Like I said previously, aren't we past the point of suggesting bodybuilders or wrestlers for these roles?

Once upon a time, I would've been with you on this. To have a very muscular She-Ra. One of my earliest additions to the fan art forum reflected this.

But as I've gotten more into She-Ra and her character... I don't see her as being that muscle bound. Powerful and fit? YES. Massive male-ish muscles like Mrs. Pheonix here? Meh... No thanks.

The suggestion of this wrestler completely missed who the character She-Ra is and looks like. She-Ra does not have the body of a bodybuilder at all. Her strength comes from the honor of Grayskull, not from the 'roids.

    There's no steriods in wrestling.
I love it when a plan comes together.

I really like some of choices in there, Andy Serkis would be perfect for Merman...or maybe even Skeletor.

I was watching the "Jason and the Argonauts" Miniseries marathon on Sci-Fi today, and was reminded of Jolene Blalock. She would make a great Evil-Lyn. Her olive skin could be considered as a more realistic version of the original figure's yellow.

Akso on the program was Brian Thompson, who could really play almost any character, but I especially see him as Tri-Klops or Trap-Jaw, with Tyler Mane as Beastman.

Very good choice, im thinking though with the amount of characers that would be used, would the actors have to sign a clause that they would be eligible for a 2nd or 3rd movie, how does that work these days

I like the idea of Gerrard Butler as Stratos, Adam Brody as Adam and Liam Neeson as Randor (never thought of that)

    He-Man: ???
    Teela: Scartlet Johansson
    Man-At-Arms: ???
    Beastman: Ron Pearlman
    Skeletor: John Glover
    Evil-Lyn: Rebecca Romijn
    Ram Man: Vinne Jones
    Tri-Klops: Dominic West
    Trap-Jaw: Thomas Hayden Church
    Sorceress: Cate Blanchett

I'd also like to see Robert Carlyle in there somewhere, and Shawn Ashmore, but I can' think of where.

Thats a pretty good cast there.

I actually thought Ron Perlman for Whiplash but yip he'd be fine as Beast Man.

I'd say Billy Zane for Skeletor & Famke Jansen as Evil Lyn.

That chick who is in the evil lyn pic is very pretty. Iin what movie is that pic taken of. I mean the costume looks nifty.

The choices are cool ones. Not too fond of the Teela though. Looks to old for me. I agree 100% about the Sorceress

these are pretty damn good! not sure about the he-man though he's going to be the hardest to cast, no matter WHO they get there will be several voices of dissent and groaning that will hopefully be alleived when the movie is shown. see I stil don't see Christian Bale as a proper Bruce Wayne, I mean he's fine in the role but to me he doesn't LOOK the part (I love Batman Begins though and his performance is good) it doesn't take me out of the movie but it's a bit of a sigh factor (minor but nothing important) so if they can get a he-man that won't take me out of the movie, someone I can get behind as the main man due to presence and performance then i'll be happy.

I'm really loving the Monica Belluci as lyn and even the teela choice and sorceress is good too. actually it's only He-man and Adam that I'm not sure about in terms of looks

I don't see He-Man's simplicity as a bad thing at all, because I don't feel that all characters need depth. Sometimes you can just have someone be good and heroic for the sake of being good and heroic.

    .
To me that was the problem with MYP he-man had no depth so you didn't connect with him, neither did the kids, if the main hero isn't likable and you can't connect with him, you'll fail. as was said not ALL characters need depth and such, but He-man DOES. he's the star and to have the property taken seriously you can't have a big dumb empty headed lead. you need to see why he's the hero of the story.
