I think that's the problem with Zod and the Kryptonian villains. The versions from the movies are so much more well-known than the comic book ones. But since they are making the 12" movie-based dolls, maybe they can make them as DCUCs. I mean, they did it for the new Batman movies.

Now that they are saying Zod will be the villain of the next Superman movie, Mattel may just do an SDCC exclusive three-pack with the Kryptonian villains--having grossly missed the chance all last year during the Zod season of Smallville. They'll use the comic versions I think--either with Kru-El and Faora as they were featured in comics back when Superman II came out, or the new comic book versions of Zod, Ursa, and Non. That's assuming that the DCUC line survives to the arrival of a new Superman movie.

Does anyone like this version of Zod?

Besides Terrence Stamp performance, Jim Lee's design was the only other personification of the character that I thought as a real threat to Superman, almost as a "reverse" Superman

Last I heard was mid-to-late October, so hopefully very soon. Not that I'm looking forward to trying to find this wave at the horrible WMs in my area (I never saw wave 5, and only saw the Batman from Wave 10 once - nothing else), but am looking forward to the actual figures themselves.

Not sure if Matty's actually given a real reason for the prolonged delay on this wave - it should have been out 3-4 mos. ago.

That's weird. I already got Wave 15. How was Wave 15 released before 14? Are we, um, now supposed to now refer to 15 as 14?

Not that it's any big surprise, but in today's issue of Toyfare, they give the results of the fan CnC poll. Nekron will be the Wave 20 CnC, who won with 34% of the vote. King Shark came in 2nd with 20%, Shaggy Man & Wildebeest were 3 & 4, (can't remember which was which) Girder came in 5th, and Blockbuster (my personal vote) came in dead last.

    For sanity's sake, DCUC15 will remain 15.

Mattel said there were some kind of logistical problems quite a while ago, but I don't think they ever elaborated, and I haven't seen any real follow-up from them - they've been pretty silent. But it does rather throw off the sequence.

Not surprised about Nekron winning the poll, but am surprised to see Blockbuster lose it so badly - he was my choice as well. I'm all for Bronze-Age Batvillains in the line!

Wait, wave 15 is out? What vendors have it already? I had to preorder it just a few weeks ago!

I'm really hit hard by wave 14. I mostly only want Tyr, and maybe Obsidian and Kamandi, but I also want the Ultrahumanite. Walmart stinks.

He'd make a great figure, but he's not my preferred Zod any more than the one in red armor was. I'd be much happier with both designs if they had different names.

A lot of e-tailers have it already. Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, etc... The wave has also been found at some K-Marts.

Currently, Amazon only has OMAC, Jemm, GA Starman & Golden Pharaoh in stock.

My LCS just got theirs in today. I'm not sure if they still order direct from Mattel, or if they go through Previews.

Either way, I'll get them next Tuesday!

I thought Mattel was working on a way to rerelease Gentleman Ghost WITH the Giganta parts. Is it confirmed that they aren't included?

I don't think any 2 pack has ever included a BAF part. Heck, they don't even always come with all of their original accessories let alone BAF parts.

I got into DCUC way late in the game and I really want Hawk Girl but I have no desire to own the Gentleman Ghost so I will probably pass on this set.

I think I'm going to hold out hope for a rerelease of Gentleman Ghost with the Giganta parts... that was the wave that made me stop collecting the line so avidly; it seemingly never hit here, and the only one I've been able to find since has been Vigilante, who I found out later, was part of a refresh case. I still need both figures in that two pack, but I won't rebuy GG just for Giganta's pieces.

Yeah, It was confirmed on the Matty site under the news release announcing this set. (Along with the Parasite/Supes set) Figures and their accessories only - NO BAF PARTS.

Well that sucks. I recall ToyGuru saying that they were gonna work on getting Gentleman Ghost rereleased with mini Atom and Giganta parts. I guess not. Makes me continue to wonder if the Matty Wave 5 sets were just leftover stock from Walmart.

Just read on Matty that Wave 15 is supposed to hit K-Marts this Sunday. (If yours hasn't already put them out) They'll be on sale for $7.75 each next week, from their already cheapest retail price of $12.99!

Aha! Here is that image I was refering to, the tray liner of the DC75 CD. Thanks to the Aquaman Shrine:

MOST of these characters have been part of DCUC and a lot of them are really ONLY notable nowadays because of that, like Imperiex or Jack Knight or Jemm! Dawn Granger is the current active Dove, but I believe Don Hall will be the one that gets made into a toy. And Steppenwolf ONLY looks like that in the toy line. In the comics, they still draw him the way Kirby originally designed him. So, does this mean the rest are on their way? Here's hoping!

I'm thrilled to see my favorite DC hero made that artwork: Barbara Gordon as Batgirl!
