Hordak's dark secret reveal on Vol 2.....

I'll just say this as the DVD isn't SOS'd til Tuesday:

King Grayskull was not Hordak's original target when he came to Eternia

What am I talking about? Check out disc 3 of MOTU Vol 2!

And so I walk, into the searing light which banishes all darkness, surrendering my face and form to atoms of dust, seeking the true darkness of peace, the cool shadows of eternity and the unknown fate of nothingness

Yeah, this most certianly throws new light onto a number of issues. I think everyone is going to be pleased. There is just one piece of the puzzle missing for me now, how the hell were they going to work the Hordak - Adora /She-Ra angle in. There where plans, it was stated at the 2007 SDCC MOTU panel. Maybe they will do a character profile on her / Adora in the next volume of the DVD? it would be good to know what her back story would have been in this version of MOTU. (IMHO) Something like this should be done, as there was a She-Ra toy produced, and it would really help to clear a lot of things up.

That would mean so much to me, and I am sure many other fans as well. There was one offical (I assume) immage released of her based on the toy, so maybe they would use that immage.

If you havent seen it, my avatar is a much smaller version. I hope this could happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Mattel have now mentioned MOTU characters who had no screen time period in the new cartoon! Maybe we will finally find out what the plans were for Hordak / She-Ra.

Well, you know, the truth is there weren't a lot of plans for She-Ra, so I wouldn't expect any big revelation for somethign that was never written.
Even this bio about Hordak is interesting for that same reason...

Even this bit of news about Hordak is interesting in that manner...
Thats a fair point! But, Mattel have now spoken on characters in the Hordak Bio, who were not involved in the 2k cartoon in anyway. Which leads me to think this content has been added after the cartoon ended. If this was cannon when the cartoon was in production I have no argument. But if this has just been added for the DVD's to tie in with MOTU classics, why can't Mattel throw fans a bone with She-Ra and put in a character bio for her as well. She is just as important to MOTU as the other characters mentioned in the Hordak Bio, and equally deserves some recognition.

No matter how small, there were plans for She-Ra. one of the panel members said so at the SDCC 2007 MOTU panel. If the bio on the back of the SDCC Exclusive She-Ra box is correct, we need to know how Hordak stole Princess Adora away from Eternia. He couldn't have done it himself, as he is trapped in Despondos. Seriously, this is a big hole in the information Mattel has put out there in regards to 2002 version of MOTU. It would be nice to have it cleared up finally.

Would it really be that hard for Mattel to include a picture of She-Ra similar to the other bio pictures. A Mattel writer could easily write a passage to show how she would have been included. (IMHO) She-Ra is the one lose end that Mattel needs to tie up to make the 2002 MOTU cartoon cannon complete. She was totally ingored in MYP MOTU and for me this was one of the bigest disapiontments about the whole project. A picture and character bio in the last DVD set would be a lovely way of recognising the importance she plays in the MOTU story. I know its probably unrealistic to hope for something like this. However, Mattel have now included these other characters within the 2002 cannon, why not She-Ra as well. I think she arguably deserves recognition as much as the characters also mentioned.

Well, this is an interesting revelation. And I agree with Angel-T, it does feel like it was added after the end of the series for this new Classics line, but who knows? It would be neat to know that MYP was thinking about past history of MOTU, even with everything they changed.

I also agree, She-Ra is a major missing component, and it would be nice to see how she could have factored in. My guess is it had something to do with Prahvus.

I'd also like to see how the 3 towers would have played in. Wasn't something said about a missing last episode script to be included in the third DVD set? I hope that still happens.

Guys, why don't you just post a summary for discussion.
Saying "Hey, PM me it too!" is worse than just posting the info.

We don't need a sea of PM requests for something you're all going to see anyway on the DVD.

You all will end up discussion stuff seen on the DVD anyway.

If it's okay with val, here we go:

Hordak's the younger brother of Horde Prime, ruler of the Horde Empire based off Horde World. He'd been chasing the Cosmic Warrior He-Ro across the universe when they came upon Eternia. Enticed by it's magic and power, Hordak moved in to conquer it, but had to deal with the ongoing conflict between King Grayskull and the Snake Men. This led him to put together the group we saw in "Power of Grayskull" and the events depicted in that episode. He then struck the bargain with the evil alchemist Keldor as seen in "Price of Deceit" to get out of Despondos.

They say that Hordak came to Eternia chasing He-Ro across the Universe.
Why am i not surprised... It seems they are putting a lot of emphasis on He-ro..
