The bigger question is would he say the same of Humans from Earth, Skeletor's race et cetera.
Granamyr was portrayed that way in that episode because living like a hermit for thousands of years and then someone uninvited knocks your door will sure make anyone grizzly. He-man is a very known party crasher.
