I think my biggest problem with the Catwoman that I have is that she has this dirty blackwash over her entire face that looks like either she just climbed Santa Claus-style out of the chimney, or has a five o'clock shadow. Mmm. Sexy.

Mine doesn't have blackwash, just really tan skin. I guess I lucked out with the paint job. I really love this figure - you can pose it in so many famous Catwoman poses, and the proportions are perfect for her. I'd buy a classic Catwoman, but since I'm a sucker for black vinyl, I'd prefer a Movie Masters version from Batman Returns.

I don't have the backwash problem ither. I bought a prototype version and painted her the same except no wash on the face.

Found a Shazam late last night at Wally's. And I have Mothman, Hawkman, and both Superman figures shipping out to me on monday...so by weeks end I shall have a complete Blastaar...I mean Kalibak!!!! And now I am current for all DCUC and most of DCSH's too!!!

My figures from Wave 6 that I ordered from Cornerstorecomics.com came in on Friday! I've got Hawkman, Killer Moth, and Mr. Miracle!!! They are so awesome! Hawkman is the best Hawkman figure ever made!!! I can't wait for Wave 8 to come out with Hawkgirl.

For All Australian Collectors of DCUC.
I emailed Mattel Australia just last week...

    My email-

    From: Matt Felice
    Sent: Tuesday, 10 February 2009 1:03 PM
    To: Info, AUST
    Subject: Product Enquiry

    Hi Mattel,

I am writing to enquire about an Australian release for your DC Comics Unlimited Classics (DCUC) line of action figures. I have been collecting this line since it initial release and spending so much money on shipping costs because the only way to acquire these great action figures is to buy them from the U.S. I am hoping that Mattel Australia will be bringing them over to our shores and have them available from Australian outlets like K-Mart, Big W, Toys ‘R’ Us, Target and Myer. I had heard a rumour that they would be released here in late February or early March. Is there any merit to this rumour. If you do not have plans to release these figures here you should definitely reconsider as these figures are very popular among Australian collectors both young and old. It is not fair that the rest of the world get these in their local outlets and Australians’ have to buy them from the U.S. Especially considering the low Australian dollar and the exorbitant shipping costs sometimes making each figure cost between $30-$40 each.

    Thank you for your time.

    Matt Felice

    The reply...

    Hello Matt,

Thank you for your email, the DCU Coll 6"Fig Asst should be availble February/March and the DCU Infin Heroes Sngl Asst will be available in Feb/March at Toyworld and Big W.

    Regards

So if this is correct in about 3 weeks we should start seeing these in Big W and Toyworlds around Australia...finally...

Well, at least with the red bleed on Flash, it looks like he's running!

I got Adam Strange and Starfire, finally.

Starfire has a few problems, but it's not a terrible figure. Tho, it is obvious that the tooling costs for this pack were largely given to Adam Strange.

Just read a few reports stating that Targets are upping the price on these guys from $10.99 to $11.49-$11.89......

Guess we'll see how long it is before TRU & Meijer follow suit.
    This space for rent, apparently.....

Anyone getting Big Barda? I'm wondering which one would be better? With helmet or the variant without the helmet?

With helmet, that's what i'd call her standard look.

    Without is like unmasked Batman/Spider-Man.

I just want the helmeted version of Barda. The hair with the chain headband...to me, it looks odd to put it on the armored version of her. It belongs on the bikini costume version of Big Barda.

Now the bikini Barda might be nice. She could come with Mr. Sleeze and we can reanact the story line where Mr. Sleeze mind controls Barda to do porn. It was a real comic book story in Action Comics. I swear.

I have actually seen the helmetless Barda. For a figure I have no interest in at all, she impressed me. If anyone is interested and next time I go to my local toy show I can pick her up. Keep in mind tho' the dealers sell her for $30!

Is anyone able to pick up a wave 2 Aquaman (normal short hair variant) with a decent paint job? I couldn't find one at NYCC, so now I'm desperate.

I picked one up at NYCC for $25. It was really hard to find. All of the dealers had the long hair version.

I got lucky and found a regular Aquaman last year at Walmart. Since then, I've seen wave 2 a few times at Kmart. Just last month recently, but I only saw the long haired version.

He might come back in a Hall of Fame set like Batman and Green Lantern.

I'm pretty sure he is coming back as a hall of fame character. I needed to track down the wave 2 release because my Grodd was still missing an arm. I don't think the hall of fame figures come with their original C&C part, only a stand.

You might be in luck. I have an extra arm since I bought both Aquamans.
