A friend of mine has an account with Mattel. He says, that Mattel sent him an email. This e-mail stated that the Cyborg Superman, and Two Face cases are only going to be available to companies with Mattel Accounts, and not Retail Outlet Stores. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Also the Two Face and Cyborg Superman Cases are packed with comics, not dioramas.

If that is true....MATTEL can pretty much not expect to ever get another dollar out of my wallet! I am proud to say that I hadn't given them any of my hard earned money since the fall of the 200X MOTU line. Last summer what DC Superheroes first started coming out, I begrudgingly picked up the Superman, Bizzaro, and Doomsday figures. I opened them up that night and messed around with them for a few minutes before placing them on my shelf. I could tell right then that while the figures had really nice looking scuplts, they were a little over articulated with very loose joints (Superman and Bizzaro's torso joint and all three of their thigh joints were super loose). I really liked them so I started looking out for the Batman wave that was coming and much to my disapointment, when I layed my eyes on the Batman figure I saw the horror of exactly how bad a figure can look if articulation is the only thing a company focus's on. It was horrible. The Bane, Croc, and Scarecrow were really nice looking figures though. The Bane and Scarecrow were previously unreleased figures in the US under the 4-Horseman sculpted BATMAN line that Mattel put out towards the end of the last MOTU run. And the Croc figure was a repainted version of the Croc from that line with a new head. These figures were a little more like the MOTU figures in that they were sculpted beautifully and had decent articulation, but didn't let that articualtion get in the way of the asthetics of the figure. The Darkseid and Lex Luthor figures of the DC Superheroes line are the same way and they are my two favorite figures so far from the line. Since I first started with the line I have picked up probably about 65%-70% of the figures that have been released, and have gone back through various after-market sources to find a couple of good BATMAN figures from the ill-fated Mattel BATMAN line to fill in the hole where BATMAN would go since none of the releases from the DC Superheroes line satisfied me enough to purchase them. But now with MATTEL seeming to be up to its old tricks in their assortments and case ratio's I think I will just spend my money on more Transformers and Star Wars items. I refuse to go out of my way to track down figures that I want like Two Face. If they are not going to offer these figures in the regular assortments to the regular retailers (Walmart, Target, Toys R Us) then they can kiss my ***. They wont get another dime out of me!

I wonder what that tells about the success of the line. Is it going downhill so Mattel once again tries to make some final bucks with silly repaints? Or do they have to make their cases that repaint-heavy cause they gotta spend money to pay for the licence that was necessary to produce new molds? I'd really be curious to know how "well" the line's doing in sales.

I dunno, but I predict that the Two-Face and Cyborg Superman figures will demand at least $100.00 on the secondary market when they come out. And collectors will pay it. That's why I ordered a couple of cases. So I don't have to pay $100.00 a figure!

    So says the Sword.
Oh, then your's is one of the exceptions. Before the blue-suited Supergirls came out, the DCSH brand manager said that Supergil would be a Wal-Mart exclusive, but would show up in a couple of other places for a short time in 2006. None were reported showing up in 2006, and with all the late shipping going on, I'm guessing that your's is one of these.

The Blue Supergirl is NOT an exclusive. It is offered to ANY Mattel customers who have an account.

They will NOT be available at any Mass Market Retail Outlet!

Look for these at your comic shops, online toys stores ect.

So, when is the new Supergirl supposed to show up?? Is there a reason why no Supergirls ever come to my area stores??? My stores are still trying to sell the three shelf warmer figs from the first Batman wave which holds up any new figs from coming in.

The reason your not seeing any supergirls is because they are 1 per case. And scalpers and collectors alike are grabbing these up!!!

Man, that sucks if the battle damaged version of both Sups an Bats are not coming out...those were actually repops I was looking forward too.

I think those would look great next to thier respective counter-parts.

Great scen to have damaged Bats with Bane. And then Damaged Sups with Doomsday.

Well guys just got word from my friend, I will be getting 2 cases of figures next week. I just don't know what assortment I got. I will post pics as soon as I get them.

Kal-El, don't get mad. I'm just relaying the message that Mattel sent in an e-mail. It just said that those 2 case assortments will not be available to Mass Retail Outlets. But that don't mean Walmart and others will not get them. Calm down, finish your Pepsi and have a snack.

    NEXT WEEK GUYS!!!!!! PICS!!!!!

*NOTE* If I'm getting these next week, it's likely everyone else is getting them too. Check out ebay in the next few days.*

I will be opening my Cyborg Superman!!!!

    Is Blue-Sleeve SuperGirl rare(ish)??

I *almost* feel bad about scarificing one to a custom then....

Those blue sleeves ane bare hands are JUST what I needed though

    Minor Goldmine

This weekend at a TRU I bought the blue suit Supergirl (left behind a re-deco Doomsday) and later that morning at a Wal-Mart bought Mongul and the Bizzarro with new colors and the neck "bling", as I like to call it.
I consider myself pretty damn lucky! Places haven't had crap in a long while around these parts. Things are finally turning around.

Camo Bane and Knight Shadow Batman out...?

I was lucky enough to finally find a Mongul at a store the other day and got super excited that I had finally gotten caught up. I was then trying to decide whether I wanted to fork out the cash and buy Bizarro re-deco and the black suit Superman on eBay. I only really like the comic acurate figures but am not too sure on if there was ever a black suit Superman. I know there was one but not with a cape so can anyone help me out with this one? Anyway, as I was looking on eBay, I came across 2-3 auctions for Camo Bane and Knight Shadow Batman! Has anyone seen these? As exciting it is to see these, I was kinda bummed out that they're out now that I was finally caught up since no new figures ever show up around here lol. Oh, and lastly, was Cyborg Superman ever released? I saw him on the side of the Mongul package but have never seen him in stores or on eBay.

Very, very, very, very, very rare in my area since I want it. Damn Wal-Mart, kmart and target for not getting anything past last year's first wave of Batmans!!

Its not just the UK then?

I can't believe the lack of retailer support these things seem to have got compared to Marvel Legends. I mean, you'd think Superman and Batman would be names stores would feel to be a guaranteed seller, especially with the recent movies
What next? It seems every month lately there is something..
