he'll be good as hal if they get the cocky smartass in the film, still think he would have been perfect for wally west, also deadpool but look what happened there
And so I walk, into the searing light which banishes all darkness, surrendering my face and form to atoms of dust, seeking the true darkness of peace, the cool shadows of eternity and the unknown fate of nothingness

I must say, with each new shot I see, my excitement levels for this film go up. Can’t wait until SDCC when we’ll finally get a good look at this.

I finally got a chance to see the EW cover, and... What. The. Hell? Am I the only one who feels they just took the Batsuit from Batman Begins and paint it green?

Note DC/WB, not every super-hero is Batman, and they all do not dress like Batman. Get over it!

That doesn't look like Kilowog! That looks like a benign cave troll from LOTR.

    This is Kilowog

sorry Prime, but that picture looks like a live version of what you posted!!!

besides slight placement of ears, i think its a GREAT adaptation for screen. just my opinion though.

I wonder if the guy I went to college with who made his own Green Lantern movie for a class has posted it on Youtube or anything of the like. If I find it, I'll have to post a link to it. I played Ohm in it. He was Kyle Rayner. At least he had a costume... even if it look like a SWAT uniform. It was better than a Batsuit.

His mouth on the earlier production design was a little closer to the Kilowog I know & love from the comics...

...but I agree. Considering the drastic changes Hollywood usually puts franchises through on their road to the big screen, Kilowog looks pretty close to how he normally appears.

the problem is more the expression, it's hard to tell if he is being somewhat sad or being his normal drill sargeant self.

Ryan Reynolds's terrible acting trumps any good feelings I have toward Green Lantern. Won't be wasting my money on this movie.

the thing i really like is the "life" in his eyes. I think its going to be very believable IF you let it!

I actually think Kilowog looks great. It's kind of hard to really tell how he'll look moving from that picture. People have complained about his coloring, but again it's really kind of hard to say what it will look like until we see a better pic.

I preferred the concept art. This new design is too humanoid for my liking. It’s the eyes and the mouth that ruin it for me. I’ll reserve full judgment until I see Kilowog in motion, but for now I’ll say that I do prefer the concept art design.

I have only recently become immersed in the DC Universe and Green Lantern in general. I have always enjoyed Lobo and some Batman but that is as far is it went with DC Comics.
As a new fan I absolutely love that pic of Kilowog, he has become my favourite GL after Hal.

I was never overly excited about this movie, and I haven't even been keeping up to speed with the news, but if this is going to be a space epic Green Lantern then that makes a huge difference from all the other Super Hero movies and changes my excitement considerably.

And the fact that this thread mentioned "Feetal's Gizz" and "Fraggin' Bastiches" has made it full of win

I'm happy to see Kilowog look as good as he does. I've only recently become a regular reader of Green Lantern and GL Corps, so I'm kindof excited about this. The only thing that I don't like is that Entertainment Weekly picture of his outfit, BUT, as it's a proven shopped costume, I'm waiting til we see him wearing something for real.

I must say, I also prefer the concept art because it looks more like the Kilowog from the comics, but the other image isn't BAD, so I'm okay. I'm sure they made the changes for a reason.

Supposedly a Green Lantern named Bzzd from next year's movie...

While I love that this new franchise has the possibility of having as many cool looking aliens in it as Star Wars, I hope the other ones are cooler looking than this. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Ch'p...

They're bringing Bzzd into the Corps already and during the origin film for Hal? He was introduced only three years ago and was partnered with Mogo (who personally I would love to see at some point, a planet Green lantern indeed.) But the point is, he didn't become a Lantern until after Hal went insane, became Parallax and wiped out the original Corps.

I haven't been reading everything about this movie when it comes to the plot(as much as I love Green Lantern, I want it to seem as fresh as possible next year), but I'm pretty sure I heard something about Parallax(the entity and not Hal when he was possessed by it) either for this movie or one of the sequels.

Yeah, Parallax is in it. The guy who is leaking these pictures (Kilowog and Bzzd) posts at the SuperheroHype forums. So we know he’s on the level. He says that eventually he's going to leak them all. I don't know if I want to see them all, though. He says that all the designs, for the most part, are pretty spot on. Here’s a list of all of the Lantern members he says will be appearing, with the possibility of even more:

    Krona
    Salaak (is spot on apparently)
    Stel
    Mogo
    Boodikka
Green Man (supposedly looks like a giant toad)
    Isamot Kol
    Rot Lop Fam
    Apros
Galius Zed (has long arms, small legs and a big freaking head!)
    Chaselon
    Penelops
    Hannu

Anyone even more excited for this film now?

Hell yeah!!! I'm especially excited for Salaak & Mogo. I can't believe they would put something like Mogo in a modern superhero movie since they're usually all about the "realism". It looks like Mattel is going to have a lot more choices for their movie toyline next year than they did with the Avatar line(it was mostly blue people and Earth animals with 2 extra legs).

    Tomar-re!!!

Here's Tomar-Re posted in this thread. A bit further down there's another picture with him standing next to Kilowog. Kilowog is huge!

Oh... dear. Tomar is very faithful but... I hope non-fans don't start calling him Green Chicken or something.

Tomar-Re is quite faithful but, much like Two-Face, some things look a lot creepier in "real life" than they do on the comics page. I wonder if it's a coincidence or if having Geoff Johns dealing with the Hollywood division of DC Entertainment is keeping the Green Lantern movie so faithful(at least so far)? It's hard to believe that Jack Black was going to be starring in the Green Lantern movie several years ago.

    Tomar-Re looks great!

And yes, I was thinking about the Jack Black GL we almost got... just goes to show how far up their butts studios can put their heads when they want to. Glad we dodged that bullet.

I'm loving the look and feel of this so far. I hope the story is good!
