In Paddavis' thread about movie pics someone linked to a site that I had completely forgotten about. It has LOADS of screencaps from the movie.

Well, waddya' know. It's been mentioned that it can be seen on those doors for quite some time, but this is the first time that someone has bothered to cap trough the movie until it could be seen.
I say this calls for a small celebration. What do you say, lads? A small wallpaper with the Symbol done up in a more basic way, and in the same style as the Movie-logo?
I figure we might need an even better pic for that tho, with a more frontal perspective, so we can trace the darn thing.
I upped the contrast and darkened the edges in photoshop, and also made it rounder. this might help someone take a stab at tracing it to make a logo out of it.

Evil-Lyn: "I have selected your finest warriors....
Blade-with the power of male pattern baldness and Uni-optically hindered depth perception
Saurod-he's a lizard....I think
the Beastman-whose growling ability can only be comprimised by his vulnerability to amonia
and Karg-whose mink stoal and hook serve no purpose what-so-ever"
Karg: "hi guys"
Skeletor: "Shut up Karg"
The "Grayskull Dragon" is also on He-Man's belt:
It's also interesting to note that there is some sort of "Battle Cat" tiger on the belt as well:

"It tasted good..." - Gwildor
Wow, another interesting titbit there!
I wonder was there a stop motion Battle Cat ever intended to be in the movie?
I've never seen designs for him but then the only design that we've seen that was never in the movie was She-Ra.

I doubt their were ever plans for Battle Cat in the movie. They new it would be cost-prohibitive from the beginning.
WOW, that is cool how there is a link between He-Man's chest symbol and the Grayskull symbol. I wish there was more attention paid to it in the movie. Actually, I wish more that it was the basic cross from the original figure. How cool would that have been?
"Everything comes to he who waits."
***bit...?All right, I'll stop now!
My gut-reaction was that maybe, just maybe, there was such a design, but then VZX said something that really made sense, with the cost and all..
Could be that Moebius could have done one, early on, before the budget was all known and such, but most likely not by Stout.
It's rather sad that we know so little about the Moebius part of the concept-sketches...All we've seen are 3 He-men, there must be more.
where in washington is the store with the cosmic key? I'd like to see it.
btw.....the sword is no longer in Orlando.
I use to own a he-man chest sheild, Its deffitally a dragon, and I have a picture of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it for you guys! It was a spare from the prop department.
I wish I still had it![]()

Thought I would share some more tidbits about props from the movie.
The pistols used by Skeletors soldiers were reused in Suburban Commando and Delta Force 2 I think holstered to the body.
Toy rifles based on the rifles from V and sold as Robotech Guns were hoarded by the propmaster Ellen Freund and considered to be used as weapons for the movie.
very interesting indeed, that tiger thing hanging from his belt, its atleast a tribute to the mighty battle cat![]()

I'm pretty sure the the black troops were resued in one of those 90's direct to video sci-fi movies.
I also think He-man's armour also showed up in some cheaptastic fantasy flick.
As for the dragon crest! I have no idea why they would pic a dragon as an emblem for Grayskull! But as the movie was pretty much it's own entity, i think it's kinda cool that it's a dragon.

Dragon looks like MK logo![]()
Don't you have better thing to do than read this stupid signature
Tony Clifton : Kaufman was a hack....hack sack pack nack !
Got my props the other day!
First up is a Skeletor trooper gun like the one seen in the trooper's hand here:
This is a stunt version, so it's cast in a really thick rubberized foam and painted to look like a "real" gun. It's freaking huge too, measuring around 16" long!
And the dagger-
Which can be seen here (it's tough to get a clean screen grab on it):
The dagger is cast in a self-skinning foam, with a support inside. I'd say it was done like this instead of as a real dagger to protect Dolph from injury.
Oh, and while looking for other screen grabs, I realized that He-Man has it throughout the film until he is captured! I always thought it was gone after it's use in the initial fight scene, but you can clearly see it in mutliple shots throughout the movie! I am pretty stoked about that...

Seriously cool man!!! I envy you big time!![]()

I'm going to try to do a vector image of the Dragon logo, will put it up when I get it done!
Mmmm.... the dragon Granamyr, perhaps? Granamyr does know He-Man's secret identity, so it is possile that...
NAH!![]()
