See-Shell rocks. One of the best fan-created characters I've seen in a long time, IMO.As usual, BBM's done an outstanding job bringing him into the 200x style!
Love the name, btw. It's PERFECT.
Hey everyone should also be sure to check out: See-Shell by COTU (Customs of the Universe) for more images of See-Shell as a classic-style figure...

Evil Simian Mechanic of the Horde!
Hey HordeMonkey thanks for the kind words, yeah I love the character, too, and I'm especially appreciative to Matt (Skeletoncrew) of CotU for making me realize how much cooler he'd be as a Heroic Master than an Evil Warrior (since the villains already have Mer-Man and Clawful in their oceanic ranks). BBM really did hit it out of the park with his design for him as well, giving him the more scallop-like shell, the eyespots on his chest, the sea-weed loincloth, and creating the sharks-tooth mace for him.
P.S. If anyone wants to take a crack at some See-Shell art, I'd love to see it!

I still LOVE this figure! Great job and great new artwork to go along with him. I wish I had one to put in my aquarium!

Yes, he is pitch black, his shell can absorb light, and so he can almost literally become a shadow with substance. When he isn't flexing his power to it's full extent, you can see he is huge, bigger than Clawful, with two large claws, and since he is of a deep-sea Clawdian race he wears a pressurized breather while on land (in classic figure form this would be a Mekaneck armor). He is very slow, but strong, a brilliant tactician, and being almost invisible makes up for his lack of speed.

Yeah, those are cool! I'll have to post a full-pic of my tank soon, it has a similar theme, but it's even a little more "glassy"although I do have some colored gravel underneath...

Glass Shrimp: great concept! i'm really loving the crustacean revolution going on here.
Buffalo-Bill-Man: what can i say, another great character design! you've really been on a roll lately, and we're all lucky to get to see your new stuff on a regular basis. keep it up!
can't wait to see lobscure!![]()

Hey Jason, thanks for the kind words. If there is one thing I like most about him is the (mostly) untapped action feature... at least in MotU termsand yeah, BBM knocked another one out of the park (as usual)!!!!

no problem buddy! is BBM going to take on crabite too? i hope so!![]()

Hmmm..... not a bad idea... there is a COTU / classic figure version of Crabite and Lobscure in the works, but I haven't thought of commissioning art on them yet...
Hey, everyone... don't forget to vote for See-Shell in Royalt's contest!!!

He's really growing on me. At first I liked him, and now I'm far more interested in seeing what See-Shell is up to. I'm digging the name change, it totally goes with the gimmick of him becoming invisible. Also not too many MOTU characters become invisible (none that I can think of), so way to capitolize on an awesome power that was never really used.
I had invented a 'glass shrimp' type character which I was going to work on, but I abandoned the idea. Instead of having him like Clawful, a big brute, he'd be a cousin of sorts, slim with an elongated body. Like the pistol shrimp he's based on, would have small powerful pinchers that would deliver 'shockwave' bubble bursts. You may have inspired me enough to continue with him.

Hey, I like the name!!
Check me out: www.patrickireland.net
Hahaha... Yeah, I thought it was pretty clever when Matt (Skeletoncrew), Rob (Galaxy Warrior) and I brainstormed it up. It a triple sort of pun, It references a "seashell", something you'd find in the water or on the beach, like you would find a crab or crustacean, and mixes in the word "see", which refers to his power of being "see-through" or invisible, and also mixes in the fact he has a "shell", or carapace of his own. So he's a "See-" through "Shell" bearing warrior. See-Shell.
