this thread for other continuity glitch discussion, too.![]()

Yes you're referring to the early scene where Marlena is using MAA's invention to view her memory. You clearly hear her say "This is Lieutenant Marlena Glenn of the Earth probe Valiant" while trying to contact help.Originally Posted by chamita116

I remember all sorts of strange and pointless bits of trivia...
But I frequently don't remember what I had for breakfast.

Well remembering what we ate for breakfast is pretty pointless anyway. I'd rather remember MOTU.Originally Posted by Lioncourt

RIP Andy Conrad.
Maybe Earth probe Valiant is the name of something bigger than Marlena's individual space-ship...or some sort of code to use for communication.

Earth Probe Valiant could refer to a group of ships, with a common mission...namely, probing the galaxy for something or other. LIke alien life.
And Rainbow Explorer could be her individual ship.

Hehe, I had thought this was the only episode that hinted that she knew who He-Man was, but I just watched The Energy Beast on the new DVD which has the funny exchange of Randor asking what everyone thinks about having a He-Man Day, and Marlena looks sideways at Adam and says that "It's about time we recognized He-Man." :-)
Hey, I think "Search for the Past" also hints at it. When Randor and Man-at-Arms go out to look for King Miro, Queen Marlena purposely hunts Adam down to tell him to go after them. If she really thought he was the cowardly Prince of Eternia, she definitely wouldn't have sent him. Also, if she didn't know he was He-Man, she would have arguably sent someone, namely his bodyguard, Teela, with him.Originally Posted by Ardub
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I believe there is another continuity glitch in this episode. I guess it would really be in SOTS, though. Doesn't King Randor say to Adora that Man-at-Arms was with him when he pulled Marlena out of her ship. He clearly wasn't there in "The Rainbow Warrior." *shrugs*Originally Posted by Lioncourt

In "Teela's Quest", Duncan's machine shows Marlena remembering her coming alone from the ship after crash.Originally Posted by foxy11814
While "The Rainbow Warrior" suggests that Randor found Marlena. Now this could be seen as conflicting...or maybe Marlena came alone from the wreckage and then passed out later on, where Randor found her.
And SOTS adds Duncan to the whole mix.![]()
