    Introducing - Tom-A-Hawk

Here is a new character that I am working on after deciding it was weird that MOTU has Cowboys but no Indians.

At the moment he is not colored and he doesn't even have a bio, heck all I know about him is his name and the fact he is a good guy.

    Still here he is

He was inspired by two things

    1. The word "Tomahawk" which just sounded like a MOTU name to me

    and

    2. The Four Horsemen's "Gothtropolis" figures, specifically those awesome looking bird warriors / characters

Nice. He reminds me of that hawk guy MasterEnglish cooked up at PowerCon. So is he the Tonto to Rio-Blast's Lone Ranger?

What hawk guy did MasterEnglish cook up?

I don't think Tom-A-Hawk would demean himself like that

    Nice work as always Wolfsfang.

    I like the bio.

I am a bit curious on the name. How did you go about spelling? What was your approach to it?

Quite simple really. I looked up a bunch of Native American names (specifically the ones from Assassins Creed 3 ) and just tried to come up with a name that somewhat followed their structure and which could be shortened (with a bit of work) to his more common name.

Oh and if anyone is curious his name is pronounced "Tay Hom He Na Kay Hah Rah Hawk"

Oh i see i missed the coloring!

It looks good but itīs to …well brown for me. Itīs MOTU i seriously expected a more out of the box color(and i don't mean pink or something like that...)

But thatīs my own problem. I think your Tom-A-Hawk is an amazing character and you drew him perfectly!

I like the brown, but the red and blue isn't working for me (personally). I do tend to go more monochromatic anyway, so that could just be my own taste.

The overall design, however, is definitely working for me. I am a little on the fence in terms of adding another avian race to MotU, but the character's design is really nice and that's overcoming my resistance.

Well the brown is because Hawks are brown and I wanted this guy to be normal colored (of course other Hawkmen might be of a different color...like pink or green or something)

The red and blue is because bright colors like that are used in Native American patterns and he is based on Native Americans (just MOTU'd up a bit) so it just seemed fitting

I can see that, but the red-and-blue seems like a combo we've seen a lot on your characters (Wolfsfang, Rodantus), so to me it feels a little like a "default" despite how appropriate it might be for this character. IMO, a more turquoise blue would give more of the Native American feel you are going for.

(By the way, this is intended to be constructive, not nit-picky.)
