    NA Bootlegs!

    I just saw these in an ebay auction--never knew they made bootlegs of NA.

    I bought some on e-bay years ago. They had cover art on the discs and looked very professional from the photos. I thought they were an official issue. When I got them I shoved them in my player and watched. I was sad to see they were grainy dubs. But nothing can describe how I felt at seeing my son's disappointment at not being able to see the episodes his Dad wrote.

    i have both sets though i didnt get 2 sets of weapons they also were sold solo with weps so i guess thats how these came. the he-man is actually pretty good he has a ponytail and everything. the funny part is the captain planet villain who comes with skeletor. i guess he's another mutant for the ranks. i lent pix of mine to the guy who runs the new adventures page.

    Just out of curiosity (if a mod or someone in the "know" could explain this, that would be great), how come it is fine to talk about bootleg figures on the website with no threads getting locked or censored specifically because of it, yet the talking of bootleg DVDs of the various TV series is a no-no?

    Bootleg figures are not in the same category, there is not action figure mpaa/riaa law enforcement and they do not directly effect the income of the regular toy manufacturers or license holders. I highly doubt we would allow links and sales information about bootleg toys (thus promoting them).

    Bootleg DVD's is completely different, can violate many laws, promote piracy and are just a whole big mess when it comes to rights/license holders because people honesty believe they are buying the real thing when they spend their money. It brings unwanted attention and any discussion or allowance of bootleg dvd links, etc could be viewed as promoting them.
