Skeletor definately had some of the best variants, however with the modern line he had some of the worst... but that's another topic.

I went with Battle Armor... there's just a charm there that I can't get over.
They are the only vintage variants I still own.

However... I think a modern Dragon Blaster Skeletor would seriously be the cat's meow! Especially under the FourHorsemen's tutilage.

As a kid I never thought the toy did that dragon justice - It just looked like an elaborate piece of armor to me...

The Battle Bones minicomic made me realise that the dragon was an actual dragon!

Evil Robot Clone of He-Man sure sounds like a He-Man variant to me

I HAPPEN to be one of those that grew up believing that ScareGlow was meant to be Skeletor's Ghost. Even THEN I thought it was a wonky concept, since they were ALSO selling Skeletor at the same time, but the skull-head and the purple digs seemed to support the idea (Never mind the packaging description)

And yes, I'm aware that the fandom has come to a "consenus" on this issue, but consensus and canon are two different things. Roger Sweet's answer to the "ScareGlow question" was far from definitive, so there's no way to know what the Mattel execs (or even just the lowly copy-guy) was thinking when they tagged him they way they did.

I don't know why the bulk of the fandom is so dead-set on KILLING the ghost-of-Skeletor notion and wishing it never happened.

Not only does it apply nicely to Masters, but is probably a deep truth.

I'm happy with whatever people believe...

But I think a lot of people took the "Evil Ghost of Skeletor" a tad too literal, when Faker was also known as the "Evil robot of Skeletor"...

mmm... that the most sensible statement regarding Scare Glow not actully being Skeletor's ghost.

I always read it as him being a ghost of Skeletor but you make a very good point there.

The facts about Scare Glow are pretty much stated here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scare_Glow

Arguing that he was actually meant to be Skeletor's ghost is a lost cause.

Terror Claws. Those things could do some real damage, and they had a great Psycho inspired advert as well.

    I chose Dragon Walker.

    Then would be Battle Armor,
    Then would be Terror Claws
Then would be Laser Light (even though this is a fugly figure)
    Then would be other/custom

ScareGlow DOES NOT count. can someone PLEASE make some ScareGlow emoticons?

Well... I KNOW you're not active on these boards anymore, but I don't care, so here goes:

Guess you missed the recent release of MotuC Scareglow huh? It's finally been settled, and he was clearly never intended to be Skeletor from the future, except dead. He's his own evil entity, and he's ready to prove it to all of Eternia!

I have to go with B.A.Skeletor.I've always liked the B.A.figures especially the color combo Mattel used on B.A.Skeletor.It was a neat feature for it's time.

    My vote.

    1. Battle Armor Skeletor.

Not only was he my first MOTU figure, but he was fun to play with. At least until the 5,000th punch from He-Man broke his armor, and I had to manually spin it. He always looked cool in the old packaging artwork too. My favorite is the BA Skeletor/Panthor 2-pack.

    2. Dragon Blaster Skeletor

Looks awesome in the mini comic with the purple colors. But the toy version is just 'eh'. I think if the armor and dragon were 2 different pieces, this would be my #1. Hopefully, if they do a Classics version, the dragon will be seperate. The chain through the armor seems odd too. Can you imagine walking your dog with the leash tied to your chest?

    3. Laser Light Skeletor

The light up features are awesome. The cape looks cool. His face is well done. I'm just not a big fan of the techno armor, and his swollen looking feet.

    4. Terror Claws Skeletor

Looks like a 1980's WWF reject. The armor color is perfect. It just needs to cover his whole torso, and not look like a metallic sports bra.

    5. Scare Glow

I never owned this one as a kid, but saw it on the shelf several times. I always wondered how Skeletor died, and if I had missed it on the cartoon. Now that I know 'the truth' , Scare Glow is not near as cool story wise. However, as just a figure, you can't go wrong with a glow-in-the-dark Grim Reaper look alike.
yeaaaahh ..... but then that happened...

THESE TRADERS HAVE THE POWER !!! - Thanks guys!
