My disc 1 had terrible problems, but that was because it had a huge scratch on it. I sent it back to BCI over a week ago, so I'm waiting for a replacement.

Yeah, I had exactly the same problem you and Scott had. Also the 2nd part of Rise of the Snake Men freezes when I try to watch it with the commentary on.

Okay, I'm late to this party but I recently just got Vol. 3 and finished it tonight.

Like many, I have to say I'm heartbroken the story didn't continue. When He-man prevented Evil-Lynn from bringing Hordak back I was mad! Of course I knew it wouldn't happen but I wanted to see Hordak again darn it. Season 4 would have been so cool. Does anyone know if 4H designed an official Horde Armor? Was that what was used in the background painting?

I managed to snag the last BB-exclusive copy that had the comic (all the others were sans comic) and enjoyed it. One question I did wonder about... sorry if this has been asked and answered... but why was Mer-man is a sort of black harness get-up rather than his standard armor?

In any case, it was a great package. All the production sketches were great. It just goes to show that someone needs to REALLY put out an Art of MOTU coffee table book.

I believe the black part is the seat-belt if I'm thinking what your thinking. That being said, his shoulder guards are missing so I'm not too sure

Merman had to wear the black harness so Beastman could lower him in!
    Where's the confusion??

And the harness would probably not fit very well over his armour so he took it off.

Ahhhhh.... for some reason I didn't notice it until late in the book. I missed it in the first part when he was being lowered in. Now I see.

I would really want to see the story continue.. I bet Snake-man-at-arms would have built Blast Attack. Great way to introduce this character. Also Clamp Champ could be the one to step up and take Duncans position in the ranks of the Defenders.

There was a thought amongst board members that Clamp Champ would have been Dekkers son and Dekker would have introduced CC to the Masters. I love the idea!

Another thought was that Dekker would be Clamp Champ. Very Out-of-the-Box but I could really see Dekker with a makeshift clamp made from an old Claw Guy's discarded claw backing up the Masters

I agree with Neo about the story having not continued. That was unfortunate.

Does anyone know how to get European versions of the 3 volumes of the series? I've been checking amazon etc and all I come up with is the Region 1 (America and Canada) version.

Because that's the only one released.
As far as I know, no European country has published the whole series yet.
(Finland got a couple of discs but not sure how far they got in the series)

To my understanding, Season 1 was fully released (first DVD release of MYP) in small volumes (3 episodes per DVD) in Germany, Holland and Finland (Region 2). They were all dubbed versions barebones.

Only 3 dvd's were released in Holland and the third one never even made it to stores. So we only got 6 episodes or so.

Well if anyone knows the source of the Avatar I wouldn't mind seeing it. It looks great.

    Chris here...

I got my copy of this set just over a week ago (yep, I know - very late, as is usual with me!) and have thoroughly enjoyed it, I have't watched the Snake Men episodes in quite a while and it was awesome to see the season 2 morals for the first time!

However, I have one question - when I put disc 3 in my laptop to try and access the Episode 40 comic, I can't get to it because my laptop's DVD-ROM drive isn't multi-region - the InterActual Player thing loads up OK (although it's rather annoying that the software just installs itself without asking for a prompt), but then tells me that I can't access the disc because of regional encoding!

I must confess I have only skimmed the replies to this thread, so I apologise if I missed anything - did any other international fans have this problem, and if so, is there a way round it? I was really looking forward to reading the comic and am very disappointed I can't make it work - I don't particularly want to mess around with changing the region settings on my DVD-ROM drive if I can get away with it...

    Take care...

There is a simple way around it my friend.
Just install a region unlocker software like Anydvd from Slysoft.
Reload the DVD and your player is region free now.

That's strange He-Fan because you have to open the disc as you would with any other DATA CD/DVD you would have. Data CD/DVDs don't have regions.

I suggest you put it in, right click to explore the disc and browse through the "Common" folder. If you can't do it, I will send you the PDF through email if you like!

Insert the DVD into your PC. Make sure it doesn't start playing.
    Click on My Computer,
Right click on your DVD drive on your PC.
    Click on "Explore."
The click on the folder marked "Common."
Find folder #62 and click on it.
Inside is the PDF file of the comic of ep.#41.

    Enjoy!
After all you DO HAVE the disc and it's a shame for you not to be able to enjoy the comic which is awesome!

I will be back home from work in about 3 hours. If noone else helps you out, I will get back to you and see what we can do

Emiliano managed to see it by browsing as I (and he) explained.. And he is in Italy. (different region)

Don't go through the Intelactual (or whatever it is called) player.

Anyway, Neo and He-fan will receive a PM with the link when I get home

Wow, that is so kind of you - thank you so much!! Yes please, if you could e-mail me the PDF that would be great, it would save a lot of hassle - my e-mail is he-fan@thundercatslair.org - I do occasionally get issues with e-mails above a certain size on that account, so if there's a problem then LMK and I'll PM you a (non-public) e-mail you can use!

I was really disappointed when the comic wouldn't load for me as I'd been so excited about reading it - if I were able to see it that would just be awesome!

Again, I really cannot thank you enough!

No need to send me a PM, I found its location on the dvd a while ago. But thanks anyways.
