Awww, she wasn't that bad. The one I snagged online is kind of a cutie. Not as cute as the prototype photos but cute enough.

I'd love to get the Kara Zor-El Supergirl if Mattel ever decides to release it to my area. *grumbles* The Linda Danvers Supergirl never came to my neck of the woods so I had to get her online.

I just call him Lava Doomsday because the color scheme reminds me of that episode of JLU where he fought Superman inside the volcano. It looks as if he's being lit by the light cast by the lava. As repaints go, it's not bad one, just not enough to justify another purchase.

I completely agree with those, but Batgirl has been made. She is currently available in a Target 2-pack and will be released individually, along with a Cassie Cain variant. I'd also like to point out that Catwoman has been sculpted and is waiting in the wings...

All good points, but the problem is that DC has restricted Mattel to the Batman and Superman family only. As far as anyone can figure, they're afraid that a full out, Marvel Legends type line would cut into the DC Direct market share too much.

It's so frustrating around here because places don't really get any new figures in ever. I've lucked out and gotten everyone so far through hard looking and much later than everyone else gets them. I had to get Azrael and Mr. Freeze on Ebay though since Wave 3 basically never made it here

. Every Wal-Mart around here still has the same 3 Scarecrows from series 1 hanging on the pegs.

I knew batgirl had been made just needs a single release many many people aren't located near a target.

The second well that sucks. DC has a potential to get more characters known through this series with younger toy collectors and non comic book fans.

Cool, I think the nickname makes sense. I just feel bad for those who missed out on the first one, I doubt this repaint will do much to reduce that frustration.

I took the packaging literally when they talked about the great sculpts, with a classic appearance. I was expecting the colours to always relate to a characters appearance in comics, or a different media format.

Too bad the line has great potential and still can be an awesome mainstream retail DC line that both succeeds in lifting the recognition of more obscure characters and offers stunning Action figure sculpts.

People missed out on Doomsday? I see him a lot around here. If anyone still needs him let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I havent seen anything past wave 2.
And I can't beleive they still havent shown up at Toys R Us. Its got to be the worst marketed Batman/Superman line ever.

I am sorry that people in the U.K. are having trouble finding the line too.
I have been able to find the first three waves in Australia, in the entirety. However, it does not bode well for the future.

In Australia Wave one was available at the following places:

Toys R Us,

David Jones Department Store,

Wave 2 was available at:

Toys R Us,

Myer (Department Store),

Wave 3

Was Available at:

Target (Discount/ Department store).

Not one retailer in Australia has carried all three released waves, Toys R Us has come the closest having backed them twice carrying both waves one and two. I do worry about where of if I will be able to find future waves. Mattel Australia says we will receive a new wave around February/ March.

On a side note, I can still find and pick up all figures except wave two's Doomsday, as he has now sold out. However, I was fortunate I was able to grab him, before he quickly disappeared from stores.

Edit: Mr Freeze has sold out at all of the Targets near me now. So, if anyone needs anything I can still get all of wave one, and almost all of both wave 2 and wave 3 with the exception of Doomsday and Mr Freeze. But bare in mind shipping from Australia is not the cheapest.

A couple of my local Walmart's just got in the newest wave. They have all of the figures, but I only picked up...

- Steel
- Steel (Chase variant with chrome "S" on chest)
- Parasite

They also had the blue costume Supergirl, the Black emblem Superman, regular paint Superman, and the lava Doomsday.

Yeah, there definitely seem to be some distribution problems with this line. Aside from the 2 exclusive two-packs, Target hasn't gotten anything since the Doomsday wave almost a year ago. Ditto for TRU, and they actually put out another case each of the Bane/Scarecrow series and the Doomsday series right after Christmas, a few weeks ago. Wal-Mart has been about the only place to find this line here, and only 2 of the 3 Wal-Marts carry it. I've only seen wave 3 once, and that was when I saw Azrael but couldn't get him at the time. I've had decent luck, as the only figure I haven't seen (up until the current Steel and Supergirl figures, anyway) is Lex Luthor. The line sells extremely well here, once a case is shelved, it's lucky to last more than 2 or 3 days. (The only exceptions are the terrible two-pack Superman that was reissued with series 4, and the Supergil refresh from the same series.) I just hate that the stores aren't kept in stock of this line, it could be a much bigger hit than it is if only the distribution was there.

Well I spotted one of the new figures today at a Wal-Mart. They had Parasite, but no Steel, Doomsday or Supergirl. Tons of Superman and black S Superman.

Well, I caved today and got Parasite, Steel, and Supergirl. With the way that stores hardly restock anything around here, I figured it'd be a long time before they showed up around here, if ever. At least I'm completely caught up now and can relax until the next Batman wave.

I FOUND KARA ZOR-EL!

Incredibly cool figure, with a lighter shade of blue than Superman. Found it at a Walmart, but Steel and Parasite were missing. Odd, huh?

I've been doing some reporting for SupermanHomepage.Com about this current wave (perhaps you've seen the first report on the main page under my name as Sword-of-Krypton). I'm trying to find out if any of the new purple-packaged wave has been seen anywhere besides Walmart. Has this wave only been available at Wally world thus far?

I appreciate all the help you guys can give.

I found Mongul today at Walmart Yesterday and on the Package it showed a Cyborg Superman, and a Black Costume super as well as a Superman with a hood. Looks like Mattel didn't learn there lesson. Mongul is how ever really cool

i believe they go for around $8.99 or 9.99 US. i forget since i don't buy these all that often as i can rarely find any of the ones i want.

Thats about right. they range from $9-$10 each.

I have seen the new purple backercards, but only seen sups and reapinted sups and bizzaro on that card.

A buddy of mine picked up the new Steel, Parasite, and orange repainted Doomsday.

I didn't even know that Cyborge Sups and the other ones were going to be in the DC heros. I can't wait to get those too.

Yeah I hat to say it, but I'm done with this line already. It's MOTU all over again, I can only find the Superman figure in the new package. My walmart has close to 8 pegs full of the two superman figures.

Another bang up job by our buddies at Mattel.

yeah the new wave is Black Costume superman (not just the shield), Kal-el (with hood), Black costume supergirl, Bizarro with bling, Mongul and doomsday.

I finally got the supergirl I picked up the kal-el, didn't see the black costume and both villains are there I will pick up later.

Mattel still needs to work on this issue.
