I felt the EXACT same way when I was watching it and looking back at the flocked Moss Man that was sitting in my case.

We got most of the Horde, why couldnt we get that Horde Trooper. Missed opportunities I guess, but they look so freaking cool!

Well, sadly the Best Buy I went to said they were sold out this morning. Two hours after they opened. So, I had to buy it elsewhere. But, for some reason my disc 3 wont let me get to the comic. I've tried two different computers that have DVD Rom on it and it acts like I dont and tells me to insert the disc into a drive with DVD ROM..

anyone else having this issue? I want to read this comic so bad

Just "explore" the discs and launch the Interactual player you see there.
It will allow you to get access to the comic and the scripts.
You also need to be connected to the internet while you do that.

Okay, remember earlier when I said I was only going to buy the Best Buy version of the DVD set, and I was only going to stop by Target to check out their exclusive but didn't plan on buying it? Well it turns out that I'm a freakin' lier!!!

This is what happened. After work, before I even went to either of those stores, I stopped by Gamestop because I had to return a used PSP game that I bought a few days ago there that ended up being defective. They didn't have any more of that title in stock (nor did any of the near by stores), so I just asked for a refund.

After that, I went to Best Buy and bought that MOTU exclusive, and then I went to Target.

I get there, and there's only 1 copy of the exclusive set left sitting there on the shelf. I pick it up and look at it. Honestly, I didn't find the key chain all that impressive, BUT I did really, really like the box that the whole thing was housed in. Esspecially from the side, it looks cool with the side image of Snake Armor He-Man enlarged. So, with the box looking cool, with it being the last copy, and being that I just got a refund on a video game that actually cost $1 more than this DVD set, I went ahead and bought it.

This actually helps solve my quasi delema of whether to put the SDCC DVD set or the standard DVD set of Vol 3 in my collectors box that came with BB vol.1. I will keep the standard version in that nice Target Box, and put the SDCC version in the BB collection box (I think it looks a little better that way with Zodak being on the side, resulting in 3 different characters being represented, rather than He-Man, Skeletor, and slightly different He-Man).

I know, I'm OCD when it comes to DVD packaging (esspecially MOTU).

How did you like the explanation that Beast Man would have remained that way but he was just way too fat to fit on a card

I tried that and updated my drivers and everything and still no luck. It just tells me to stick the dvd into a driver with DVD ROM. I know my DVD ROM works becauase I tried a different DVD in it that had DVD ROM stuff on it.

OK so you are putting it in the computer and Windows is telling you the disc does not exist correct?

If you open the DVD through the file explorer you can go straight to the pdfs. They're located under the "Common" folder on the disc. I'm really not sure what being connected to the internet is supposed to do, but I can get to them whether I'm connected or not.

You shouldnt really need an internet connection as you can manually find the file to open if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader (as far as I know)

    Hey everyone!

Would anyone be willing to help me get a copy of the Best Buy exclusive Volume 3 DVD with printed comic-adaption of the unproduced episode 40? I'd really love to get it - and eBay-prizes will certainly be high...

Thx. & cheers to anyone considering it!

EDIT: Already found someone willing to trade! These boards are awesome!!

No SDCC or friends on the board (I live in NY), no Best Buy's around me breaking street date -- and no lunch break at work today, so I was left on my own at 5pm to go hunting for Volume 3.

I work about an hour from my home, and there are 2 or 3 Best Buys from NJ to NY - the first had a fair amount (about 15), but for some reason, they were all damaged. Looked and felt like water damage -- soft backs and ink-sticky fronts. I purchased one that seemed mostly OK nonetheless, opened it in my car, and found everything inside warped except for the bonus comic. As this damage was externally visible on all the other copies in-store, they simply refunded my money.

At the next Best Buy along the way, all the copies (only about 10, if that) looked fine - and the inside is all good as well. As I hadn't seen these episodes before, I was naturally excited to get this in my hands, and get home to my DVD player. Another awesome volume.

Yeah, it's not hard to find if you treat the DVD like you might a CD and open it up yourself rather than play it through the DVD player. I too was a little confused about the mention of the internet, and wondered if something was supposed to happen when I navigated to the option while the DVD was playing. But this is one of the first times I've ever wanted to read a pdf in a DVD extra, so I didn't know what to expect.

I'm terrible, first thing I did was look through the galleries and the documentaries for all the cool pics of things. Is it possible to get rid of the navigation menus at the bottom of the screen in the galleries? Those MYP backgrounds would make great wall paper if not for those darned menus blocking parts of the picture.

I haven't even listened to anything yet, it's all been picture madness! Gotta say it was great to see original sketches for Jitsu (hey, that's not the staction!), Horde Trooper (nice but Emiliano's is still my favorite), and Spikor (great head but that's soooo Clawful's body), and He-Man's original hair was SO MUCH BETTER! I never paid much attention to that whole debate, but now I'm a convert, that's the look he should have had! I'm in 7th heaven finally seeing what the young Elders looked like! If they'd only had close ups of all the Council of Wisdom guys from the comics, my obscure ancient character madness would finally be satisfied!

So far this is my favorite of the MYP era DVDs. I'm amazed how much is here!!! Still looking, I just had to say how great this is! BCI, THANK YOU!

I had those exact same thoughts while watching this. Especially regarding He-Man; we nevcer did get a 2002 He-Man that satisfied me. Closest we got was the Ice Armor version.

    WARNING....VOL3 Spoilers ...

Well its 12:30 now and im finally done watching all of VOL3. Its good..BUT, I got a little tired of the snakepeople. It was just too much of them. They never went away. They just kept on coming and coming.

I didnt like the ending so much , but it was ok...I really wanted a real "goodbye" rather than just another "see ya next time"

Im rather "oldschool" in my MOTU so I dont like the new armor at all. It just isnt Heman to me.

One thing I do like is, the MASTERS seem to fight more and better on the new series. They all seem to get beat up by a pat on the wrist on the Classic show.

Over all, I would say watching the 2k series was good. I love the animation and even almost a TEEN rating with some of the fighting and deaths.

I had NO IDEA Zodak was even that important or powerful. Never really seen much of that on the Classics.

I was impressed over all and really wish for a new Heman but figure its time has come and gone?"fingers crossed"

Thanks for all the hard work and dedication to all the artists and people who worked on not only the 2k series, but the Classic Heman as well..Its given me years of memories and enjoyment..And my kids even watch it some too..

Definitely get the BB exclusive with printed comic. I didn't participate in it's production so people would go and buy a small key-chain instead.

That's the one thing that I would have also liked.

EVERY TIME there is a "sketch" or "backround" gallery in any DVD, I pray that they are un-framed images that span accross the viewscreen as big as they can, but with these frames, every last one of them are way too small to make myself a decent wallpaper. Even the menu-selections have those cool backrounds used, and I'd love to be able to screen-grab them without the menu-texts in them.

i have gotta say i love the fact that he-man got to wear his snake armor, one thing that bugged me in the old line is that in the cartoon he-man never wore any of his chase version armors.
and he-mans hair seems longer in this season too, and to me it seems the animation was more like it was in the origin episodes(1,2,3)very well done
REALLY wish would could get one more season, or a DVD movie of it

I ended up getting both. I loved the comic with the BB set but was not too impressed by the keychain from Target. I guess I got the Target set more for the box.
