Well I have to say Mattel is setting themselves up to fail. They might as well return all our money and cancel the sub because they are not getting a second year of a sub. They obviously understand nothing about boosting business and keeping customers happy. The are saying how great the MOTUC fans are, well that is because they have no other outlet to buy the figs other than online.

If they gave us 12 awesome figs that we wanted instead of garbage they would have our business for years to come. But instead they are raising prices, cutting out accessories and C&Cs, and just reusing parts. Great business practices Mattel.

My understanding, from something I read a while ago, is that the Metal Men are a given...I believe they were already planned out, and just being released incrementally. Same deal for Elasti-Girl, and probably Mento...I'd be very surprised if those guys don't make it out.

I also personally think Ra's is a given as well, but I have no evidence to back that up. With the new Bat-movie this year, it's probably more likely than not.

Just looking at them I thought they had been reusing parts the whole time, with only head, feet and hands looking different. I know there is about 3 different chest sizes (not including the female figures).

About cost, DC Direct figures I used to get for 15 bucks now cost 25, Doctor Who figures that cost me 14 now cost 17, I saw Walking Dead action figures but they cost 16 bucks a piece, I got a bunch of Mini Mates for 4-5 bucks for a pack back in the day now they cost 7-9 bucks for a pack.

I know people have mentioned recent price jumps for G.I. Joe and Star Wars also, costs are going up all over the place just some more so then others.

I think he'd be more likely to show up in the Legacy line, as opposed to the sub or DCnU line...

That would make sense, but I think the Legacy line is going away. I think it was apparently just a place-holder until the All-Stars and Dark Knight Rises stuff hits.

The only thing that was announced for Legacy that hasn't hit is the Batman/Catwoman Arkham City pack, which there's been no word on. There was rumor of other stuff a ways back, but it was all Arkham City or Movie Master related, and nothing official was ever said.

The Classic Catwoman in the purple dress and green cape has hit though? If so, dang, I gotta get on the ball!

The news about Doomsday is exactly what I was afraid would happen with that thermometer crap. He is without a doubt THE oversized figure that should have been made by now and would have sold the subscription in a heartbeat if he'd been shown. I know, I know, they didn't have enough time to plan like that, but now they're crying poor house for next year and saying sub sales have to improve first? Uh, no, that doesn't work because that's just a catch 22. There won't BE good enough sales if they don't offer the fan-demanded characters. You include Doomsday to get people to buy, you don't try to entice them to buy stuff they don't want so they'll MAYBE get a CHANCE to buy him in another year. I feel ashamed as a MOTUC collector for spoiling Mattel with that kind of loyalty. Maybe the option is nothing. Maybe that's what we've got to look forward to with this line, we're dead fans walking and don't even know it. What really got me started on the line originally was stuff like Black Manta, Wonder Woman, and that kickass Ares figure back in wave 3. In my view, two of those ARE fairly obscure compared to what we were seeing in DC toys for years--and Wonder Woman wasn't making a lot of appearances either. I'm sorry to all the fans who really love JSA, Starman and OMAC, but I hate that those are so dominant now, but I still don't have a Ra's, Vandal Savage, General Zod, or Granny Goodness. I've only got a Manhunter because they overkilled GL last year (and no Grandmaster, sigh). Now I can just hope that Man of Steel gets Zod and Faora made and Dark Knight Rises gets a Ra's, but still, the chances of this line being cool enough to attract more fans in order grow and/or get better seem very very grim to me. I guess there's hope Mattel just wants to coast now and will make figures "right" if this line survives to see a better economy. That it's alive at all maybe is the hope? I don't know, but I feel like I need to walk away until DCUC comes back to my side of the sandbox with characters I want.

I'm just about done with this DCIC or whatever it is sub. We have heard bupkis on this subscription. Seriously, we haven't even seen the Poison Ivy that was teased, what, 6 months ago?

I really want a Poison Ivy and Huntress figure, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they pull the plug on this line after the initial offerings.

I think they've been holding back on news until Toy Fair. Two more weeks.

My guess: Six figures. We'll get the confirmation of who is shipping when. We'll see the final versions of the four figures we've been shown, we'll see Ivy, and maybe one or two more. That'll put us well into summer releases...they'll hold off on the fall until SDCC.

They need to show us more than just the three figures we have already seen. We already know the figures for April, May, June, they need to show us July, Aug, Sept, Oct, and then all of the oversized figures coming out in those months.

Why? We've already bought the sub. They don't need to do anything else until SDCC, really, if you look at it from a cynical perspective.

It'd be great if they did. I'm just saying don't get your hopes up - I doubt we'll see Sept/Oct figures at Toy Fair. I don't think we'll see anything past August, just based on previous years' patterns (a la MOTU.)

I do think you're right about the first oversized figure (not counting Metron), who I'd assume will come out in the early summer, maybe June? (I'd think probably every three months?)

    So I'd look to see:
    Club Exclusive: Metron
    April: Flash
    May: Atrocitus
    June: Starman
    July: Poison Ivy
    August: TBD
    Oversize 1: TBD

(Note: I don't know if that's the order they're being released in.)

I just can't see Mattel going all the way into the fall with reveals right now - but again, if they do, I'll be pleased.

I agree, they're more likely to want to save enough to reveal at SDCC and use that to hype the line/sub for 2013 (assuming there is another one on sale then after that thermometer torture).

I have to agree - I think Mattel's only going to show us enough of the figures at Toy Fair to get us through to SDCC, where they'll show off all the rest.

I think there will be, last year the rug was pulled out from under them by DC and I think they were scrambling to put together something and make it look like they had it planned.

Hopefully this year its as organized as other sub lines so DCU fans will go more in knowing they are going to get figures

Sigh, having to get another Batman just to get a Talia body with Catwoman's head...

BTW, does Catwoman actually come with her whip this time?

Now seeing the figures scheduled for Club DC Infinite Earths, I'm glad that I did not sign up for it.

Although, I was hoping to see the "Super Powers" colors Penguin and it wasn't.
Does anyone know if it has been cancelled?

    To clarify:

    April Figure: Flash (Jay)
    Sub Exclusive (April): Metron w/Chair
    May Figure: Atrocitus
    June Figure: Starman
    July Figure: Mirror Master
First Oversized, Date TBD: Rocket Red
    Figure Date TBD: Poison Ivy
Figure Date TBD: Platinum with Tin
    Figure Date TBD: Black Mask

Penguin was for a retailer who cancelled; no word yet on where he'll end up, or if he will.

Overall, I'm very happy with what they've shown.

What the hell? I thought Poison Ivy was going to be the classic version since this is what this sub is supposed to be for. I love that version, but that was not the PI I was told this line would have.

On the other hand, Black Mask and the two Metal Men look awesome. Why the hell do we have Red Rocket? I did not vote for him to be the sub for a reason. Where is Ras al'ghul or Vandal Savage?!

So two of the oversized figures down, one to go and we all know it will not be Doomsday or Granny Goodness...

That Ivy is beautiful, but I also would have preferred flesh-tone skin & some type of footwear. I'm still happy to get the one shown...

Rocket Red is kinda off for me, and I still have no interest in Starman, even with the alternate head.

Black Mask & Mirror Master are full of win!
