Steam Summer Sale is still going on. I've gotten some crazy deals on games. Most of which are going to sit in my inventory until
December when I gift them to people for Christmas. Still, I did buy the Tomb Raider reboot for myself for only $5.
There have been deals on a lot of good stuff so far, Skyrim, Saints Row 4, Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, Dishonored, Sleeping Dogs,
the Bioshock Series, Borderlands 2 GOTY, The Batman games, Injustice, Mortal Kombat 9, Metal Gear Revengeance, the list goes
on, and on. All deeply discounted. Totalbiscuit has been doing salebox breakdowns throughout the sale.
But yeah if you're itching for some new stuff to play you can't beat a Steam Summer sale. The event is still going on until the 30th
Though I would treat the 29th as the last day as 30th may mean it will be over with on the 30th.

And remember this NeoGAF image when in doubt:

    Nope.

I like it. I have had it on my xbox 360 for months and have even completed it twice so I know exactly how to play.

Do any of you have Electronic Football 2 (1978)? I noticed there is a port on the left side. Is that for a power adapter?

I can't find much information about what type of adapter it needs.

Where did that come from? Is there some LOZ need that I missed?

Never mind. I just saw that it was for Hyrule Warriors. I thought they finally announced a Majora's Mask remake.

Lots of gamers are pretty much angry and ****** off over Nosgoth and it's concept.

Probably because hardcore Legacy of Kain fans are expecting a reboot or a brand new sequel of the brand.

I find it enjoyable to play to be honest. It's not Kain as I expected but I'm more concern over gameplay if they want to do a major product.

People find Sacred 3 to be mediocre because over different gameplay and lack of loot and storyline.

I've brought up the game before to everyone, but CHIVALRY:MEDIEVAL WARFARE is now coming to recently sunset consoles.

I've been playing the PC version for over a year, and it's been one of the best First Person Shooters
I've played. The melee combat is nothing that has been done in the genre before, allowing you to steer your different swings.
It also does something NEW with the Team Objective gameplay, giving you morally ambiguous, and even repugnant missions like pushing
a corpse wagon into an aquifer to poison the opposing kingdom. Or slaughtering a village, while the army of the kingdom tries to stop you.
Stuff that Skeletor would have done on TV when we were kids had the FCC not gotten up in Filmation's grill.

It isn't perfect. Like a lot of games it has its share of minor bugs. But the fact 30 Canadians made a game that can hang with AAA shooters
made by 600 people is quite a feat. Cracking 2 million copies in two years is also impressive.

To recap here's the PC trailer:

And the expansion pack (Which is included on Steam if you buy it as Chivalry Complete Pack)

I think Orgs consoles folks will appreciate the game. I rarely goes online on Chivalry over connection issues and latency with my American or British friends. But I'm willing to go in again to play with the Australian folks.

Most people uploading video game footage to a youtube channel are using a video capture card. The card can be internal or external.
They connect to your computer, and the software then captures the PC game, or if you're doing console games, you hook the console
up to the card instead of the TV. Then use the software to capture the footage of you playing the console game. Usually windowed on your PC monitor.

Then you save the footage, use another editing program like Adobe, Roxio, etc. to splice your footage, add voice over, etc.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV_tune...#Video_capture

Once your video is done you upload to youtube.

If you just want to STREAM, (ie: People watch you play live while talking) you can use Twtich.TV or hitbox for that. You'll still need a capture device
for old consoles. But Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 have a twitch app built in. PC gamers can use freeware broadcast software like OBS to broadcast the footage as well
as using it with the capture device to stream retro consoles.

I guess I should have been more informed....I know the basics of how to do it. been doing it since 1995. But I don't have anything HDMI enabled, be it set top box recording or computer based recording.

was wondering what brands, internal or external, folks rely on these days.

Ladies and gentleman, there's a major music update from Overkill.

    http://www.overkillsoftware.com/bigfatmusicupdate/

And the soundtrack is half price off on Payday 1 and Payday 2.

And the most important part of the soundtrack collection is..... They decided to not use .wav files anymore, Now it's under FLAC files.

    --------------------------------

And another side note, 4pm Eastern Time, Quake Live arrived in Valve's Steam store and it's play for free to all players.

Alright boys, let's get our hands dirty.

AVerMedia, and Happague make some nice stuff. Generally it's best to do stuff on your PC if it meets the requirements. Set top box stuff gets pricey, and it's not always
easy to get your footage on a computer to edit later.

You can do an internal PCI Express card, which takes up a slot like a sound card, or network card, etc. would. There are also
a handful of video cards that build a capture card/TV Tuner onto them. Usually these sacrifice GPU performance though. So
They're not ideal if you play PC games, as you'll have to turn off a lot of effects.

Most gamers, youtubers, people on blip, have a stand alone card. If you're too leery about opening up your PC yourself, and/or you
don't want to pay a technician to do it for you, you can choose to go with an external card instead.
Generally, they plug in to the computer with a USB cable. The main problem with these is the slower transfer due to the USB cable being
slower than the bus speed on a motherboard. 90% of the time they're fine. But occasionally you'll hear someone talk about how they had to
re capture footage that became corrupted during the transfer.

Whichever way you go, I would highly recommend you get one with not only the HDMI input, but legacy inputs as well. This way if you want to
capture footage from your NES or you have an old VCR with old VHS tapes of family movie footage you want (You can use a capture card for more than just gaming)
you can then capture that footage too. You'll pay more, but it's better than having to buy several capture devices.

Again with whatever you choose, you'll probably want to get a robust video editing software. That way you can do proper voice over, special effects, and/or beginning, and end
    credits sequences.

There are also Game capture software titles, but these focus on PC Game footage. FRAPS is the most recognized one. The best part of FRAPS is you can use it to display
the frame rate, so you can also use it to gage performance in game play. But there are others. I have one called PlayClaw 5 that I bought on Steam.
It's great as you can also use it with your webcam to make a pip. So if you want to talk while playing, and record that, you can. It's just a shame it doesn't have built in
broadcast software because it would be perfect to stream to twitch or hitbox with if it did.

Anyway, expect to spend a couple to a few hundred bucks between the hardware, and software. Video editing isn't cheap. Even if you're only doing game commentary or
    let's plays.
