motU redesign challenge #72 Felinor

Felinor from Fuerza-T -line beated Flipshot with narrow margin. Now your task is made Felinor look cool and redesign him for the new line. No need to stick toy design, just post here your version of Felinor.

Deadline is 12. February. This time no poll for next cahllenge, because I picked favorite of my daughter to challenge #73.

And remember, I will quit organising challenges in point of #75. I will list all previous challenges in next challenge thread, if someone will continue this tradition.

I like that variant more than standard one. That wingsword is brilliant.

My Felinor is evil qadian, who serves Skeletor. He wants throw king Carnivus out of the throne and marry Kittrina, who was his lover in their teenage age.

does anyone else think the action figure in the ref pic looks like a humanoid garfield? That's a great paint job HH but he still looks a bit too amphibious IMO. Who is the ape guy in the background, he looks pretty cool. Repaint of beastman?

First of all, these designs are great. I hope we get more artists to work on Felinor. Gbagok, Baena,bootleg, slo, smb, osgood & others where are you? Felinor seriously needs to get a better redesign.

Hordaks Henchman ; Amazing customs.

Moni: tHis is probably one of your best redesigns to date. Love the one sided metal claw. a very cool looking Felinor.

D/L : Winged siamese's design looks better & better every time you see it. You can actuslly feel how evil Felinor & Purma Frost are. Plus t has a great backstory.

Here's my take on Felinor. I didn't want to give him that very powerful look, but I wanted to make him look a bit creepy. So heres his backstory.

Felinor once ruled the Evergreen forest as the king of the Quadians. However he forced his people to fight against the forces of good, even if they didn't want. Those who resisted were sacrificed in the name of their God Beast Grimalkin from which he drew his dark power. Years past & his people finally decided to overthrow the king. Aiding KIng Carnivus, the Quadians banished Felinor to the dark Hemisphere. Being abandoned in the barren Wasteland, the tyrant reached the one place he felt he would be welcomed....The Fright Zone.

After approaching Hordak, he was promised Great Power. With his dark arts, Felinor can creat a smog of darkness arrounded his opponents, through which only he has visibilty.

I like this figure for some reason. I really dont know why. He stands out and all the redesigns are awesome. I really dig all the art work.

Has it been mentioned who will be next in line for a redesign? :o

I notice that a new organiser i needed, well if I had internet at home I'd probably take the job for a while, maybe I'll do it anyway, since you only really need internet one or two times a week, but then there might be more of a change in how these challenges are made...

More of my own taste than the general populace might control the dice when it comes to wich character to get featured... hmm... What do you guys think about that? You ready for a "tyrrant" substitute?

it's pantano, another fuerza-t bad gyu. i wanted my felinor as a fish-gyu.

I like Hordak's Henchmen's Felinor! I always have, and I know it looks less cat-like than some of the others, but it's truer to the Fuerza-T theme of being only repaints / re-casts in new colors of existing MotU parts...

seriously though, thank you 2-Bad, it's an honor that you would list me amongst those artists! here is my entry:

This one came together pretty quickly--for whatever reason, I was able to quickly pick colors that I was satisfied with, which I usually find difficult and time-consuming. The key for me was adding more cold colors to accompany the white face and turquoise brow of the original color scheme. His chest and shoulder armor were modified to resemble the Aracnos symbol, and the studded arm bracers are taken from the official illustration of Felinor. I added the nose, the tail, the scaley feet and hands, and the cat's eye motif (but i think everyone else beat me to the cat's eye thing!). The cape is my addition too--inspired by the hood-like collar in the original illustration. Despite the wisdom of the Incredibles, I just think everyone is cooler with a cape. And as a nod to Felinor's allegiance to the Aracnos, his cape has eight points, just as a spider has eight legs.

Since very little is known about him, I wrote a little background material for this crazy cat (get it? cause he's a cat)...

FELINOR is fiercely loyal to Carnivor, ruthless leader of the Aracnos faction. His golden sword was created by a master sword-maker, in a mortal attempt to mimic the divinely forged perfection of He-Man's power sword. The sword-maker's intentions were not sinister, but Felinor cast a spell to corrupt the blade, and the cursed sword now shares Felinor's hunger for blood. To further bolster his strength, Felinor encrusted his power sword's hilt with an enchanted gem. This gem is another counterfeit--copied from an artifact from the nearby planet Thundera (the gem on his breastplate is simply decorative). In spite of all this, Felinor's power sword still does not match that of He-Man or She-Ra's true power swords. It is rumored that the mysterious sword-maker escaped and disappeared, and was even able to forge more power-sword imitations. the existence of these swords has not been confirmed.

Most recently, Carnivor has discovered the existence of planet Earth, and has sent Felinor and a subterranean attack force to perform reconnaissance and prepare the planet for invasion.

I coined Felinor's title of "Evil Nocturnal Champion" myself, but in light of the profile I just whipped up, I wonder if "Evil Copy Cat" would have been more appropriate?

When Rook started this thread long time ago, first 10 or so where all his choices. I beleive many of artist will join and tyrannism will give uss suprises. There have been only 3 challenges with less than 2 entries (Gore-Illa, Screech and Artilla/Weaponstronic).

No one has yet asked to take my place, so you can take it with pleasure, Predabot. I will still hold at least 2 next challenges and maybe #75 too. #73 will be my daughters favorite, #74 my personal favorite and #75 will be poll with 7 really new and different names.

And for Bootleg: that face is brilliant! And for SlyVenom; it qualifies really well.

WOW bootleg. That is AWesome. very cool pose too. But the thing that i love the most is his fave. How well you have merged both the feline & aquatic look together. Just Fantastic!!
