4H 2-Up/vintage card backing colours
Orange tan skin on actual figs
This thread is only discussion about which colour-scheme fans prefer on Man-E-Faces.
If you want to VOTE for the MOTUC-line deco-choise for the figure, CLICK ON THIS LINK HERE.
Which colour scheme do you prefer? 4H 2-Up ala original card backing or the glo-tan orange skin ala vintage + new fig?
I personally prefer the original scheme we saw on the backs of the mini comics and on the 4H 2-Up. I never understood why he came out with orange skin in the vintage line and then again in the new line.

LOL, must be his vote in the Orange option there!Originally Posted by JVS3

Yeah I also think they could have thrown a bit of the darker blue in there somewhere too...
Plus I would make the pink in the 2-Up maroon.

Classic/2-Up.... But I don't mind the orange skin SO much... I figured that STRONGARM was a man from the same heritage/background/race as MAN-E with that orange skin of his.
I DO wish that the other paint details more closely matched the 2-up. Like the orange part between his helmet and his chestpiece - that should clearly not be flesh colored or Orange...
Just add him to the list of Custom Re-Paints.
BTW I'd love to see more of what people have in mind for Man-e-Faces "unmasked"!

I prefer the colors on the 4H 2-up/classic proto, but I like the version that was actually released, too. MEF is one of my favorite sculpts from the entire line.
The flesh colored one is much better. The other version makes him look like an Oompa-Loompa with a glandular problem.
You can have all of the toys in the world, but they're all worthless if you have no one to play with.

Iīd go with the 2-up version because that scheme resembless the classic prototype that IMO did look better then the final classic product.
Take care
Even tgough I'm not a fan of the pink cables on the 2-up, I prefer the 2-up colours. I never liked the orange skin![]()
Vintage-style! He's orange, men!Gotta keep true to the original. So this is acctually one of the figs where you don't acctually want a classic-figure accurate color-scheme?
Well I guess thatīs because the other color scheme is more or less classic too. It was that color scheme that everybody saw (on the cardbacks and in the UK annual) before the redone or should I say edited figure came out.Originally Posted by Predabot

Maybe everybody had skin diseases in Eternia that changed your skin color. Evil Lynn and Man-e-faces had the worst cases.
just not really diggin the maroon as much as the burgundy even though it is his classic color.
Orange skin??? Umm, isn't that just the colour of his form-fitting shirt? His face is fleshtone. I figured it was just a tight shirt, ala Superman or Batman.
One of the things I actually liked best about this character, was how much he looked like a superhero. That mask rocks!
Personally, I like the orange shirt look best. If he was fleshtone on his chest, he would look to exposed. He is more 'Techno' than Barbarian.

The 2-up is actually slightly more maroon/burgandy. The lighting in those photos we took sucks.Originally Posted by oICEMANo

Perhaps old Man-E likes his carrot juice a bit to much.

I like the vintage color scheme best.

I think the Orange/Flesh tone on the mechanical pieces of the new figure look grotesque. Oddly, MYP has MEF with a different facial flesh tone than his body, like he is wearing Orange armor..:
