It would need to have additional content, IE: new extras, before I would bother

no, but I dont own a blue ray player or buy blue rays, of course.
I've given up on anything He-Man related coming to BD, even the movie.
For sure! This would be awesome.
I´d buy it. To be honest, I buy EVERY MOTU DVD or BD I could get my hands on.

I'd buy them but the issues with the DVD's should be fixed and there has to be a lot more bonus content, like toy concepts or prototypes.

Wish List: Eldor, Skeleton Warriors, King Argho, Horde Wraiths, Kobolds, Prahvus, Lord Masque, Rock Monster, Gen. Tartaran, Evil Seed, Carnivorous Plant, Lizard-Man, Hawke, Crimson Fury, Melaktha, Extendar, Spinwit, Ra-Jarr, Kelclar, King Miro, Dare, Missile-Toe, Sh'gora, Vizar, Harpy, ABC Giants, Lodar, Dragoon, Darius, Seahawk, Masks of Power Demons, Slob-Boar, Bubblor, Three-Beast
Yeah, I'd buy He-Man on Blu-Ray if it were available on Blu-Ray.
It's great being Lord of the Thundercats - especially hanging out with Cheetara - but the one draw back is that He-Man can still beat me up.

I hate to say it, but I may have to change my vote on this to "no"
I haven't watched the DVDs in a while, but I just started watching again and it's amazing how the backgrounds were rendered. The animation from the cells looks beautiful, and I'm sure they'd look even more wonderful in 1080p, but the backgrounds seem to have been scanned in on the original transfers at a resolution far far below DVD quality. Snake Mountain looks so pixelated it's terrible. Since there is such a disparity between the foreground and background in the same shots, I can't blame this on BCI's transfer, this is part of the original image. The palace, Grayskull, forests, all the background paintings are scanned at such a low level it looks terrible on a larger TV, this isn't something that Blu-ray could remedy.
As a disclaimer, yes I can be an image snob sometimes. But this isn't one of those times. This isn't me whining about some extremely small image issue (which I admittedly do sometimes) this is an issue that is impossible to ignore on any TV over 31".
I looked through all the other DVD threads, and I do apologize if this has been discussed before. A search didn't bring up any results.
Mill Creek has been releasing some blu-rays lately like That's 70s Show and are the most likely company to release a MYP blu-ray set. The last time I asked them about MYP on blu-ray, they said they had no plans.
I would buy it in a heartbeat. I would love to see MOTU in hi def.
I would definitely buy something like this, but it would be nice if it had more attractive packaging; especially on the inside and a booklet as well. The DVD release is pretty good on my HD DVD player though.
Want to Buy: MOTUC Man-At-Arms Mustached Head good paint/straight helmet. Thanks!
I loved the series... But not enough to buy it twice.
We don't need no education...
Yes you do, you've just used a double negative!
I'm a big fan of this series, so I'd definitely buy its Blu-Ray release...
Epic Metal music rules the universe.
WITHOUT QUESTION!!! I would buy this on BluRay in a heartbeat!

I would buy it, but I think it's doubtful it will happen anytime soon. The series is the most bargain basement I have ever seen a modern TV series at - you can get the entire series for $7 to $9 bucks. That's insane for 35+ episodes.
Still, I'd like to see it - but very little aside from huge franchises (Twilight Zone, Star Trek) non-currently broadcast shows have made it to Blu-ray as the TV on Blu market is still rather soft.
It seems like Marvel and DC puts out a DVD / Blu every other month. It would be awesome if Mattel and DC teamed up for a direct to DVD movie that caps off the MYP and also re-releases the entire series in a single package format! I'd buy that on Blu.
-then I woke up...![]()
