whats everyones favorite childhood cartoon
Im an 80s child and the 80s were about big robots. So its odd that I gotta say TMNT was my absolute favorite. I bought into everything from the cartoons, to the toys, to the movies, to the clothing even. Thats just something Transformers or Voltron couldnt do because they were taken off tv in my area very early on and I had no way of watching them let alone purchasing anything from them.
Better choice - I went for TRANSFORMERS.
I love the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and GI JOE shows, I really do, but the one that made that indelible impression and the one I always fall back on when depressed are those Robots in Disguise!
Power Rangers wasn't a cartoon...

Well this list is a little better than the last one. Pretty popular shows for the most part (although I would have replaced Jaycee with Thundercats and gave He-Man and She-Ra their own lines). For me 1.MOTU followed by Joe and Transformers.

I couldn't stand the Smurfs. Strawberry Shortcake was just ugh, too pink for me and I never got into Rainbow Brite. (Sorry Katy!)
I was a tomboy almost all the way and so action shows like Jonny Quest had me totally enthralled.
GR is my first love, followed closely by JQ, MOTU, POP, Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors, Jem, Voltron (I have said before that I love the Lions, but that the Cars had the better story line.), and Robotech!

Before MOTU I loved Superfriends and Spidey and his amazing friends. Then came MOTU and Transformers, gi joe and thundercats.

I have to go with Transformers. That cartoon was awsome and i still watch it now but instead of me and my brother watching it now it's me and my son. he loves the old 80's cartoons. And like me he also loves Masters of the Universe, TNMT, and Thundercats in that order. It's funny but when i was watching them in my youth i would never have thought i would see them with my son 20 years later.

Well, as others have pointed out, Thundercats should have been included.
And I don't think Power Rangers should have been included because for one thing it's not a cartoon (as others have pointed out). And also, even if you want to just categorize it as popular kids shows, it's still something that was kind of past the childhoods of most of the board members here. I know there are a few that are fans and still follow it, but that's just a handful, and odds are it still wouldn't be their favorite thing over shows that were more popular when they were younger.
And also, I think it would have been wise to have not inlcuded He-man or She-ra in the poll, and just had the poll asking what was your favorite show other than He-man and She-ra. I mean, with this being a fan site specific to those shows, naturally it was going to get the most votes. It's not an even playing field when including something that naturally most everyone here is a fan of, or else they probably wouldn't be here to start with.

MOTU, all the way. I didn't watch She-Ra all that often, but I was completely addicted to everything MOTU.
I watched the first two seasons of Transformers regularly, but lost interest after the movie, since they killed off most of my favorites.
I watched G.I. Joe pretty much throughout, even through the lamer episodes in 92-93.

For me its TF's,GI Joe, He-man,she-ra. Plus SW clone wars cartoon and also Thundercats along with some of the 80's disney stuff too.
