I spent a couple hours this morning re-watching Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor Vol. 3: The Lost Number Commandos. This is the new 2005 adaptation of the classic manga series, which adapts the story more completely than the original OVA series from the late '80s did.

After watching 4 episodes worth of Guyver action, I've got the show's awesome theme song stuck in my head:
    "Waiting For..." Performed By Reiri

    Nani wo motome
    (What is it you seek?)
    Naze sasurai
    (Why do you wander?)
    Naze umarete
    (Why were you born?)
    Naze ikiru no darou
    (And why do you live?)

    Uketsuida mishiranu chikara de
(Believe that it is to protect something)
Nanika wo mamoru koto to shinjite
(With the strange powers that you have inherited)

    Yami no naka de
    (In the darkness)
    Nakush¡ta mono wo sagash¡te
(I search for something I have lost)
    Toki no naka de
    (In the flow of time)
    Yagate kuru hikari wo matsu
(I await the light that will soon come)

    Itsuka mata aeru koto wo
(I dream that we might one day)
    Yume miteru
    (Meet again)
I can't wait for Vol. 4 to hit stores! It's due out in May... Gotta find out what day. ^_^
    On June 17th, 2011...
    No evil shall escape
    his sight!

I heard this song while I was at the mall with the family. Had to figure out who did the cover...

But I'm still digging this song from my very post when I started this thread...just hasn't grown old to me:

I think I'm gonna have to go with that now... :

I was asked to record 'Lazy Town' for my nephew over the last couple of weeks and the theme tune is driving me bananas. I HATE it, but can't stop singing it
What next? It seems every month lately there is something..

Oh, better far to live and die
Under the brave black flag I fly,
    Than play a sanctimonious part,
With a pirate head and a pirate heart.
Away to the cheating world go you,
    Where pirates all are well-to-do;
But I’ll be true to the song I sing,
And live and die a Pirate King.

For I am a Pirate King!
And it is, it is a glorious thing
    To be a Pirate King!

For I am a Pirate King!

When I sally forth to seek my prey
I help myself in a royal way.
I sink a few more ships, it’s true,
    Than a well-bred monarch ought to do;
But many a king on a first-class throne,
If he wants to call his crown his own,
Must manage somehow to get through
More dirty work than ever I do,

For I am a Pirate King!
And it is, it is a glorious thing
    To be a Pirate King!

For I am a Pirate King!
Sing once again with me our strange duet.
My power over you grows stronger yet.
And though you turn from me,
    to glance behind,
the Phantom of the Opera is there - inside your mind ...

And without fail.. this always gets stuck in my head.. Someone always has it playing on their radio when I'm waiting at the bus stop... Keep in mind this is very trendy and not my thing.. But this is the first song of his I actually go out of my way to listen to :P

And I also really like Lips of An Angel, Stoned and Better then me by Hinder .. That Extreme Behaviour cd of theirs is great.

ALso like Snow Patrol- Chasing Cars... those are primarily what I get "stuck" right there... of course I was singing the Dora the Explorer theme song the other day... :S

Heard this on the "oldies" station...which is quite sad because I still remember when this video was on MTV or VH1 (one of the 2).

I used to have the biggest crush on Chyna Phillips...especially when she grew her hair out.

Here is another great WP song:

So, who else is a Wilson Phillips fan? I know I am not the only one in the forum...

God Gave Rock n' Roll To Youby Kiss.

God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul of everyone
Do you know what you want? You don’t know for sure
You don’t feel right, you can’t find a cure
And you’re gettin’ less than what you’re lookin’ for

You don’t have money or a fancy car
And you’re tired of wishin’ on a falling star
You gotta put your faith in a loud guitar

    Chorus:
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Gave rock and roll to everyone (oh yeah)
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Put it in the soul of everyone

    “Now listen”
If you wanna be a singer, or play guitar
Man, you gotta sweat or you won’t get far
Cause it’s never too late to work nine-to-five

You can take a stand, or you can compromise
You can work real hard or just fantasize
But you don’t start livin’ till you realize - “I gotta tell ya!”

God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
Gave rock and roll to everyone
God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you
    Put it in the soul

    (Instrumental break)

God gave rock and roll to you (to everyone he gave the song to be sung)
Gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to everyone

God gave rock and roll to you (to everyone he gave the song to be sung)
Gave rock and roll to you, saved rock and roll for everyone
    Saved rock and roll

    chorus repeats out…

“I know life sometimes can get tough! And I know life sometimes can be a drag!
But people, we have been given a gift, we have been given a road
And that road’s name is… Rock and Roll!”
Yesterday returneth not. Tomorrow perhaps cometh not. Today is thine. Misuse it not.
