Lizard-Man / Saurod / Fang Man
It is a known fact that the heroic Lizard-Man and villainous bounty hunter Saurod grew up together in the sleepy Reptile Man village of Drachollow. However, what is not known is at one time they were the best of friends, totally inseparable. It was noted by many others that lived in Drachollow that you would never see Lizard-Man (or Lester as he was named then) without Saurod being somewhere close by...and vice versa.
It was due to circumstances that these two had become great friends. They, along with the other members of their respective families had traveled to Drachollow together having barely escaped the Dragonville Massacre. This would even go down in history as one of the most brutal attacks on a Reptile Man city by the Reptons. A savage and blood filled culmination of almost two thousand years of distrust and hatred towards each other. The end result of the brutal attack that lasted only one night was eight hundred Reptile Men (women and children as well) dead, almost the entire city razed to the ground.
Luckily Lester’s and Saurods’ families had managed to escape the city just as the attack was starting. It turned out that they had lived in the same street for years but had never bothered to get to know one another. But now they were to be traveling companions in a three week journey to escape the horrors being committed in their home city .
At this time Lester and Saurod were still very young, the equivalent human ages being eight and ten respectively. Lester was a quiet child; he never wanted to join Saurod in any games despite the fact that Saurod was probably the only friend he had. Still Saurod persevered and eventually managed to get Lester out of his shell.
By the time they had reached the small Reptile Man village of Drachollow the two children had become the best of friends. For a while life was good. Then one day while they were playing some of the larger children decided to have some “fun” with them. A couple of them held back Saurod as their leader set about beating Lester. This was when Lester and Saurod both displayed their abilities for the first time.
Using unnatural strength he did not know he had Saurod managed to break free of his captors and grabbed the lad attacking Lester by the back of the throat and threw him several feet through the air. Then he quickly turned round and caught a rock that had been thrown at him by one of the other bullies. The bully began to run and darted round a corner, but Saurod threw the rock in such a way that it bounced off a wooden beam and rebounded around the corner hitting the bully in the back.
The remaining bully lunged forward to grab Lester. He hoped to use him as a sort of hostage so that Saurod would not attack him. But in a display of agility even he did not know he had, Lester backflipped and landed upside down on the wall, stuck there like a spider. The bully stood and looked at Lester in shock for a few seconds before being knocked to his feet via a punch to the face courtesy of Saurod.
Saurod looked at the blood on his fist and smiled...he had enjoyed hitting those bullies immensely. It was not saving Lester that pleased him...no...it was the inflicting of pain.
Then about year later the villagers began to hear rumours of a rogue Repton that had been named simply Fang Man. All Reptile Men since birth had been told that Reptons could not be trusted, but there was something different about Fang Man, he was a force of pure evil that used his ability to control young, lesser minded dragons to attack cities. He did not care if they were home to Reptile Men, Caligars, Humans or even Reptons. His appetite for destruction seemingly knew no bounds.
It had been heard that Fang Man had been spotted near Drachollow and that is why “they” came. A trio of bounty hunters descended upon the once peaceful village. They claimed they were on official business, searching for the evil Fang Man. But, their actions were deplorable. They would constantly pick fights just for an excuse to beat up and maim innocent people. They asked questions and if they did not get an answer they liked...the person would have a nasty (but non fatal) accident.
Naturally the whole village demanded that the leave...all except Saurod who enjoyed watching them work. He felt a natural kinship with them and decided there and then that he would join them and become a Bounty Hunter.
So in the dead of night Saurod slipped out of his home and made for the outskirts of the village. Lester had feared that he would try something like this, knowing fine well what his friend was slowly becoming. He too slipped out of his home and cut Saurod off at the village exit. He pleaded to Saurod to remain in the village and not do something that he would later regret. Saurod told his once best friend to mind his own business and return home. After about twenty minutes of trying to convince Saurod not to go...Lester turned and walked away.
Eventually Saurod caught up with the bounty hunters. At first they were not pleased to see him. The fact that they threatened to kill him and send him home in multiple bags proved that. But for several weeks he kept showing up demanding that they took him on as an apprentice. So one of the bounty hunters proposed a test. Saurod and he would arm wrestle. The bounty hunter felt sure that they skinny little Lizard Man child would not be able to beat him in such a competition and that having a broken arm would teach him his place.
The bounty hunter became very shocked however when it was his arm that ended up broken and Saurod was the victor. But a deal was a deal...they took Saurod on as an apprentice. His skill with a melee weapon such as a sword or mace was never really impressive. He knew enough to hold his own in a short fight but if it went on to long he would almost certainly lose. But his great strength and unnatural aiming ability meant that he was a pure natural with ranged and throwing weapons (bows, knives, small axes etc). In a demonstration to show that he was ready to be a full fledged Bounty Hunter, Saurod actually threw a knife thirty feet through the air, the most amazing part being was that the two inch thick piece of wood that had been the designated target, was situated twenty feet from where he was standing. Not only had the knife reached the target dead centre, but it had smashed straight through it and traveled a further ten feet, ending up buried to the hilt in a tree.
Lester in the meanwhile had been perfecting his own abilities. He had discovered that not only could he adhere to practically any surface (even glass) but he could also squeeze his entire body through gaps that people one third his size had no hope of getting through. He still did not possess great strength but his natural agility meant that unlike Saurod, Lester showed real promise with a sword.
When he was the Lizard Man equivalent of a twenty years old human, he finally set out to do what he had planned since that night eight years ago when he had last seen his friend Saurod. Calling himself Lizard-Man, Lester went out in search of his once best friend. He desperately hoped that when he located his friend that he could convince Saurod to become a good guy like him. But, he also knew that if Saurod remained evil then he would have to be stopped no matter what it took.
Lizard-Man knew that such a task would not be an easy one to accomplish. So he headed for the city of Eternos where he hoped to join the one group of people that he felt would be able to help him in his quest...the Masters.

These are great, the lizard men one is especially cool. Three characters that I have in completely different places in my MOTU universe grouped together in a very convincing way.

We've seen one movie villain bio, now here comes another
Anton grew up in Eternian city of Eternos. His father and mother were members of the Eternian Royal Guard and Anton was expected to follow in their footsteps. From a young age, Anton showed a natural talent with swords and was considered by many to be a prodigy. However, Anton was a cocky and insubordinate youth and by the time he was 15 the leaders of the Eternian Guard had decided to not let him join their ranks. Disappointed with their son, Anton’s parents kicked him out of the house, telling him to never return.
Leaving his parent’s home, Anton left Eternos and journeyed south. Needing to make some money to support himself, Anton got involved with illegal knife fights. Although this is no longer common in Eternia, in the past there were a number of villages that held live blade competitions. In these competitions, the injuries incurred tended to be serious and frequently lethal. Competitors commonly used pseudonyms when fighting, so Anton chose the name Blade. Blade quickly rose to the top of the competition, making a reputation for himself as an excellent swordsman. He seldom showed any mercy, his bouts usually ending with his opponent’s death. His unparalleled success led his being given access to the finer things in life: beautiful women, good food, fine clothes, etc.
After Blade’s 27th bout, he was sitting in the backroom, drinking from a cask of wine while a beautiful lady scrubbed his opponent’s blood off of his legs. A blue skinned man, with long hair strode into the room. Blade, being displeased with the man’s unannounced entrance, told him to leave unless he wanted to become better acquainted with the end of Blade’s sword. The man wordlessly pulled out a sword of his own. Blade, wanting to teach this fool a lesson, pulled his sword out of its scabbard and lunged at the interloper. As Blade came towards the man, he subtly waved his hand, causing Blade to fly into a nearby table, falling to the ground and dropping his sword. Striding towards Blade, the man placed the tip of his sword against Blade’s sword. He then said, “I can’t beat you with a sword, but rest assured that you’re no threat to me.”
The man then introduced himself as Keldor, the future king of Eternia. Keldor told Blade that he had learned of Blade’s prowess with a sword and he wanted him as a soldier in his army. Keldor then promised Blade more riches and glory than he could ever hope for as a brawler. Blade accepted Keldor’s offer. Although Blade liked the money that was offered to him, unbeknownst to Keldor, Blade simply wanted to destroy the establishment that caused his family to cast him aside. Over the next few years, Blade proved that he was an excellent soldier, but best utilized as a solo agent, given individualized goals.
During the final battle of the Great War, he was part of a large force of Keldor’s troops who stormed the Royal Palace. Nearing the throne room, he was confronted by a contingent of Royal Guards, led by his parents. His parents warned him to not go any further, but Blade had had enough of their interference in his life. Blade sprung into action, fighting the contingent of Royal Guards. After this battle, Blade’s parents lay dead at his feet and Blade had lost an eye. Seeing that Keldor’s forces had lost, he retreated back to the Dark Hemisphere.
During the 19 years since the end of the Great War, Blade has spent his time perfecting his skills in the darkness of the Dark Hemisphere. Now that the barrier is gone, he intends to show Eternia who its greatest swordsmen really is.
A Wild Child is Born
Garret was born in the royal city of Eternos, both his parents were Palace Guards and it was assumed from a young age that he would follow suit and join the ranks. So from a very young age Garret's parents began his training. They taught him both court etiquette (in case he had to attend a formal gathering) as well as fighting skills.
Garret picked up the fighting skills easily but his natural wild (but still very kind) nature made it hard for him to learn manners. Still they all persevered and eventually Garret could at least pretend to be a nice polite young man.
Soon the day came when he would join the Palace Guard. His parents, having retired by then, were very proud when he was giving his badge and official uniform. He vowed to make them proud of him by not only doing a great job as a Guard but also by one day rising to the ranks of the newly formed Masters.
After a few years of loyal service to the royal family Garret was granted his first promotion. He would be one of a few guards selected to be Queen Marleena's royal bodyguard. This post was a position of benefits and power and a lot of guards would have killed (but not literally) for it.
So there was Garret, a royal bodyguard in service to the Queen. For months he did a great job of keeping the Queen safe, fending off many attacks by evil warriors, wannabe kidnappers and general bandints. A few time he even did this singlehandedly.
But then one day while he and a group of soldiers were escorting the Queen home over the Mystic Mountains when they were attacked by Skeletor's evil warriors. The evil warrios, led by Tri-Klops, proved to be too much for him. He fought as valiantly as he could but there was too many and their powers were too great for him and the few other bodyguards to overcome.
Garret just had time to see the arrival of the Masters when he was knocked over a cliff to his supposed demise by the Beast Man. But Garret survived the fall. He woke up to find that he had fallen in to an ancient temple. At the far end of the room was a huge gold statue wolf like creature with the word "LUPIUS" carved above it. Garret knew what this was from the stories he had been told as a child. He had always assumed them to be nothing more than a myth, but he could not deny that he was stood in the ancient Lupian temple dedicated to the Wold-God “LUPIUS”
The Return of an Ancient Hero
Garret was still dazed from the fall but there was still a part of his mind that found this discovery very exciting. As basically a wild child himself he had always enjoyed listening to stories about the kind...but feral Lupians, especially ones involving their greatest hero “Wolfsfang”
Then he felt it. It felt like a low humming in his ears. But, instead of making him uncomfortable. He seemed oddly drawn to it. It seemed to be coming from another room to the east. Slowly he made his way to the source of the noise.
The next room was not as large as the one he had fallen into. The only exit in and out was the one he had just used. In the center of the room was a pair of clawed gauntlets...the Wolf-Moon Gauntlets. Rumored to have been worn by an ancient and powerful hero. Feeling an unnatural and irresistible pull towards them, Garret slipped them on to his hands.
No quicker had he put them on, when a strange magical transformation took over him. He still kept his own mind but his body changed to resemble that of the ancient Lupian race. Also he began to hear a voice in his head as if there were now two minds in his body. The voice told him that it had once been a great warrior and that Garret had been chosen to become the latest incarnation of the ancient feral warrior "Wolfsfang"
Garret, or Wolfsfang as he was now known, walked back into the main altar room that he had fallen into. He looked up at the hole in the ceiling he had fallen through, crouched as low as he could and jumped. Landing on the cliffside he had fallen from he was just in time to see the evil warriors retreat and the Masters lead the Queen to victory.
Wolfsfang quickly introduced himself to the royal family and to the masters, making sure he told them who he truly was before he had been magically transformed. Because of his years of loyal service and his new powers he finally received the honour he had always wanted...he was to become a full fledged member of the Masters
The Powers of a Ferocious Feral Master
Wolfsfang quickly displayed a number of abilities. These included;enhanced strength which made him a hundred times greater than a human. Superb agility and reflexes. With this he could not only jump impossible heights as seen by escape from the Temple of Lupius, but also that he was fast enough to dodge a crossbow bolt from pointblank range. His final ability was enhanced healing. Not only did he have a tremendously high pain tolerance, but any wounds that he sustained that would normally take weeks (if not months) to fully heal, and even ones that would prove fatal to most people...he healed in a matter of hours (without any scarring). Lesser wounds such as small cuts and bruises would heal almost instantly.
Next up is another fan-made character, Dragos.
Hundreds of years ago, during their war with King Grayskull and his forces, the Horde was able to get a strong hold in the Plains of Perpitua. Hordak ordered his lieutenants to force the local tribes into slave labor, further strengthening his war machine. As Hordak’s forces traveled through the countryside, forcing some villages into slave labor and razing others, a small nomadic tribe named the Hurits chose to take refuge in the Mystic Mountains.
The leader of the tribe decided that the best way to escape the Horde would be to climb high up into the mountains. The Mystic Mountains were a focus for magic, which led to the growth of some of the most unique, and in some ways frightening, creatures on Eternia. No one knew what would be found near the peaks of the mountains, but it was safer to find out first hand than it was to face the Horde.
Near the peak of the mountains, the Hurits found a race of Eternian dragons. Over time they learnt how to tame the dragons and make them their friends.
When Hordak was vanquished, the Hurits had no way of knowing. They had assumed that the Horde would reign supreme over the rest of Eternia, so they chose to hide in the mountains where they felt safe.
Now the Hurits live very closely with the dragons. The dragons are not only their steeds and beasts of burden, but in many ways are seen as parts of the family. Not all Hurits are able to tame and control a dragon, thus those who are, are deemed very important in the Hurit society.
One Hurit boy was always fascinated with the tales he had heard of the outside world. His parents named him Dragos, because of the affinity he had with dragons even at a very young age. Curiously, when Dragos was only 7, he became very attached to a black dragon. Black dragons were known for their generally unpleasant demeanor. Black dragons were stronger than other dragons, and they had thicker scales than most. They didn’t seem to like humans, even though they tolerated them. However, the young black dragon that Dragos approached took a liking to him and they consequently spent much of their time together.
Dragos and his dragon, which he named Humos (Dragos thought naming his dragon after humans was funny since he was named after dragons) grew up together. Dragos spent many afternoons flying on Humos’ back.
When Dragos was about 12 he started to feel very unsettled and restless. He loved his home, but he felt that it was time to see the rest of the world. His parents warned him of the dangers of the world, telling him that the Horde would strike him down if he were to leave the safety of the Mystic Mountains. Dragos took their warnings seriously, but still wished to eventually leave. To this end, Dragos chose to train himself in the arts of war.
He got to know the village blacksmith, asking him to make a sword, but the blacksmith told Dragos that a sword without the skill to use it was more of bane then a boon. However, blacksmith saw Dragos’ sincerity and told the boy to meet him alone, later that evening.
Dragos was a little bit nervous going to meet the blacksmith, but he had always heard that the blacksmith was a good man. As Dragos got to the meeting place, he saw that the blacksmith was approaching him with another man that the boy recognized. This other man was named Erik, and most of the village thought that he was insane. Erik didn’t associate much with anyone and he spent most of his days alone. Erik wasn’t a bad person per se, but he was genuinely unpleasant, smelling bad and looking slovenly.
The blacksmith told Dragos that Erik was the last in a long line of warriors. Long before, when the Hurits came to the mystic mountains, they had a small group of warriors to protect them. Over the years, the warriors died out, but their teachings were passed on to each successive generation. Over the last couple of centuries, the village leaders felt that the need for warriors had passed, so the warriors took to training in secret, ensuring that they would be prepared if the Horde somehow found them. The blacksmith knew of Erik’s training because they had been friends since childhood. Erik, when learning of Dragos’ wishes, agreed to train him so that he would someday be able to leave the village and remain safe.
During the next few years, Dragos spent much of his time training with Erik. He learnt that Erik purposefully pushed people away, so that he could be left alone to study his art without interruption. Erik was a demanding taskmaster, expecting nothing less than perfection from Dragos. During this time, Dragos learnt much about unarmed combat, as well as mastering the sword, battle axe and spear.
When Dragos turned 18, Erik summoned Dragos to his home. When Dragos arrived, Erik told him that he had nothing more to teach him as he had learnt all that he could without having experienced true combat. He then gave Dragos a sword and shield that had been handed down for generations. Erik had no idea where the sword and shield originated from, but he knew that they were special.
With his sword and shield in hand, Dragos mounted Humos, bid his family farewell and left the mystic mountains to fight the Horde.
Personality and Appearance
Dragos is an adventurous person by nature. He is totally fearless and easily excited. Having grown up in such a remote area, he doesn’t know much about modern customs or manners, so at times he comes across as very crude.
Growing up in an area where he knew everyone well, he is now naturally fascinated by everyone and loves to get to know new people. He’ll frequently strike up conversations with complete strangers, simply because he is so happy to get to know someone new.
Upon first leaving his home, he was shocked to see that most Eternians had no recollection of the Horde. He couldn’t believe that King Grayskull won, and was even more amazed that no one seemed to remember who he was. Upon learning about the merits of the Royal Family, and the new threats that Skeletor posed, Dragos decided that instead of fighting the Horde, he would team with Eternia’s warriors and help win the war against Skeletor.
Dragos is about 6’2”, and weighs approximately 165 lbs. He has blonde, almost white hair. He tends to wear loose fitting robes as is the custom among his people and looks fairly reminiscent of the Jedi.
Weapons and Skills
Dragos is an excellent unarmed combatant, perhaps one of the best in Eternia. He is also an excellent swordsman and is well trained with a battle axe. His aim when throwing a spear is freakish in its accuracy, making some wonder if he’s even truly human. However, Dragos has the average strength of an Eternian his size and weight who exercises intensively.
No one is sure of where his sword and shield came from. They have some serpentine insignia on them, leading some to believe that they were perhaps forged during the time of the snakemen. What is known is that they are wondrously strong, nearly unbreakable by any weapon other than He-Man’s sword of power.
Dragos also has a great affinity for dragons, even ones he has never met before. He is naturally good at calming and taming them. However, he is closest to Humos, who never leaves his side. If Dragos is nearby, it is certain that so is Humos. Humos is very protective over Dragos and anyone who puts Dragos in danger has to answer to Humos.
Odiphus was always a bit of a stinker, even as a child. His parents became increasingly annoyed at his strange desire to play in things “left behind” by animals. This meant that he had very few friends growing up and he quickly became a very sullen boy who kept himself to himself.
As Odiphus grew up he started to get into trouble with the other the other Pelleezeans of his village. In the beginning this was due mainly to petty pilfering such as stealing a few apples from an orchard or a pie cooling on a window sill. But this quickly grew into full on acts of theft involving breaking into houses and threatening any witnesses to “remain quiet”
Eventually he was caught and locked up in what passed as a jail in his small village. He had been sentenced to remain there for several years, only coming out a few times a week to perform community service to pay for his numerous crimes.
That is when the Pelleezeans began to notice it. A strange unnatural smell started spread around the village, wilting flowers and causing the villagers and animals noses to burn and their eyes turn red due to an overflow of tears. To put it simply it was the worst smell immaginable. Then as quickly as it appeared...it vanished. The fresh air returned and life went back to normal.
Then one day one of the guards went to fetch Odiphus from his cell in order for him to do some more community service. No sooner had he opened the door then a thick noxious green cloud of indescribable stench blasted forth from Odiphus' body. The sheer power of the stench overcame the guard and the poor little guy fell into a state of unconsciousness.
Odiphus still had no idea how he was able to make such a powerful stench but he did not want to waste an opportunity to escape. So with the stench cloud still billowing forth from his body he ran out of the jail, the other guards all falling to his vile stink.
Knowing that he could never return home Odiphus decided that now would be a good time to follow his dream of joining the ranks of Skeletors Evil Warriors. So he quickly made his way to Snake Mountain where he begged for an audience with the skull-headed lord. Concentrating very hard he was able to stop the smell from flowing out of his body, as he did not want to offend the person he hoped would soon be his employer.
Skeletor was not exactly pleased to see Odiphus. He felt that a pint sized Pelleezean with no skills as a warrior was not really someone he wanted on his team. But in a surprising act of fair play he decided to give Odiphus a small test. If he could defeat Beast Man and Tri-Klops in battle, both at the same time, he would be allowed to join the ranks. If he failed....he would get a nice burial in the lava moat surrounding Snake Mountain.
This idea terrified Odiphus but he had come this far so he did not want to back out now.
An area in the throne room was quickly cleared and the three combatants entered a magically marked (thanks to Evil-Lyn) ring ready for the fight. No sooner had Skeletor signalled for the fight to begin then Beast Man and Tri-Klops rushed toward the small, terrified Odiphus. But just before either evil warrior was able to land a single hit a huge stinking (literally) cloud erupted from Odiphus. The stench was so bad that it not only knocked out Beast Man and Tri-Klops, but also every other evil warrior. The only ones that remained unaffected were Odiphus (who was immune to his own stench) and Skeletor (who does not actually have a nose).
Skeletor found Odiphus' method of winning a fight strange but effective...and also highly amusing. He agreed to let the young Pelleezean join his ranks, but first they would have to do something about his size. Skeletor cast a spell on Odiphus to make him bigger and stronger, although it did have the strange side effect of turning his fur black with white stripes.
Then, deciding Odiphus was not a good name for an evil warrior...Skeletor renamed him STINKOR in honour of his unique ability.
Born into a poor family, Barrett never had the luxuries and opportunities that many of the other Defenders of Eternia had. His parents couldn’t afford to send him to the better schools, so Barrett got a fairly sparse education. Furthermore, Barrett wasn’t very intelligent, so he never took the time to independently follow any academic pursuits.
From a young age Barrett wanted to be a member of the Eternian Royal Guard, but those doors were closed to him. Although he tried to join them a number of times, he was never able to pass the written tests required of future guardsman. Although disappointed with his failures, Barrett was never bitter about his lot in life and eventually found work as a fisherman.
When Barrett was 25, the Great War began. Although Barrett wasn’t part of the Royal Guard, he did what he could to help. During those difficult years, he provided fish to the Eternian Royal Guard, helping feed the troops, free of charge. On occasion he would also use his boat to help bring supplies to troops further away from Eternos, knowing that a lowly fishing vessel would be ignored by Keldor’s forces.
On one occasion, Barrett was able to help the troops more directly. He was fishing off the coast of a small village called Eterin and saw that the Eternian Royal Guard soldiers who were guarding the village were surrounded by enemy troops. Rowing to the shore, he looked around to find a way to help. He saw that there was an unused catapult, which was a few dozen yards from the evil forces. Remembering a little bit about the capabilities of catapults, information he had been required to learn when attempting to join the Royal Guard, he thought that if he were to release the catapult it would likely land on the enemy forces to the west of the Eternian troops. However, he also knew that he had failed the exams many times and had doubts about his ability to estimate such a thing. It occurred to him that if he was wrong about the catapult, he might actually end up mistakenly killing all the troops. Looking in the catapult, he saw that it was holding stones that had been coated in some sort of oil. Praying that his actions would work out for the best, he set the contents of the catapult on fire and pulled the lever. Miraculously, the burning stones rained down on Keldor’s forces, killing some and injuring many. The surprise of the attack allowed the Eternian forces to gain a hard fought victory. Following that event, Barrett was given the Medal of Eternos, the highest honor that could be given to a civilian. When having the medal placed around his neck by King Miro, Barrett simply said that he was doing his duty as an Eternian.
After the war ended, Barrett’s life returned back to normal. Thanks to his loyal service to the nobility, he was given a number of lucrative fishing contracts and for the next two decades lived a fairly comfortable life. When Skeletor returned to Eternos, starting a new war, Barrett once more vowed to do what he could to help Eternia win.
A few months into the war, Barrett was came across a battle raging on the outskirts of Eternos. Man-At-Arms and He-Man were fighting against a force of enemy troops led by Beastman and Whiplash. Grabbing a large, broken tree branch, he ran into the fray, swinging the branch like a club. Barrett quickly knocked out two troops, but then had the branch knocked out of his hands by Whiplash’s tail. Barrett punched Whiplash in the face but his knuckles were bloodied and hurt when hitting Whiplash’s scales. Totally unfazed by the punch, Whiplash swung his tail at Barrett, knocking him down. Barrett quickly scrambled to his feet and not knowing what else to do, ran head first into Whiplash, knocking himself unconscious.
When he awoke next, he was lying in a comfortable bed, with a beautiful woman and He-Man standing over him. The lady introduced herself as the Sorceress. Asking what happened, they told him that his running head-butt had knocked him unconscious and given him a concussion. He was then told that He-Man had pulled him to safety before Whiplash could kill him. Asking about the outcome of the battle, he was assured that the Eternians had won.
The Sorceress then placed a helmet on the bed next to him. She told him that he helmet was part of the armory of Castle Grayskull, an armory that collected some of the most powerful weapons from across the land and stored them to ensure that they would never fall into evil hands. Barrett was told that the helmet was mystically endowed, giving the user excellent head protection. Furthermore, not only did it protect the head, but it allowed the head to cause more damage when striking things. The Sorceress explained that whenever a person would wear the helmet and ram his head into something, the force of the blow would be magnified many times over. Giggling, the Sorceress admitted to Barrett that she had never really imagined that she would come across a man who would be inclined to do such things, but upon hearing of Barrett’s exploits she knew she had found the man who would be destined to wear the helmet into battle. From this day forward, Barrett would defend Eternia at the side of He-Man and its other heroes.
Barrett walked out of the castle with He-Man, a big goofy grin on his face. He-Man told Barrett that it was customary for the more colorful Eternian Defenders to take a special name and asked Barrett what name he would like to have. Thinking for a moment, Barrett then told He-Man that based on the Sorceress’ description of the helmet, he thought that a good name would be Ram Man. Naturally, He-Man thought that the name sounded absurd, but then remembering his own name, he decided not to laugh... at least until he was alone.
Wow, what a lot of time and effort that's been put into this project!
I do enjoy a well-developed AU, and that's certainly what you all have got going here. Favorite bios so far include Duncan and Triklops. It's very interesting to see a pure fantasy, darker form of MOTU.
Things I would like to see:
1) Granamyr! (Dragons being a staple of fantasy and all)
2) Demons (something that both sides could fight against at times)

An-Gar, formerly Wrath
A little over 21 years ago, Alexander’s father, Krismus, a Gar man known for his excellent skills as a blacksmith, began working for Prince Keldor, a man trying to take over Eternia. Krismus had never been happy with the Eternian nobility, feeling that the Gars were treated unfairly. With Keldor, a man whose Gar heritage was obvious, he felt that the Gars would finally be given the respect that they deserved.
Krismus faithfully made weapons for Keldor’s troops, feeling that the rebellion was just. However, over time as he saw how Keldor treated the villages that he succeeded in taking over, his faith in Keldor began to wane. Feeling that Keldor was nothing more than a tyrannical despot, Krismus chose to help the Eternian royal family instead, helping to arm their soldiers. Before Krismus could leave, Keldor learnt of his plans and ordered Beastman to capture the family.
At the time of their capture, Alexander was only 5 years old. Keldor, being a truly sadistic and sick creature, forced Alexander to watch as his father was tortured and finally killed by Beastman. What Alexander was forced to watch Skeletor’s troops do to his mother, is best left unsaid. After Alexander’s parents had been dispatched, Keldor was going to simply put Alexander to death, but Evil Lyn told Keldor that perhaps he could be put to better use. Instead of simply killing the child, why not mold him into a loyal servant of Keldor?
Alexander, his mind already warped by the demise of his parents, was further twisted and turned by Keldor (later Skeletor) and his magic. Evil Lyn raised the child, subtly torturing him and desensitizing him, turning him into the perfect weapon for Skeletor. Over the years, Alexander grew up strong and fanatically loyal to Skeletor.
From a young age, Alexander was trained in the arts of war. Triklops taught him swordsmanship, while Whiplash taught him unarmed melee combat. Beastman taught him about nature, helping him become a keen tracker and hunter. Evil Lyn and Skeletor himself taught him magic, seeing that he was a natural sorceror.
Alexander is now 25 years old and Skeletor feels it is time for Eternia’s champions to learn of his existence. He has taken on a new name, An-Gar. The darkness is here.
Personality and Appearance
Being a Gar, An-Gar’s skin is blue. He is about 5’11 and weighs 160 lbs. His body is tightly muscled and his flesh is crisscrossed with scars. Some of the scars are from the conditioning that he received at the hands of Evil Lyn and Skeletor and some of it is self inflicted with a ritualistic dagger. Alexander wears some plate mail armor, with exposed arms and stomach. The scars are plainly visible on his exposed flesh and glow brighter as he uses his hate magic. An-Gar also wears a half-mask that covers part of his face and acts as some added protection.
An-Gar is a cold and cruel man. He has little interest in conversation and prefers to be left alone. When he wants something from someone, he takes it. Needless to say, Eternian women prefer not to gain his attention.
He seldom shows emotion, yet he is filled with a cold rage. Unlike those whose anger is hot, he never loses control. It instead strengthens him, making him more precise and deadly.
He has no memory of his parents anymore. His past is blocked, partially because of the horrors he saw, partially due to the warping effects of Evil Lyn and Skeletor’s magic.
An-Gar’s facial appearance is something that has led to much debate as to the truth of his lineage. He looks much like Keldor himself once did, but no one is sure why. Some think that perhaps Keldor sired An-Gar behind Krismus’ back, while others think that perhaps Krismus was in some way distantly related to Keldor through Keldor’s Gar heritage, while others feel that perhaps Skeletor’s magic is the reason. Those who think that it is due to Skeletor’s magic feel that Skeletor has grown close to the boy views him as a possible heir, feeling that the future ruler of Eternia should share his natural features. In the end, no one knows the truth. It may simply be coincidence, but none have had the courage to ask Skeletor the truth.
Skills and Powers
An-Gar inherited Krismus’ skill as a blacksmith and works to supply Skeletor’s troops with high quality melee weapons. For himself, he has created a sword and battle axe, feeling that a shield would be unneeded for one with his skills.
He is a well trained sorceror, focusing primarily on offensive skills and a few shield spells. He doesn’t care much for entrapment magic, figuring that it is much more efficient to either kill or cripple his opponents.
An-Gar has mastered a rare and valuable form of magic that few can ever master. As his anger increases, all of his skills increase as well. His strength grows, although it will never grow to the levels of He-Man or Thanatos, it becomes high enough to be a suitable match for just about any other warrior on Eternia. His senses improve, to the point where they will match the senses of many animals, for instance his sense of smell improves to the point where he can track his prey and his vision improves to the point where he can effectively see in the dark. When using a bow he becomes much more accurate, and his swordsmanship improves to a point where it rivals Eternia’s greatest warriors. Even his magical abilities increase to the point where his offensive attacks are comparable to those of Evil Lyn or Count Marzo. Because of this magical power, his weakness is that his abilities decrease drastically when he is calmed down and his rage subsides, to the point where he simply has the skills of an exceptionally well trained, yet human warrior.

This is great guys!!! If you haven't done Sy-Klone yet (if you plan on including him), I think it would be cool to maybe have some kind of family relationship to Skeletor. Maybe he is a magic spell gone wrong and swears vengeance to Skeletor or something like that. Just my two cents.
Anyway, keep up the great bios and I can't wait to actually read some stories!!!
That's an interesting idea you have for Sy-Klone. Admittedly we don't have any current plans for his inclusion. I thought about him awhile ago, but I never came up witha anything useable in the end. I am kind of hung up on how he can look like a guy that isn't tech-based, but perhaps his look can be fairly different.
As for our upcoming plans, we have a number of characters currently in the works. Including original characters, we have 15 completed characters that'll be posted over the next few weeks.
We'll also be doing a number of different "kinds" of posts (as in not actual bios), the first of which you'll see a bit later today. I won't give any more details, because we want some of those ideas to come as a surprise.
It's interesting that you mention writing stories with these characters. We originally hadn't intended to do that, although others are free to (assuming you don't make them do something terribly out of character, kill them off or bring the dead back to life). However, in the end we changed our mind and decided to write some stories. The first story is already done and it is a six parter entitled "She-Ra Revisited" and it'll start going up next Wednesday.
So keep on checking out the thread, there's a lot more to come and we hope you enjoy it
There are also a number of characters we'd really appreciate others taking the time to write. We really want to get some more participation on the creative end of this thread. Anyways, here are the characters we currently have no plans for and are up for grabs. There's some requirements that go with some of them that're posted here, but before taking on please contact us so we can discuss any further requirements the character might have, and also so we can ensure that there aren't multiple people working on the same characters.
2-Bad -- Something similar to the MYP story where it's 2 people put together. The blue one should be a Gar.
Sorceress -- PLEASE DO THIS!!! We really don't have any ideas for her and she's too important to be neglected.
Frosta -- Her kingdom should've been decimated. She should have lost everything in her life.
Queen Angella -- She has no powers. Make sure she gives birth to glimmer at some point. Pay special attention to the Hordak bio, the rebel bios (she's not mentioned that much in these) and the timeline for her.
Sea Hawk -- He should be somewhat morally ambiguous. Make him a thief and a pirate or something.
Sweet Bee -- She has to be an Andreenid.

Behind the Scenes. - Birth of a New Vision.
Both I and Darth thought that it would be interesting to explain where the idea for the New Vision came from and how we set about redesigning the MOTU universe. In these "Behind The Scenes" specials we will reveal the details of how we design the new biographies for these well known characters and the process that we use to flesh them out for use in our New Vision series bible.
As a start I thought I would just explain a little bit of how this whole project came about.
Part 1 – Conception.
We (I and Darth) had chatted numerous times on the Org chat room and much to our delight (and total bewilderment) we discovered that we pretty much thought exactly the same way...practically finishing each others sentences. Most of these chats revolved around things we disliked about MOTU and also what we would like changed, as well as the odd discussion on fan characters that we were creating.
The more we chatted one thing became increasingly obvious to me, the problem of introducing fan characters. The problem that I found with introducing fan characters into MOTU, whether they exist within the Filmation universe, MYP or any other variation of He-Man meant, that we, the fans, were unofficially retconning everything that had happened in our favorite shows.
So I said to myself (and Darth) what if we started from scratch. Instead of trying to slot our creations into an already established universe, like putting square pegs in a round hole, why don't we just start over and redo the entire universe in our style. We would even leave it open to the characters created by other fans, provided they followed the simple ground rules (more on the rules soon). This meant that our creations could be a real part of the MOTU universe, they would actually belong there and be an integral part of the show...not just a fans afterthought that they tried to slip in somewhere in the hopes that they would fit.
Part 2 – Pick and Choose: The Rules of the New Vision
So after the initial idea to create a new series bible for a “proposed” all new version of He-Man we set out to create a vision the “we” liked. I can't speak for Darth but I am a firm believer that the first person you should aim to please is yourself. This to me meant that this new version should only incorporate elements that both I and Darth agreed on. As you may recall I had said earlier that we think the same (actually sometimes it is quite scary), so this presented very little problems.
From the beginning we decided that this would be a pure sword and sorcery affair, like Lord of the Rings... only with MOTU characters. We would rid the MOTU universe of all advanced technology and get it basically back to its Conan roots. This meant that we would have to lose characters such as Roboto and Mekaneck (although to us that last one was a blessing). But luckily MOTU has such a rich diversity of characters that it was very easy to fill up our cast despite the loss of techs.
The next thing we decided was that it should be more realistically violent and gritty. Even as a child I knew that war was a very violent affair...yet here were a bunch of people attacking each other with various melee weapons, laser guns and all manner of weapons and yet they never drew blood. Naturally this had to be changed. If people go charging into battle with swords...heads will quite literally roll.
....And thus the New Vision was born
Just tossing out ideas.
Speaking of ideas... what if the Sorceress actually started out life as a falcon, that was chosen by Grayskull to recieve human form? Her personality would be much more aloof, wild, and foreign to the humans of MOTU. Of course, that would also really impact Teela's personality... and love of flight/Wind Raiders ect...
Again, just tossing. If anything sticks, feel free to keep it.
Hmm I think your idea for the sorceress is interesting and no one I had ever thought of. But one thing...Wind Raiders, they're a form of tech I think...so they won't be in the New Vision which is tech free.
Still it is always nice to hear new ideas from our readers / fans and if you or anyone else do find time to do some bios for us just PM either me or DL for the details.
Of the highest honors in Anwat Gar, few were greater than Protector of the Legacy Stones. These magical Stones possessed a great ancient power that they swore to protect from those who would abuse it. This was an honor passed from father to son of the Kaze clan. Before the Gar war, the chosen protector was Kami Kaze. Kami had a son, Sylas, who from a young age was told of his destiny and was taught the history of the Legacy Stones and the Honor of his clan. As young as 6, Kami could already see what a fine Protector Sylas would be. Even at such a tender age, he was always respectful of his elders and behaved with such honor that he reminded others of the ancient Gar warriors. By the age of 10 Sylas’ skill as a martial artist was matched only by that of his father. Sylas’ punch/kick combos were so quick that he was nicknamed “The Fighting Cyclone.”
Then the war broke out. In the shock and confusion of the war, Kami was slain trying to aid his cousin, King Jovus. Sylas wanted to fight alongside his father but was persuaded by his mother to flee with her after Kami’s death as her “protector” and to honor his duty as the new Protector of the Stones. Reluctantly agreeing, Sylas left with his mother, vowing to avenge his father.
Sylas and his mother eventually settled in an old fishing village where they kept a low profile. Everyone in the village welcomed them and as far as they knew, Sylas and his mother Kyla were poor Gar War survivors. Sylas was especially fond of one of the fishermen who wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. His name was Barrett and they became good friends. Kyla instructed Sylas to keep his duty secret but to continue his training should the need arise.
When Sylas was around 17, Kyla went into the woods for berries and never returned. Devastated, Sylas left the village to one day find his mother and avenge his father. He took with him the two heirlooms of his clan; the Legacy Stones and the Shield of the Protector, the only weapon used by the Protectors aside from their hand-to-hand combat skills.
Sylas traveled Eternia searching for answers when one night he was ambushed by a band of thieves, or so he thought. He woke up at the feet of Keldor, who half Gar himself, recognized a fellow Gar. Intrigued by this man, Keldor asked him about his family. Swelling with pride as he addressed a fellow gar Sylas announced, “I am Sylas Kaze, son of Kami, Protector of the Legacy Stones!”
Doubly intrigued, Keldor, recalled the legends of the Legacy Stones and how they contained great mystical power. Realizing the family connection, Keldor sought to recruit Sylas and take the stones. Bound by duty and honor, Sylas refused. Keldor, furious, fired a magical blast at Sylas to retrieve the stones, but a slip of the tongue caused Keldor to cast the wrong spell. The blast bounced off of the stones and onto Sylas. Suddenly, a brilliant light burst from the stones and Sylas shrieked in Pain. When the light recessed, Sylas was shocked to find that the stones had somehow bonded to his chest. He rose in a fury, lashing out at Keldor with his tornado-like combos. Sylas then realized that in his rage, his arms and legs HAD in fact become mini tornadoes and he was…flying!!! Scared for his life, Keldor uttered a teleportation spell and he and his minions disappeared.
Sylas realized that duty had intertwined with fat that day. The Legacy Stones were a part of him and he was part of them. He could control the wind and had become a sort of living tornado…a Sy-Klone!! Sy-Klone took up his shield, swearing vengeance on Keldor for betraying his Gar ancestry and looking, always looking for answers about his mother’s disappearance.
Sy-Klone can create mini tornadoes with either of his hands and feet. The tornadoes created by his feet cause him to lift off the ground and fly, although it’s a very difficult method to use for flying and is generally avoided unless absolutely necessary. Sy-Klone can also project mini-tornadoes from his hands, which he directs at his enemies, the winds blasting weapons out of their hands and knocking them to the ground.
You two are really up my ally when it comes to MOTU. I have a universe as well, with no tech, just magic and man made weapons(swords,axs. shields, armor). My Mekaneck(his name is Makale), has no stretching neck either. Just really powerful eye sight, and hunting and tracking ability, taught to him by his father, and is used as a royal gaurd for reconnaissance. Course his brother is also Ronnin, the Ram-Man.
I like how you gave everyone REAL names as well, as I always have. I have no Buzz-Off, but I have Andros, prince of a fallen race, destroyed by Lord Skeletor.
MAN-E-FACES....Ok, my version is REALLY out there, and I'm sure MEF fans would hate it..but, he's not longer a "man" in mine..he's a snake man( or reptile man, never could decide). Or WAS one, before he left them. He was once called cameleon, do to his ability to blend in to any surounding...but he could also change his appearance at will. His unaltered self is kinda like Khan, no tail, pretty humanoid in shape, but his face, is the face your use to as his "monster" face..but in my universe, it's his REAL face, that of a reptile.
When he left them, and joined the Royal Gaurd, he was of course the perfect spy, able to blend in anywhere without being seen, and able to change his appearance. The other gaurds started calling him Many-faces.
I really hope you guys continue your vision, because I for one LOVE most of what your doing!

Have no fear about the continuation of it, we're going to be plugging away for squite some time to come. As I said in an earlier post, we've got another 15 bios completed and a number in the works, as well as a 6 part story ready to go. On top of that, we'll be continuing the behind the scenes segments that we started today, as well as posting a few other goodies.
So far we've been lucky because we've had a number of people post some excellent bios (He-Man54's Sy-Klone, Hawggie's Triklops and Optimus Prime's Zodac). In the case of He-Man54's Sy-Klone and Optimus Prime's Zodac, we were particularly lucky because we originally had no intention of including those character at all, yet the aforementioned authors thought of excellent ways to include them in our story.
We're trying to include pretty much everyone from the series in the bios, although some are pretty much impossible to do (such as Roboto and Rio Blast).
Interestingly, I also really like them having real names, because it makes them seem more real. For me, the hardest part of writing is coming up with the names, so I actually browse through a baby naming site until I find a name that fits

Yeah, Roboto and Rio are tough, but I really don't see it as a big deal. Man-E-Faces(edited above) took me awhile, but I'm now happy with it(in my universe). So who knows, maybe some one here will think up something for Rio!
This is one we've been sitting on for a couple weeks now. Hope you guys like it.
Shortly after Skeletor had banished Hordak back to Etheria, he took three of his solders, Davis, Jared and Kirk with him to survey the regions near to Snake Mountain. During the Great War there had been little time for exploration, so much of the terrain was fairly unknown to Skeletor.
Walking through a dark forest, Skeletor became aware of a soft whimpering. Bending down, Skeletor saw a scrawny panther cub. There was no sign of its mother being nearby and due to how emaciated the poor creature was, Skeletor determined that he must be abandoned. Skeletor picked up the panther cub and to his amazement, the cub started affectionately licking his face. This was the first time that any living creature had seen his visage and not turned away disgusted, let alone showing any sort of affection. So soon after his own scarring, some small vestiges of Keldor’s kindness still existed, so he chose to take the cub and raise it as his own. Looking down at the cub he quietly said, “your name will from this day forward be Panthor.”
Skeletor then heard Kirk sarcastically whisper to the other two soldiers, “wow, what an original name.” The other two soldiers quietly chuckled........
After Panthor was done feasting on Kirk, Davis and Jared, Skeletor took him home and raised him to be his loyal steed and companion.
Abilities and Personality
Panthor is a savage beast who is solely loyal to Skeletor. Skeletor’s other minions know to avoid Panthor unless they want to lose a limb.
Panthor is much larger than any normal panther. This is due to Skeletor using magical spells and incantations on him over many years, causing him to grow extremely large and unimaginably strong.
Panthor is unique among all the creatures in Eternia in that he is the one thing that Skeletor appears to care about. Skeletor will become distressed and angered when Panthor gets injured.
After Panthor was done feasting on Kirk, Davis and Jared, Skeletor took him home and raised him to be his loyal steed and companion.
