    Grizzlor's loincloth, yay or nay?

Looking at the recent reveal i mus say that the loincloth piece kinda looks off don't you think? IT makes sense on the staticon (maybe?) but as a classic figure ... hmmmm ... i'm just hopping it's removable ...

    NAY!

The loin-cloth together with the light coloured fur makes this an easy pass for me (and I had Grizzlor as a child and was really looking forward to getting the MOTUC version).

    Cheers.

I'll wait to see him at SDCC before I make any snap judgments. Seeing him looking menacing with all his weapons and gear might put him in a better perspective than in that joke picture.

I voted No Unless It's Removable(I just hope its removability works better than Webstor's extra legs). It doesn't add anything to the toy imo, and it really clashes with the rest of him. I am just extremely happy Grizzlor doesn't have his yellow headgear(that is if this picture is indicative of what the actual release will look like).

I think the figure itself looks mediocre overall though it could just be the unflattering pose. I'm going to have reserve an opinion about the figure (I like the loin cloth even if it doesn't match the coloration of the rest of the figure) until I see a Pixel Dan review.

I'm glad they included the loin cloth. I"m confident though, that they will make it removable for those folks who want to show him in his purely vintage form.

My question is...we will get another head with the 200x headgear???

If he had his yellow headgear and ton of weapons, the loincloth would work even better. Like I've said earlier, I'm waiting for SDCC for better pics--to see Grizz in his proper context.

    Loin Cloth Easter Egg

I'm wondering if people remember the Easter Egg aspect of the loincloth? It's actually The Four Horsemen logo! I don't know if I ever would have realized that, so thankfully they announced it around the time the staction came out. I don't know if that'll influence how people feel about it, but I just wanted to mention it in case people forgot/never heard.

I think it makes the figure more interesting, personally.

I don't know, if it is removable, don't you think they would have displayed him on the card with the loincloth off? That way it would look more like the Robot Chicken scene they're trying to recreate.

I'm a MOC collector. I hope that lame thing isn't on him in the package. It looks so out of place.

I voted for No, unless it's removable as well.

It looked good on the staction, but it looks so out of place on the vintage design.

That's like saying my mosquito bite wouldn't seem as bad if I cut one of my fingers off. No one in MOTU, imo, needs headgear. He looks like he's either an amature boxer or in "special" classes.

I like a lot of what The Four Horsemen do, but they are no where near perfect imo. While the "Easter egg" is a nice little nod to the Horsemen & their devout fans, I could do without it.

My answer isn't in the poll options: I -am- getting Grizzlor and I don't care. With it, without it. Pretty cool looking figure.

I didn't like Grizzlor growing up, and never owned his vintage figure. Hated all the barely articulated garbage from 200x, so I never bought the staction either. This will be my first Grizzlor and I'm okay with how he looks. But again, I don't care one way or another concerning the loincloth.

I voted no, unless it's removeable. I'm a very outspoken fan of armour and clothes that are removeable.

Not only do I love it, but I'm also hoping that he has his head gear piece as well.

The loincloth is removable. Said so in the recent answered questions from the Toyguru Mattycollector.com thread. Vintage fans can rest easy now.

And so can MOTUC fans who just happen to dislike the loincloth.

I voted yay. I love the 200X Grizzlor as well as his depiction in the Filmation toons, but I was never a big fan of the vintage toy. I think the loincloth helps make him look less like a koosh ball. I'd also love to see a 200X inspired head, but I'm not holding my breath.
