    Just Uploaded Some He-Man Commercials!

Hey all. I was going through some old tapes I've had from way back, and I found 2 pretty neat He-Man commercials on them! They're pretty good quality too!! One of them is for the toy Monstroid, and I don't ever recall seeing it online before. The other is a promo for the series aired in Sacramento California on Channel 40. I hope you enjoy them!!

    Boy, that takes me back.

Was that Peter "Optimus Prime" Cullen narrating? It sure sounded like him.

    Chris here...

Those are great - I'd never seen the Monstroid commercial before, and to see it in such great quality is a bonus! Like the others, I love the toy commercials, they make me feel like a kid again!

    Take care...

Like He-Fan, I'd never seen a Monstroid commercial before. I think by the time it came out, they were less promoting the new toys here in the U.K.

Talking of the U.K., I seem to remember that some of the old U.K. versions of the advertisements were voiced by Tom "the fourth Doctor Who" Baker, or at least, someone who sounded very much like him.
I think I have a couple of examples on some ancient video tapes; I'll try and dig them out and upload them sometime (along with starting to scan some old UK comics which I wanted to do over Christmas but never got around to doing!)

I think it's hilarious that they have the one kid repeatedly stabbing the Monstroid with He-Man's sword and then he says (what sounds like) "Die!"

Anyone have links to the TV spots they did teasing the Horde figures before they were released? I remember the original 5 Horde figures shrouded in shadow, and you could hardly make them out. Man, was I a mark for that kind of mystery and anticipation!

I actually have quite a few commericals. I have promo's for the cartoon and also for the figures and greyskull. Aome are so old that they are very hard to see. But they are gems none the less.
