Yup it would freeze every 20-30min or faster on some machines. With all firmware issues its not universal but it was something they needed to fix and Naughty Dog was notified of the problem.
Just like what happened to peoples Blu-Ray drives after the 2.4 firmware update (mine was fried and so Sony had to replace it) or Assassins Creed (game would lock up I think with the 2.0 update) a firmware update can be a dangerous thing.

was not aware of that, thought it only had 4 player ability, how do you get 7?
You just associate each controller with the system, and turn them on.
There are 4 lights at the top of the controller (marked 1-4). I believe that when you get to the higher numbers, 2 lights will light up, and if I recall correctly, the 2 numbers that light up will add up to be either 5, 6, or 7.
So for example, for controller 7, the lights marked 3 and 4 with both light up.
You can also reassign controller numbers, so even if you only have a couple of controllers, you can see what it looks like. There is an option on the PS3 menu that says "reassign controller". If you select it, you can change it to which controller you want it to be (1 through 7).

I don't know if I can discuss it here or not but has ANYONE noticed that game companys have been forced into 2 catalog type of things for most part of the year and the games that most of us know about already have been delayed and here they are. Well the 1st is develop problems which is understandable and the 2nd is they are waiting on next yr to release it and heres WHY. I read an article in Game Informer explaining why game companys are waiting on next year and they are saying because of the Christmax massacer that they don't want to happen to their game. Well to me thats just SAD I think that game companys would even DO that to gamers out their since thats what christmas is for in getting new games etc and playing them that morning. So they are going to waiting for 4 months because they don't want to end up being trashed from anything on Christmas and the game get left in the dust. The article kind of really ticked me off from reading it of what game companys said about christmas since I seen like 3 games they where suppose to come out BEFORE the end of the year and have now been held back till next yr. Has anyone read much about this and has it made you mad after hearing about it. I think if game companys do that on purpose then we need to revolt against the company and refuse to buy it to teach the companys a lesson on doing that. I know it won't happen but I think something like this should be done to teach them a lesson on doing stuff like this.

Cannot wait, this game looks freaking awesome! I like that they changed the camera to be more stready (not shaky like in RE Umbrella Chronicles), and the addition of the characters so its not a bland light gun aspect. And the RE Code Veronica stuff looks great updated!

No offense to anyone that lives there but I'm glad I don't live in Austrailia. They just banned Left 4 Dead 2.
It's the realities of the games industry I'm afraid. We're still very reliant on traditional retail channels and when we try to release a title is partly based on how willing they are to stock games at a given time.
There's a massive investment involved for publishers when reproducing games because of the basic reproduction costs and if you're releasing on the XBox; you have to pay roughly $500,000 per production run in license payments up-front. Add to that the fact that retailers don't actually by the games from the publishers; they for the games that they have sold in a certain time period, and return any unsold copies.
And let's not even get into the re-sale of used games directly after release. and the effect this has on profits for publisher and developers.
It makes sense to not release in a time of financial uncertainty when your company takes all of the financial risk, and you can't trust the retailers to "play fair".

Eh, I'll get the Turtles Smash Up game eventually, but it's not a high priority to me. I'm not that impressed by the character roster, both in the amount of characters & the characters chosen. Early on, from what I had read, this was being billed as not being specific to any one era/incarnation of the Turtles, which more or less suggested that we would get some kind of mix of characters specific to different incarnations of TMNT, and maybe even possibly different versions of characters that have been in the different incarnations. But all the characters that are in the game are pretty much based on either the recent CGI movie and the 200X cartoon series, and that's all well and good, but I'd still like to see Rocksteady & Bebop, and maybe even Tokka and Rahzar included. Basically, it would have been cool to have had something along the lines of the upcoming Turtles Forever animated movie character roster in game form.
And why are the Rabbids from the Rayman games in this? I have nothing against those games (I have the first one, and it's fun for what it is), but they have nothing to do with TMNT. It's bad enough that we get such a limited roster from only the most recent incarations of TMNT for a game that is meant to celebrate the 25 years of the property being around, but to then include characters that have nothing to do with TMNT is just insult added to injury.

What sucks is that there is a Technodrome level but no Bebop or Rocksteady and no Krang.
I would have loved to see the animated turtles as well, even if it was just as other skins.
The upside is that I think its a budget title so its going to be $39, PS2 port is $29

This is a game that I'll definately wait for a really good price drop or unbelievable sale before I purchase it... especially with everything else coming out right now.
Is it certain that these announced characters are the only playable characters in the game, or are they just the immediately playable characters with more that are unlockable as you go?

This isn't really "console war" related, but I figured it was the best place to post this. I just bought Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Wii and it is one of the best games I've played in years. It's a traditional 2D sidescroller with fighting game and RPG elements thrown in. The art is beautiful and the gameplay is amazingly fluid. I'd definitely recommend at least a rental to any old-school fans.

Its quite beautiful, I have played both the JP and US one and I am glad it came over here.
Its all hand drawn for those that did not know, that's a lost art in this current generation.
