    1987 Movie Inspired He-Man

I wanted to do a He-Man that was a cross between the iconic He-Man we all know and love with the 1987 movie He-Man with only (slightly modified) MOTUC parts.

    Hope you like.

Let me know what you think

UPDATED with better pics and detail pics.

I am in awe, that looks awesome. What did you use for the shoulder pads?

I love it. I'd much rather have variants like this than battle armor.

Very cool! It would look great next to my movie skeletor.
Did you glue the Carnivus shoulderpads to the harnass at the hinges?

This is one of the better customs I've seen period. I love the wash effect on both the armor and the cape.

Would you mind giving us a bit of an overview on the technique you used?

Awesome work all around. Hopefully u have a movie inspired Skeletor coming next.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
    The recipe is:
    Standard He-Man
    Chief Carnivorus Shins
    He-Ro Forearms
    He-Ro Cape

The Harness is a standard He-Man harness with Cheif Carnivorus Shoulder pads, held together with plastic strips from a DVD case. I dremeled out the shoulder pads to be flush and heated the strips to match the curve of the harness. the Cape loops are necklace bobbles I had, bent to D-Rings and secured with plastic from throw away plastic tupperware.

I dremeled out the weird part in the cape, took the cross piece of the He-Man harness and epoxie puttied it into the gap, cut the tops of the cape off and remodeled them to fit into the harness.

The Hardest part was painting the cape, and finding a skin tone match for the forearms, the pictures make them look funny, which I'm not happy about, but in real life its spot on.

This was my first real custom, so I'm mostly happy with how it turned out

I will post pics of the insides and undersides and such if you guys want.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Holy crap is this awesome! This is EXACTLY what a MOTUC movie He-Man would look like. Brilliant re-use of parts.

GREAT job! I was just thinking recently of how a mix of the movie and classic figure would look. It's perfect! Well done!

Wow, very cool He-man! I can imagine the Dolph face on him would look sweet as well.

Man, he looks very King Leonides (300) as well.

I think you just gave a lot of us some inspiration for a future personal custom.

    Yeh, that He-man is killer!

    very very very nice.

the only thing I would say as a constructive critic:

    the hair should be updated.

basically the amazing paint job on the armor really makes the hair look "blah" compared to it.

i think the hair should be a bit dirtier.....

    but the idea/workmanship is amazing.

    keep it up.
