Plus, they are more expensive, they usually do not come with accessories. As for the late part. Figures from the New 52 should have been out no later than Feb, but the first figure is not until June, and Superman is not even coming out until January. How can you keep your "main attraction" on hold for 16 months after his debut? That is stupid. ANd of course, since I want Resurrection Man, Voodoo, Grifter, Helspont, I am going to have to wait even longer than that. By the time DC gets to them, the New 52 universe will be reverted back to the original universe.

Yeah, he is right, they do say on their facebook page teh sub will be available. I just gave them a nice response:

How can you reoffer the sub? You said it takes 7 months to make sure you have enough product to cover the sub and then some day of sale product. Now you are saying people can just buy the sub the day the first figure of the sub goes on sale? How is that possible? Or have you been lying to us all of this time? It isn't bad enough you decide to cancel the DCU line on us, especially after showing us Larfleeze, then say there will be no new molds in the DC sub line, so no Doomsday, Killer Croc, or Granny Goodness, and finally make Jay tall and Atrocitus short, but now you have suddenly found a way to sell the sub again? What kind of ******** is this? Why not just offer the sub all year round then and let those who want to jump on the bandwagon at any given time for all of your lines?
Well they can reoffer the DCUC sub because its sub sales stunk so I think they are just taking from day of stock.

The doors won't be blown down for DCUC so they are simply trying to lock more people in instead of hoping the remainder is sold day of

The first shipment goes out in May and features an all-new 6” Golden Age The Flash figure. If you missed out on this awesome subscription, a limited quantity will also be available at MattyCollector.com on May 15th at 9am PT.
Mattel not only miserably failed their business classes, they apparently flunked English grammar, as well. As written, it does indeed say the "subscription" will be available, as the "limited quantity" has no other noun in the introductory phrase to refer to. But the context (and the fact that we know Jay will be up for day of sale) makes it clear they were talking about the figure, not the sub, being for sale.

Having dealt with patch notes from many video games, many big companies seem to not have people who specifically handle stuff like this. They let readers correct their mistakes or ask questions and they will come back and say 'yes, this is what we meant.' Businesses no longer have rooms full of secretaries to proof read everything, they typically have only a handful now since computers do most of the work.

And PR tends to be more about putting spins on what is said. With WoW they would slowly transfer you from 10million subscriptions to 10 millions players. When anyone who plays the game will tell you that is a loose correlation at best. Especially when you find out in places like China they only have one character per subscription (cheaper per though) and frequently have multiple accounts. Even in the US it's not uncommon for someone to have two or three. That just as an example of PR isn't going to be the best place to find 'the good English' either.

DC Club Infinite Earth day of sales

How quickly do these get sold out in?

    Minutes?
    Hours?
    Days?

Should I pre order them from another website to guarantee me these figures and pay a bit more or do you think I'll be safe getting them off Matty?

Most items from Matty that are not MOTUC tend to stick around for hours or days. I do not recall a DC item ever selling out in minutes

As long as you plan on being on Matty within 1-2hr of the sale starting you should be fine. If for some reason you miss out Big Bad Toy Store usually has all the Matty figures for ~$5 more because of their subscriptions they buy

The first figure in the DC Sub comes out next month, May 15th, and will be Flash (Jay Garrick.)

I'm going to merge this with the existing DC Classics thread.

So if the right Red Lantern boots were already sculpted and used on previous Red Lantern figures, why in heck did they have do cheap-out paint-only boots on Atrocitus? Swoosh pictures with him next to the previously released RL figures is are so embarrassing! Is it because it required slightly more plastic? I can't believe how awful that is.

They used the Public Enemies lower leg to add height, many fans were mad about Atrocitus's size.

Just checked out that fwoosh post to see the comparison. Looks pretty ok to me, but I'm not a big GL fan, so take that for what it's worth

Just hoping that DC can pull out of their sudden tailspin with their action figure lines...

Except the PE legs are the same size.

And it isn't like they even really did anything about his size. His body should be as massive as either Parasite or Etrigan.
Can someone PM me the US number for Matty? I want to talk to someone who might has a clue of what is going on.

I believe the PE lower legs pin is larger than a traditional DCUC figures. Since they decided to use the PE buck and Upper Legs they really had no choice but to use the lower legs as well.
I agree with you about his size but lets face it, during the Lantern War and Blackest Night his size changed from artist to artist. He looks too be 10' in the original promo shots with his Corps, but during some of Blackest Night he was eye to eye with Supes.

Yeah, but Lois had an ever changing wardrobe in Flashpoint. At the end of one issue, she would have an Amazonian dress on. The next issue would continue where it left off and she had a black shirt with a black jacket. Then she had a black button up shirt with no jacket when she made her broadcast to the world. Then when Superman saved her in Project Superman, she had a different outfit on.

Thought I'd drop a few videos here for you guys.

I think both figures are decent, for the most part. They'll definitely be good for filling holes in collections.

    Thanks for the reviews.

    I have DC subs.

The red on Atrocitus's costume looks dull to me.

I was surprised to see collar was so movable.

I don't know if DC will have a retail line or not but now that marvel legends is around (back) I don't see how DC can not have a retail line.

Went to my LSC today and found a 1st app Batman! I really like the original costume (I previously bought the DC Direct First App figure to) and this figure is really nice, the molded cape restricts the movement a bit however I really liked it and am glad to have him in my collection

I found that Batman two days ago, and I picked him up, but only because he is the first appearance costume. The figure itself is crap. That came is awful and the head is way too small.

BTW, what is up with there being no DCU SDCC figure? WOuld it have been that hard to at least make Larfleeze?

So I think I am going to return the 1st Appearance Batman because I just noticed on the receipt that Target charged $19.59 for him.

Oh wow, that is a tad high unless Mattel did some price change that I missed

Yep, I returned him and when I looked at the price tag on the shelves, they were all $19.59 for the Legacy figures. I am so glad I got Catwoman off Amazon for $15 when they had her.

Yikes - that's a pretty steep increase. If Mattel relaunches the line at retail next year at that price, it'll last all of one wave. Unless, of course, the figures are plated with gold.
