Bane came out fantastic. Ball jointed ankles, thigh cuts, good range of motion in the hips.

Daniel Pickett at AFI got a small teaser at Comikaze. If you saw Mattel's display for DCU, they were arrayed exactly like the old Super Powers cardbacks - including the 'lost' fourth wave. Apparently, Scott said that while the line will be ending with the previously announced last four figures & Doomsday, they have one last 'surprise' for the fans coming out, which will be the official end of the line.

Evidently, there was a clue in the booth, and since the Super Powers theme was so prevalent, the rumors I've heard would indicate some kind of SP tie-in. Presumably something pertaining to the figures in the last wave? (A SP-blue Superman, or Gold Superman, with Mr. Mxyzptlk pack-in, seems to be the most popular guess.)

We should find out what this is about at Toy Fair in Feb.

The DCC Batman is an absolute beast of a Batman figure. The face is right out of the game and very lifelike without any of the angular sculpts of the Asylum and City figures. The ab crunch makes a huge difference, as well as the range of motion in the ankles. Other than not being able to do sidekicks, he's pretty much my ideal Batman figure. He's got Batman's serious business look down. Nailed it, so he always looks bad ass no matter what. He's armored like crazy, so he's ready like someone his stature needs to be. I love it. He is not a statue.

I don't think the Mattel one even looks right anymore

There was also a card with letter "R" from "SupeR Powers" logo.
Could this mean that actually they would like to release Rocketman? They won't tool a new figure, but they can repaint a Rocket Red figure. It would be awful and extremely obscure, but I never understood Mattel marketing and is not quite likely either.

As everyone, I'd like Unleashed Doomsday, but if it would be a final Super Powers item, I'd love the light blue Superman with Mr Mxyzptlk or SP Batman. Gold Superman would be terrible

As far as what was shown for the new 6" line (I am softening on that with the Matty stuff shown, so I may wind up getting at least some of them), I'm hoping the regular GL figure can accommodate the pieces from the John Stewart pack. I definitely would want to make all the GLs, but don't want to pay $20 bucks three times if I can just Frankenstein the extra heads and hands on the cheaper retail GL.

Well, I grabbed everyone from Arkham Origins series 1 except for Batman, but I'll probably have to grab him due to SCB's pictures.

So far I've only reviewed Black Mask here:http://www.thepicreview.com/2013/11/...mask-from.html

He's OK- no QC issues like some DC Collectibles figures from last year (My Talia, Deadshot, Azrael, and Killer Croc all broke or were broken right out of the oackage) but his articulation is very static. It reminds me of some of the earlier DC Direct figures. The head sculpt is nice but that suit is really messy looking.

Walmart had a 5 pack a few years back you can find on ebay for about 50-60 with shipping.

Well if he can pass the predator test, he's a keeper. My favorite Batman figure ever.

I think that Batman passed the Predator test with flying colors.

I opened the Arkham Origins Joker and am pretty happy with him. He's not very articulated but does have a great, creepy vibe: http://www.thepicreview.com/2013/11/...om-arkham.html

How does DC Superheroes Superman compare to a DCUC Superman. Been opening my figures, and I could use my Superheroes Superman instead of getting a DCUC one, just need to know how they compare to each other as far as sized etc.

Yeah, I finally got some information on the web. Basically the DCUC is slightly taller and bulkier and different blue and different heads of course. So I will just use him save myself spending extra cash. I think with that, I just need to find a Starfire and finish off Killowog and my collection is complete enough for me. A few others I wouldn't mind having but either nothing I am going to fret over unless I find a good deal or just not going to worry about because I doubt I will get a good deal (never saw any of GLC wave 1).

Just finished reviewing the Arkham Origins Bane: http://www.thepicreview.com/2013/11/...om-arkham.html

Now I'm just waiting for my Batman to arrive! I wasn't going to get him, but SCB's pics definitely sold me on him.

Yeah don't even think about skipping that Batman.
Bane is actually very disappointing after what they did with Batman or even what they did with Arkham City Bane. He's basically just a giant statue. He's got the ball jointed head, swivel elbows, swivel knees, but without any waist or ab cut, you can't really pose him. Yeah sorta got those DCUC hips, but they don't function. It's basically a t-crotch at the end of the day. He's got small open hands, I think fists would have been much better.

    Let the games begin!

I love the pic of him and Crossbones. I was going to use one of those in a scale comparison pic, but didn't. He really does share a lot of style similarities with ol' Crossobones (who is one of my favorite Marvel Legends and one of the only 20 or so that I own).

Mr. Hammer is another quality figure. The sculpting details and the paint on him are fantastic. He's quite huge, not deluxe Croc, Grundy, Bane huge, but probably bigger than most of the figures you own. Articulation is almost perfect. He needs some rocker ankles for those of us who like action figure photography and posing.

Only downside is you need to buy him in a two pack with previously released Harley. I never picked her up, so kind of a bonus for me. Don't own his brother yet, but I will after how much I like this one.

Someone at the Toy Show yesterday told me that the DC Mattel lines are over. I've been too busy to keep-up on this, but is it true?
No more stuff for sell, all donated, done!

Yep. DCSH/DCUC/DC Club Infinite Earths ends with Batzarro next month. The five figures shown/announced at SDCC will be released periodically next year, and there's one 'last surprise', but then that's it.

Mattel will be doing a new 6" Total Heroes line at retail, but it's not quite the same style and will most likely just be main characters. There'll also be a 4" inch line of media tie-ins, (Super/Bat films, Arkhamverse) taking the place of Movie Masters.

Mattel still has the license they just aren't doing a more collector focused line anymore (not to say they will or won't again in the future).

Saw a 66 Batman Catwoman and noticed she would make a pretty good Talia to go with the Ras I will be getting in the mail in a few days.

Waist articulation and removable wings would have put him over the top, but the wings are the best thing about him. Just makes him magnificent as a stand alone piece. Lots of useful articulation. Attachments are nice. The branchy forearms are nice and thorny.
