Sadly, I doubt Mattel really gives a flip at this point about the movie rights- they've already went through hoops with Classic Media and Bitner and at this point I doubt they want to jump through many more. What I question though is if Flipshot is registered by Nerf now will Mattel have issues with Blade being registered to Marvel?

Can you imagine how awesome characters like Karg, Blade, Saurod, He-Man and Skeletor ( maybe a movie 2 pack) could turn out?
If you can't here are a few hints:
Is there are any reason why any of these have made it into the line yet? I personally can't wait for a SAUROD!

They still don't have the rights to anything from the movie except the three figures they already licensed for it in the 80's, namely Gwildor, Saurod and Blade. According to an old Q&A from ToyGuru those figures won't have a special subline or sticker, they will just be regular monthly figures.

That gold skeletor would be AMAZING in Classics! I really like the idea of having Karg and the storm troopers in the line at some point in the future.

Just fine with the 3 movie figs we'll be getting in time.
there were two versions of skeletor in the movie. both would be very cool to have in classics.
the continuing story would fall in nicely too.
skeletor taking control over all of eternia. he-man & a few masters remaining.
skeletor gains the power of greyskull. becomes a god!
he-man & skeletor have an epic battle. skeletor gets pulled into a dimensional void. the end?
skeletor emerges as n/a skeletor. entering in the n/a storyline.
Keep hoping. The rights are kind of iffy because you have to get the actors to sign off on them. I would love a Meg Foster Evil-Lyn figure, but its going to take a lot.

they don't NEED the actors if they get the movie rites they can do the fig's and just have them not look like the actors like hot toys did with Aliens now it would be 100% better if they did get the actors rites but they don't need them to do a movie line

How does everyone feel about 1987 MOTU movie He-man and Skeletor? I had seen the two customs a while back and the detail was amazing but I would love to see what Matty Collector could pull off. your thoughts. Now did matty say they wont be doing characters from the movie or just any figures movie related?

unfortunately mattel don't have the rights to do the '87 movie figures ... i can only hope that in the future they can acquire these and make movie-versions of skeletor/he-man in MOTUC ...

Indeed, Lubic as well as Julie, Kevin, and movie versions (classicized) of He-Man, Duncan, Teela, Skeletor, and maybe the Sorceress. I think we have at least one thread for this already though, so I'd be prepared for a merge.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. Jungle Attack He-Man in Classics!
I just watched this film over the weekend.
Yikes... it's been a while since I saw it, and it was my wife's first viewing.
She thinks it's way too "star wars" and not enough "he-man", and I'd say that's fair.
And she really didn't care for them "inventing" new characters instead of using the existing ones.
Gotta agree there too... Karg, Blade and Saurod instead of guys like Trap-Jaw and Tri-Klops? Ugh...
But it was still fun to see again, and I wouldn't mind a figure or two I guess.

I know that there are many people waitin' for Gwildor, Saurod and Blade.
I also know that there are some people askin' for the movie version of He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, Sorceress, Skeletor, Beast Man and Evil-Lyn.
I think that we need two crucial 1987 movie characters: Karg and the Detective Lubic.

I'd like to see a caped He-man (I'd prefer the version seen in some comics, but you take what you get). I'd also want the cape to be interchangeable with with most figures (even other He-man variants). Other than that I'd like to see both versions of Skeletor (less fussed about God Skeletor), Blade, Saurod and maybe Karg.
In regards to my speculation on who Teela's real father is.I hate you. So much.
