Well, unless that's actually your site, then we don't know who scanned them.

Could you perhaps go ahead and post the even bigger scans? I know a lot of people use really, really high native resolution in windows, and maybe some people will want to make prints out of it?
Haha, yeah, that's my site I can't take credit for originally scanning them, just editing them to a wallpaper sized image. I had forgotten where they originally came from, but it was definitely from here on the org. I would love to post the larger images, but I am not sure what the policy is on posting high resolution scans of copyrighted material. If one of the higher ups gives us the clear to post the 2392x1722 versions, I would be more than glad to put them up for everyone to enjoy

THAT shouldn't prove to be any problem whatsoever...

    http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...+poster&page=2

The eternia-poster can be found therein, and yes, it's gigantic.

    Fire at will, sir. ^^

Do you have it with the names edited out btw? Or maybe we should go ahead and make one, once the big versions are distributed?

I truly believe that this should become the official thread for hi-rez scans of Motu-posters, wherein we can collect all of them, btw.

In the Grayskull poster...who the heck is that in the Wind Raider?
Hide & Seek Hordak does nothing to make collecting fun.

You know, that's a good question.

If it wasn't for the fact that he's standing there on the cliff, I'd say it was Webstor, but obviously he can't be doing the flying while he's doing the slingin'. On the other hand... Prince Adam is right there, behind He-man on the side of the masters, so who knows!

    EDIT: Here's a rapidshare-link of the Eternia-poster.

When I was little I had the Eternia one. I loved that poster so much. I'd spend hours staring at it and daydreaming. Sadly I have no idea where it ended up....

These posters are the reason why MOTU ruled back in the 80s.
They take you to an amazing world of fantasy. They are so dark and full of energy.

200x MOTU should had art like this.

Mike, could you gather up the high-rez scans of the Eternia and Greyskull-posters and put them in your first post, along with some explanatory text?

I really think it'd be good to have them all in the same place.

Oh, and obviously we'll add any other posters if they show up in the future. Perhaps we should also rename this thread into "Hi-rez scans of classic MotU Posters".

Agree totally, This is what MOTU was for me as a kid, the cartoon didn't come close. I would love for the new movie to have this type of feel to it.

I wonder if the edited one was the one I did. I remember sending that to quite a few folks on here, but I can't be the only one who did it (esp since he-lurker did it for the grayskull one!)

Also in the wind raider it looks KIND OF Like it could be extendar, but this poster predates him right> also He-man is in the grayskull poster THREE time (battle armour, original and Prince Adam) so who says webstor can't be two places at once!

Right? All of the posters were infamous for having both Prince Adam and He-man appear together as separate entities though.

has anyone managed to get it scanned in a decent quality (no light reflections etc) in the meantime???
I have tried multiple times to get mine scanned with our large format scanner here at work but the light reflections still are causing me problems

My wife had suggested sticking the sides down with some of her scrapbook stuff but I worry it might rip the poster when you take it off

As you can see if I could control the curling it would no longer reflect light

hmm how about using sticky tack? you could put it on the back of the poster, and let it overlap the edges to hold it down.

yeah that is true, they recently removed the two big lights that used to be above our overhead scanners (we have 2 of them now) and so that might also help some.

I had also toyed with scanning the poster multiple times in Photoshop and cropping it together but right now we only have 1 functioning flat bed scanner at work and my one at home is dying.
