    Red Scorpia looks nice!!
FINALLY!! GLIMMER IS IN MY SHELF!! Now I need a Crita!! Crita is to Mara what Evil Lyn is to Teela. If we ARE getting Mara, then we NEED Crita.

While I'm glad Mattel went with a more cartoon accurate crimson/pink and red combo, I have to admit the red on it's own looks neat.

I hope Sweet Bee leaks before SDCC

Oh and DO4M, if you're looking for another character to support, how about rocking out to Granita?
Most-wanted MOTUC: Granita - Hunga the Harpy - The Melog - Melaktha - Vultak - Dylamug - Crita - Sprag, Sprocker and Spritina - the Twiggets King Ahgo

It's interesting that the Flogg prototype has the old Trap-Jaw boots.

That is what the production figure has, too.

He was talkin' about the holes in the ankles. The production Flogg has new Trap-Jaw legs with the ankle holes covered up.

That's why they do test shots. China probably used the wrong molds by mistake.

There are a couple jokes that come to mind that can be made of Castaspella's head and hand but I won't go there.

I always like looking at these. The Flogg one looks pretty cool. Really hope he is not the last space mutant we will see in the line.

OK, is this the first time we've seen so many variations of test shots? I don't recall seeing a rainbow brigade on any other figures before this... I wonder if this was done to ensure the right (semi-soft) consistency on the snap-together joints.

it's an interesting series of photos and i'd love to know if there's any true variation between them, aside from color. the end product of Extendar is a mess of gummy plastic. i would hate to think that they actually tried multiple options and yet still ended up with what we got.

An interesting theory, definitely makes sense. Someone's just gotta buy them all and do a side by side comparison with the production version .

Why is this prototype's forearms correct, but the final product's forearms are swapped?

One could ask the same about Frosta. The early samples not only had correct forearms, but also WHITE paint apps. Somehow, the forearms were changed, and the paint deliberately changed to gray.

It would be interesting to study some of the rainbow test shots, if not just to see which parts likely share the same molds from looking at the matching colors. I know they use whatever plastic colors they basically have lying around for these, but I wonder, do they make sure to use a different color for each mold to make it easier to identify the specific mold holding a potential problem piece?
