Wow! I have to say I really dig Bootleg's idea, especially turning him into a humanoid figure, along the lines of 30-30 from Bravestar. I'd totally get a figure like that. I wonder if a 30-30 figure could be customized for MOTU.

I voted Dr. Omega. He really did some great work on those clunky-looking legs!

I also like the addition of the HUGE cannon!

Like the style and the weapon hatch, toy it would have rocket!
    Got my vote!

    Dr Bo
Didn't had the time to finish it, well, too bad. At least it give a good idea!

    bootleg
Like the idea of a humanoid Stridor. The cavalery lance is much fitting witht the big fist. Sweet!

    Dr Omega
Like the more rounded-up legs, handkle and new weaponery. Again, in toy form it would have worked perfectly.

Doc Omega got me vote. It seemed the most fresh yet very true to the original.

As always this was a hard vote but in the end it went to Bootleg, the colors and idea are the most unique for a redesign and perfectly executed.

Dr. Omega's design of Stridor is the best because it doesn't move away a lot from it's classic version ,and at the same time it redesign it to fit with the New MOTU characters looks .

Once again, this challenge brings out the best designs.

Monikasovo: Love what you done with the design. The unicorn look is pretty intriguing.

Dr Bo: Thats a fantastic pic.

Bootleg: I'm going to give you a 10/10 for the Unique concept, buddy, Who ever saw that coming.

Dr Omega: I had to go with this design. It's Perfect! Not too bulky like the clasic toy & I feel it would fit in easily with the 200x line. Great work.

I really didn't know whether to go for Bootleg or Doc Omega.
Omega's is a fantastic version, very inkeeping with the 200X line - it looks like he's basically done to Stridor what 4H did to Battle Cat and Panthor; streamlined him up and boosted the weapons (that is some really cool firepower). It's probably pretty much what I would have turned out had I entered.
But for the massive conceptual leap, I had to give it to Bootleg. The Thirty-Thirty look really suits Stridor.

thanks for the kind words and votes! i'm glad folks enjoyed this one--i was afraid the somewhat drastic bravestar-esque change would turn people off.

my vote went to Dr. Omega--it's a great re-design and the pose feels very natural with a hint of impending action, all the while doing an excellent job of accurately capturing a horse's anatomy (in cybernetic form of course).

Thanks to all who voted for me! Man! That was the closest vote I have seen in a long time. Rightly so, Bootleg's 30/30 Stridor looks great!! It's a great concept, and your line work and colors are incredible. Truthfully, I hate drawing tech..

I think Dr. Bo and I were thinking along the same lines, making Stridor more horsey and less boxy. And Moni, I love Stridor's storage area and I really like the footings on the side.

I tellya, I never want to draw another horse again!! They are messed up creatures!! I tried over and over. I must have had 30 failed attempts before I decided this was acceptable.. And I am still seeing things I don't like and want to tweak.. I got the idea (and the head gear) from a Planet of the Apes horse figure I got for making a custom. His head and neck armor are perfect. Here's a pic:

I only found this thread too late to vote, but I would have gone with Dr. Omega's excellent vision.
He really caught the look of the original, but gave it a unique spin, one that would have really been at home in the original line. Very nice work.
