That's what I was thinkin'. I figured it would be great for Skeletor to have that trademark evil laugh like in the animated series, and we know Mark Hamill has a lot of practice doing evil laughs being the voice of the Joker all those years on Batman - The Animated Series. Though when I saw that picture I posted of him he kinda has a creepy look and maybe could pull of Skeletor in both voice and body!

Sorbo's done sword & sorcery and sci-fi before, so this would be right up his alley. But it gets better. I think Adam feels inadequate towards his dad, especially before he becomes He-Man (I expect the movie will be an origin story, cuz movies are like that). So having a real larger-than-life man's man like Sorbo play the king would really help get that across.

    QUEEN MARLENA: Connie Nielsen
    http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/7...eenmarlena.jpg
I’ve been saying this one for years. She’s still perfect.

ZODAK: Cliff Curtis (Sunshine, Die Hard 4)
    http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/753/castzodak.jpg

    SKELETOR/KELDOR: Michael Sheen (Underworld, Frost/Nixon)
    http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/5653/castskeletor.jpg
Sheen is just an amazing actor. He has both the acting chops and a great physical presence, plus a cool voice that would be essential in playing a baddie who basically has no freaking face. On top of that, it sure would be trippy if the two leads in ‘Frost/Nixon’ both ended up playing Skeletor.

EVIL LYN: Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Sherlock Holmes 2)
    http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/597/castevillyn.jpg
Originally I considered Eva Green (who would be excellent), but it felt like type casting (she’s already doing the conniving witch racket on “Camelot”), so I picked my alternate. Rapace is just the nicest lady in interviews (the best villain actors always are), but the Millennium movies showed she can go to some pretty dark places.

BEAST MAN: Kevin Grevioux (Underworld 1 & 3)
    http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/7...stbeastman.jpg
It’d be a nice ‘Underworld’ reunion with Sheen. He could work on the script too.

    TRI-KLOPS: Scott Adkins (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Undisputed 2 & 3)
    http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/2...sttriklops.jpg

TRAPJAW: Kevin Durand (“Lost”, I Am Number Four)
    http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/4147/casttrapjaw.png

    And as a bonus:
    Dolph Lundgren as KING GRAYSKULL
    http://img857.imageshack.us/img857/3...ggrayskull.jpg
I mean come on, why would you bother with anyone else?
Personally, I think he should have a beard too, to differentiate him from He-Man and give him that extra kingly oopmh.
    1. Yes to all.
    2. Even more yes to Dolph being grayskull.
    3. If dolph WERE to be Grayskull you have to make Frank Langella Hordak.

Hell yeah. Even if the '87 movie never happened, I'd still say Dolph for Grayskull and no one else.

Priscilla Barnes for Sorceress? You realise she doesn't look like that anymore?

How about Amanda Righetti for Teela?

She's quite Amazonian in stature and can also be quite girly. She looks great as both a red head and a blonde.

He'd be ok. He's a little on the slim side though, I kinda see He-man being a bit broader especially in the shoulders. He'd make a good prince adam though.

    Tired of waiting for Hollywood.

Casting this movie would be an epic journey.

You would need to talk to alot of people to see how they feel about being in the movie in order to put them in the right character.

    The way I see it:

Transformers is about science and engineering.
..Real people need to be in this.

Robotech is about love and war.
..Musical artists would fit most characters.

Masters of the Universe is about ethics and stability.
..Capable actors like theatre performers would do well.

Arnold Schwarzenegger for King Randor,, correct me if I am wrong?

So far he isn't a bad choice. Cody, who stands at 6'3" Which is good! And he is already built. but could get bigger for the part. He also has some acting experience. So that's a plus.

But I get the feeling that we will never see a MOTU movie in any form. Unless Toyguru decides to make the script himself!
Physically Cody Deal would be an good choice. He has the looks, build and muscles. The addition of some shoes with lift, CGI and camera angles could make him look 6'6'' (which I believe some would agree is close to He-Man's height), but after seeing him in that terrible Thor movie... I'm not sure if he could cut is as an actor.

    Tired of waiting for Hollywood.

This movie would really need a casting search.
You could put famous people in all the rolls and still not get it right.

Also the characters that I think should be more famous, would be in need of dramatic face and body sculpting, prostectic work.

(beastmen, mermen, birdmen, pigmen, lobstermen, peek-a-blue, skeletor, hordak, trapjaw, ramman)

or it would be voices, (battlecat, swiftwind, granamear, orko)

I know there would have to be some major known stars, but I really wish they got unknowns for alot of the roles, it gets old seeign the same people as the same people in everything.

I think older stars can be used for certain supporting roles and bring credibility. You can't have all no names.

A new guy for He-man would be smart, but I don't want some 20 year old guy. Needs to be at least 30. For many of the rest it's about how well they play in make-up since having the right villains is key. Some actors aren't well known but they are amazing when in make-up (like Ron Pearlman or Doug Jones, who could be Beast Man and Mer-Man)

Too bad Chris Hemsworth is already Thor because he has a perfect look and charisma, which Dolph was lacking.

I love Michael Fassbender and I think playing Skeletor would be a great chance for him to ham it up like Langella! His roles have been sort of subtle but he'd kill in the role! Hugo Weaving would have been perfect if not for him already being Red Skull.

If not Fassbender I honestly think Michael Keaton could do an awesome job as Skeletor and could revel in the opportunity to be in a big production again.

I can see Bruce Willis being Man-at-Arms or maybe Liam Neeson.

Teela could be an unknown (she should definitely be hotter than the chick in '87 though).

..I think I see Bruce Willis as Spike, in Transformers..

..(trying not to cross thread, or what ever that is)

Its scary that those great giants, that are credible/famous actors are getting older every day.

Schwarzenegger is so right for Randor but even Randor doesnt need grey hair.

Oh, I think Dolph could be a great King Grayskull.

King Grayskull doesn't need the charisma that an actor who plays He-Man will require. The movie just needs a LOTR style introduction to set up Eternia, Grayskull and the power sword. Maybe King Grayskull vs Hordak is the "Great War"?

I'd like the movie to mesh the original mini-comics with the 2 animated shows stories.

I'd like some real actors in supporting roles. Much like Thor.

    Emma Thompson for Sorceress maybe?
