It sounds like a knock-off. There are quite a few. I've just ordered some from a Christmas toy catalogue because I was never keen enough on the Meteorbs to fork out a lot on e-bay for the genuine things to complete my collection.

I remember when I got the set for my birthday, I did not even know they were He-Man related until my mom told me. I alway had a place for them, although I know some people hated 'em.

Well I now officially really like my Meterorbs! The sets I bought were listed as being an assortment of 6, I ordered 6 "Safari" style and 6 "Dinosaur" style hoping for 12 unique molds and most of the MOTU related molds.

MOSTLY succeeded. Got an extra "Astrolion" And an extra T-Rex (No MOTU equivilant), and missed quite a few of the MOTU molds, (including the Filmation-shown Dinosrb ) BUT I did get a Zebra (Which is pretty cool) and best of all a Pterodactyl and a really cool Skeletal Stegosaurus!

But all and all, I really dig the Meteorbs now! But then I love most all of the classic vehicles playsets and critters
