He doesn't, he only 4 toes like in the drawing. Alcala Skeletor has normal feet.

And I agree with Emiliano, He-Man's name is not Oo-Larr.

we'll they would have to differentiate the different he-men by thier alter ego names ie; adam, wun-dar, vikor, oolar. They become he-man at some point, but in the mini comics oolar didn't have the sword of power yet but wore the magic armor given to him by the goddess.

that jewel star look great - there are a buch of new parts on her, i can see some potential custom fodder w/ her, good thing i will have 2 coming.

    =)
Can I get a "Hell Yeah" for Scorpia!!!

My guess for the "arrow" would be to draw attention to the fact that her Chest is not the normal female chest but more of an armor that goes straight across her like a Shelf

I never noticed the molding on top of the star staff before right now, it looks good. Why is Jewelstar wearing Mom jeans though?

That's neat looking. It's nice to see more detailing in the star staff.

*dead* Maybe the arrow means the mom jeans aren't high enough.

As for the detailing on the star staff, the original prototypes had that design as well. (not sure if some of you were aware) 'Tis cool.

For some reason it seems like the larger star should be a tad bigger.

Well, the FOUR HORSEMEN took the design almost 100 % from an 80īs drawing. What do you expect? Back than that was hip

I'm pretty sure the 4 horsemen's original sculpt was not like that. Her and tall star received the diaper/granny panties treatment somewhere after mattel received the sculpts. Making the star sisters just that much less palatable to some.

    ...all hip apparently

I joke, that is a fair point in the 80's that look was numerous. If at all possible, I will likely see if I can work some super-glue magic to make her.... less hip *ba-dum-ching!*

I think my biggest problem with Jewelstar and Tallstar's hip pieces, is that they're droopy at the bottoms with that gap and it makes it look like they both have a load in their diaper.

    @ mom jeans.

Seriously though, I'm very sad Mattel didn't fix the really large underwear on Jewelstar (and presumably Tallstar). We noticed it and mentioned it at the same time people were talking about Starla's face and TG said he knew the Star Sisters protos looked funny, but they would be fixed. This makes it look like they will not be fixed at all.

The 4H did not sculpt the underwear like this either. If you look at the prototype pictures, their underwear is nice and tight around the hips and crotch.

If this is as close together as you can put Jewelstar's legs together because of her underwear hanging down about 1/2 an inch too far...that's a pretty big problem. That's almost a horse straddle!

From behind the test shot looks great if you ask me because it looks as if she was wearing a whole armor suit from the front because of the waist cut it looks like high cut old ladies undies and thatīs not the best look.

I love the bigger size in the hips. It brings a little more visual diversity to the body types in the line. Not *EVERYONE* needs to have the hips of a 12 year old boy/Victoria's Secret model.

Right you are! Easter eggs are fun.

As for the Jewelstar prototype... why is it that they can never pose the figures more dynamically for the con reveals? These prototype images off of ebay really show off how amazing and bad-ass these gals are going to look "in battle" on our shelves! I'm already more psyched for them than I was before. I think Jewelstar is going to be displayed cape-less when I get her.

Right? At the cons, they've just been standing around like characters on King of the Hill. This is dynamic!

I didn't realize how much was new tooling and how her top armor worked. Very cool!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

In my opinion, the problem isn't so much her hips...but her waist and crotch. For some reason, the plastic for her undies is WAY too long in the crotch...and she lost the waist definition she used to have (top of the undies):

I didn't even realize it wasn't there until you mentioned it. I woulder if the shoulder jewels/cape will be removable then? I really HOPE it is...but it looks like it's molded on the sample figure from Power Con/NYCC.

That's exactly right. In the Four Horsemen prototype, I can clearly see the angular gem-like lines sculpted into the waist so they line-up with chest piece, like it does on the Star Sisters poster, but in the test shot it appears they smooshed this, ballooned-out the hips and then extended the crotch. For me, it's not an issue of wanting every female character to have the same body type (I don't need Madame Razz transformed into a supermodel or anything ), but size-wise, I think she should be as close to the source material as possible. Maybe the test shot looks different in person, though. Anyhoo... I'm excited to get her regardless.

    EDIT

When/if a Tallstar test shot appears on eBay, I hope it shows that the neck area has been corrected, so that the head sits flush on the extension instead of having that gap. :/
