1987 Movie figs in MotUC?

I'd definitely take Saurod, Gwildor, Blade, Karg, and Pigboy.

I'd probably pass on the others.

we should be seeing blade, gwildor and saurod because they already have the rights to them ...

but yeah - i would love to see karg and a movie-style he-man/skeletor make it into this line ... some people have said that julie/kevin figures wouldn't fit into the line - if you ask me, they'd fit more than an eternian dentist!

...

a lot of people want filmation rights whereas i would prefer to see them get the '87 movie rights, personally ...

There are soooo many cool figures that could come from obtaining the movie rights. Skeletor's warriors (armored, helmeted men w/ hover boards) would make a terrific two-pack.

i sometimes wish they made a dedicated '87 movie line back in the day ...

but - i guess it would have been weird having both 'styles' on the shelves (original toy-like style vs. new concept movie style) ... the character appearance differences for he-man, skeletor etc. were so different that sanctioning/producing this would have been almost impossible i guess ...

plus, i guess MOTU was on the wane on the popularity scale pretty much during and after 1987 on the whole ...

it certainly wasn't with me anyway! ...

Movie rights would be almost as good as finally getting Shadow Weaver and Scorpia. I hope it is one of the 4 announcements.

same here ... the '87 movie holds a big place in my MOTU world ... i loved it more than the filmation cartoon growing up, and it was a huge movie for me when i was younger - and still is now ...

they could totally fit into the story-line and plot too ... they could make a story-arch where he-man actually goes to earth (like he did in the movie) ... plus, if we are going to see 'humans' in this line - then the only logical choice is to use characters seen in the movie as it ties in with the plot-lines seen in the movie ...

Yep! and I would love it if Kevin Became songster....I mean if Marlena is from earth (my most HATED MOTU Concept ever!) then theres no reason why Kevin and Julie cant exist too!

I would buy like six of them and have them in 2 lines before Skeletor.... Ah... the dreams....

yeah for sure ... it looks more flowing and realistic ...

for a move-themed skeletor i would want black cloth with a 'velvet' effect - assuming using real velvet material would be too costly ...

I made a movie Classics Skeletor a while ago using motuc parts and the original head as if he went through the motuc machine.

I like the plastic cape on him.

We have someone representin every genre in MOTU except the Guardians from NA and the 87 film, we know a Guardian is coming this year, but when do you think we will see an 87 film figure?
