    Blackstar in the MOTUC?

In the new Joe line they are using Matt Trakker from the MASK toyline. I don't collect that line but that is a really cool idea.

So if Flimation gave the ok and figured out a way to use there characters in the new toyline. Could it be possible to get a Blackstar figure. There was a bronze statue of Blackstar in the Motu episode Temple of the sun.

It would be really cool. Many feel that Blackstar paved the way for Motu. And there are way too many similarites.

I love Blackstar and think it'd be awesome.
I wonder who owns the Blackstar license? Is Filmation still a business entity that would hold those licenses?
Galoob did the toys back in the day.

But yeah, I'd love to see that. A 4HM Blackstar, Mara, Overlord etc. It'd be cool for sure!

I'm so down for this! As stupid as it probably sounds I would also love to see a Bravestar included in MOTUC, maybe as a counterpart to Reo Blast. But since both are probably owned by ER there's fat chance of that happening!

This talk has got me thinking--

Would also be great if a company could do a 'variety' line of cartoon character figures. With, say, each release of figures having to do with a different cartoon (or have a "mixed bag", with a character or 2 from different cartoons in each release of figures).

Guys please stick to the topic. I'd like see if we stir up enough buzz for Flimation characters maybe we will get a few. Thanks.

I started a thread on who would fit in the new toyline.

I felt like a teacher telling his students in class. I don't mean to be a weenee but I would to know what people think about Blackstar. Thats all. There doing it in the Joe line. And maybe they could to the same here.

Sometimes we could go really off the topic and well I didn't want that to happen here. Sorry.

I always liked the idea the Jon Blackstar and Marlena were astronauts from Planet Earth who got lost in space, ending up on different planets. Since it is Masters of the UNIVERSE (not Masters of Eternia), I think Blackstar would make a GREAT addition to MOTUC!

    I say keep it MOTU.

there's plenty of characters and eras to explore, that we don't need to start adding outside properties that have NOTHING TO DO with it.

I agree with you. But tell me it would be cool. I just got done watching all the Blackstar episodes. Man heman and Blackstar are like bobsie twins.

If it could happen I think it would be awesome. I'd rather a Blackstar figure then repaints and varients.

Blackstar in MOTUC, would be like Geordi LaForge in a Doctor Who toy line.

similar properties, but they have nothing to do with each other.

Masters of the Universe and canon are mutually exclusive.

They've got enough on their plate with MOTU, POP and NA. I'd rather see characters from these shows than another. Why bring in something else entirely? It's Masters of the Universe classics NOT Filmation classics.

    Absolutely not.

Blackstar is not and never will be a He-Man character. He got to appear in some rubble as a statue in an episode, that is the one and only throw back. And, that only happened, because the same company did the cartoon. Blackstar is a failed property. The three eyed fish from the Simpsons (or whatever) appears in an MYP He-Man episode. I don't think we want that released as a He-Man figure.

We have plenty of legitimate characters through classics MOTU, POP, and New Adventures.

It would be cool but stick to MOTU for now. Besides I think this was tried before and now we have "Savage/Wanderbread" He-Man

    Makes sense doesn't it??

Well since it`s Masters of the UNIVERSE we could also get a BA. Baraca figure, Michael Knight and Mork from Ork figures in MOTUC since they are all in the same universe. but seriously NO

Agreed there way too many Motu figures that need to be done and Pop and Na and mini comic characters and the list goes on. BUT wouldn't it be cool regardless. In a few months or even years for that matter. But Id like to have him in my Motuc collection along side Superman. Why the hell not. If Matt Trackker is a Joe then Blackstar could be Motu.
