What we would have gotten in Season 3 . . .

Well, I re-read the Ian Richter's answers to fans' questions, and wanted to highlight what would have been with MYP-show continuing...

    - Man-At-Arms captured and turned into a Snakeman for good – giving Snake Men a new weapons master.
[*Ian later corrected, that it would only have lasted 3-5 episodes]

    - Clamp Champ would have been next Heroic Warrior introduced.

    - Story about how Clawful would gain intelligence via some brain tampering from Tri-Klops and almost overthrow Skeletor.

    - More exploration of Fisto and Teela relationship.

    - Faker was going to play an important role in the season 2 cliffhanger.

    - Horde Armour to He-Man would have been finalized.

    - More exploration on how Marlena is Half-Gar.

    - More exploration of Keldor and Randor being brothers. Keldor being the first-born.

    - Mekaneck's origin possibly told (what is in DVD bio).

    - Evil Lyn and Skeletor would take over Eternia; banish Randor to Despondos.

    - Evil-Lyn would succeed in freeing Hordak

    - Hordak would be an extreme threat to Eternia

    - Prahvus would return and Hordak would recruit him.

    - Skeletor would have jaw-dropping battle with King Hiss.

    - Masters would become renegades with Horde over Eternia.

    - Skeletor would come back at end of season 3 and defeat Hordak.

    Man.... so much potential.

That some awesome stuff (minus Fisto. lol). Wasn't She-Ra supposed to be in season 3? Also, was it mentioned Marlena was half-gar or was that to be revealed in season 3?

...and Man-At-Arms would be a Snakeman forever?!

Go to fan creations. They aren't perfect, but they're something at least.

The other idea is that Faker would come in. Tri-Klops would find the MAA robot and use it to impersonate He-Man and frame him.

What really sucks about all this is that the guys were really just getting the material. Everything was falling into place, and everything fit really well. Season 2, even at 13 episodes was freaking amazing. It was definitely moving in a stronger, edgier direction. And we would've gotten a season of a fully animated, BA Hordak. Something Filmation could never do.

The answers given about She-Ra were in the likes:

"We would like to have her in there... part of He-Man mythology.."

"She would be introduced using existing material, when the time was right"

So that doesn't say she was planned specifically for season 3, like some of the other stuff. She would be a possibility, and accordingly; basing her story from the filmation-origin.

Also, was it mentioned Marlena was half-gar or was that to be revealed in season 3?
Ian Richter said that they came up with this idea, but unfortunately weren't able to implement it during the 39 episodes. Should series have continued, they would have explored that.

...and Man-At-Arms would be a Snakeman forever?!
A direct quote from Mr. Richter about that.

Thanks for the research/info Jukka. That's really crazy about Duncan though. I'm not sure how I feel about him being a Snakeman FOREVER. Maybe that's in homage to how the New Adventures of He-Man was supposed to go for season two? He-Man returns to Eternia and Duncan became an evil warlord who ruled Eternia.

If they did fully intend for MAA to be a villain for good, I think I see why they were thinking of Fisto as Teela's father. Duncan gone forever means she needs someone else to take care of her. However, he could do this with just being her Uncle. Come on people. lol

    Woah! Seriously?

Would Skeletor align himself with the new order? Serve at MAA's side? Doubtful. And He-man wouldn't let a dictator -- even a father figure -- rule his beloved Eternia. So what I envisioned was a tri-lateral battle between He-man, MAA and Skeletor -- any similarities to U.S./the former U.S.S.R. and China would have been intentional. And the women -- She-ra, Teela and the Sorceress...don't even get me started! I had a whole female empowerment sub-story in which they got sick of guys and their titanic battles and form their own power base.
    and here:

At that point years of repressed hostility that MAA had over never having risen to the heights he felt he deserved to rise to would have taken over. And he would decide there was no way he would let someone else move into the position of power he'd waited so long for. So he would battle against the new aspirant and defeat her. And once MAA took over...well, Lord Acton made a fine observation when he said, "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely." With no Sorceress and no He-man to temper him and with only a weak, once great monarchy standing in his way, I saw MAA consumed by the absolute power finally within his grasp.

It would only be much, much later -- when those he cared about (and driven away) were in mortal dangers from outsiders, partly because of his actions -- that he would see the light and redeem himself. And what a moment that would be: All Heaven rejoices over a lost sheep returned to the flock.
Your question and Jukka's starting up this thread inspired me to do the same for NA. You can find it here:

    - Man-At-Arms captured and turned into a Snakeman for good – giving Snake Men a new weapons master.

Thumbs down on that idea. Maybe for a few episodes, its always nice to have a story that continues longer than 1 episode, but not for good.

    - Clamp Champ would have been next Heroic Warrior introduced.

Oh why? I'd much rather see Snout Spout.

    - Story about how Clawful would gain intelligence via some brain tampering from Tri-Klops and almost overthrow Skeletor.

That's a fun idea. Could be a great little episode.

    - More exploration of Fisto and Teela relationship.

    That would have been nice.

    - Faker was going to play an important role in the season 2 cliffhanger.

Would have loved to see some more of everyone's favorited mishappen clone robot thingy.

    - Horde Armour to He-Man would have been finalized.

Meh, could care less for Horde Armor.

    - More exploration on how Marlena is Half-Gar.

What? Hey, where is it official that there is a race called Gar anyway?

    - More exploration of Keldor and Randor being brothers. Keldor being the first-born.

That would have been fun. Maybe even do some flashbacks of when they were younger, and show what lead Keldor down the path of darkness.

    - Mekaneck's origin possibly told (what is in DVD bio).

Who's Mekaneck again? Oh him! Hah! Just kidding.

    - Evil Lyn and Skeletor would take over Eternia; banish Randor to Despondos.

    Huh?

    - Evil-Lyn would succeed in freeing Hordak

I think she gave up on Hordak. Didn't she? Would be cool if somehow he influenced her.

    - Hordak would be an extreme threat to Eternia

    Ya duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

    - Prahvus would return and Hordak would recruit him.

I'd rather he rest in pieces... like poor Calix.

    - Skeletor would have jaw-dropping battle with King Hiss.

    Yes! And win!

    - Masters would become renegades with Horde over Eternia.

    Sure why not.

    - Skeletor would come back at end of season 3 and defeat Hordak.

    With a little help... ofcourse...

I still don't understand the the need for a Horde Armor He-Man.
Snake Armor yes. But Horde... I don't get it.
Snakes a venomus creatures, the Horde is just a bunch mixed creatures.

Who knows, maybe after all these years I have been thinking too much into it.
For all we know, Horde Armor could be just shoulder and knee pads...

    - Man-At-Arms captured and turned into a Snakeman for good – giving Snake Men a new weapons master.

    Absolutely terrible idea

    - Clamp Champ would have been next Heroic Warrior introduced.

Quite indifferent to this as I neither like nor hate clamp champ. If he had been used properly he might have been good but I wouldn't have held my breath

    - Story about how Clawful would gain intelligence via some brain tampering from Tri-Klops and almost overthrow Skeletor.

This could be good as it would have been nice for Clawful to be a bit smarter

    - More exploration of Fisto and Teela relationship.

I've always hated the idea that Fisto is Teela's father so this is one storyline I would have liked not to have seen if the cartoon had continued.

    - Faker was going to play an important role in the season 2 cliffhanger.

    Cool

    - Horde Armour to He-Man would have been finalized.

More armour for He-Man? Why can't he just stick to his relgular recognisable costume?

    - More exploration on how Marlena is Half-Gar.

More? I can't recall it even being mentioned she was half-gar

    - More exploration of Keldor and Randor being brothers. Keldor being the first-born.

Now this story line would have been good because I for one like the idea that they are brothers, it adds a little bit more to the story

    - Mekaneck's origin possibly told (what is in DVD bio).

Don't like Mekaneck so can't ay I really care to much about his origin

    - Evil Lyn and Skeletor would take over Eternia; banish Randor to Despondos.

Now that would have been awesome

    - Evil-Lyn would succeed in freeing Hordak

forget my statement for the EL, Skelly, Rando, Despondos post... THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME

    YAY...HORDAK

    - Hordak would be an extreme threat to Eternia

As if there was any doubt he would be, this is HORDAK we are talking about.

    - Prahvus would return and Hordak would recruit him.

Was never really impressed with Prahvus. He only appeared in one episode as far as I remember and he wasn't that great.

    - Skeletor would have jaw-dropping battle with King Hiss.

That would have been good to see. Skeletor needs some payback for when KH turned his men into stone and took away Snake Mountain

    - Masters would become renegades with Horde over Eternia.

So basically the basic story of POP but on Eternia instead of Etheria? Could have been good, anything involving more Hordak has to be good.

    - Skeletor would come back at end of season 3 and defeat Hordak.

Skeletor defeat Hordak? Never. I refuse to admit to even the possibility of this happening. Hordak would have destroyed all his enemies and ruled Eternia forever

Skeletor is simply smarter than both Hsss and Hordak so that's why he will always come out on top in the end!!

I was thinking about starting a thread like this when I re-posted the link to the Q&A in the EP40 Talkback thread.

    - Man-At-Arms captured and turned into a Snakeman for good – giving Snake Men a new weapons master.

Well we see this happen in the EP40 comic.
Don't know about for good but a temporary change would have been a great idea, especially if they use him to create Blast Attack(s), then when if he turns back he could be like what have I done etc. But this wasn't mentioned in the Q&A and I kinda think they would have mentioned Blast Attack if thats what they had planned.

    - Clamp Champ would have been next Heroic Warrior introduced.
Would have loved to see this. I think he would have become the new Masters weapons master now MAA is a snakeman and would have introduced clamps to the rest of the Masters as a weapon against the Snakemen and thats why all the heroic snake armour toys came with clamps of some kind.

    - Story about how Clawful would gain intelligence via some brain tampering from Tri-Klops and almost overthrow Skeletor.
    Nice story idea.

    - More exploration of Fisto and Teela relationship.
I think I'm one of the few people who didn't mind Fisto being Teela's father.

    - Faker was going to play an important role in the season 2 cliffhanger.
    Great classic story.

    - Horde Armour to He-Man would have been finalized.
As long as it better then the Snake Armour.

    - More exploration on how Marlena is Half-Gar.
Don't like this idea for some reason.

    - More exploration of Keldor and Randor being brothers. Keldor being the first-born.
    Have always loved this idea.

    - Mekaneck's origin possibly told (what is in DVD bio).
    Always love origin storys.

    - Evil Lyn and Skeletor would take over Eternia; banish Randor to Despondos.
Great idea, a bit like in the 80s movie.

    - Evil-Lyn would succeed in freeing Hordak
again I like the idea of Lyn always trying to over throw Skelly

    - Hordak would be an extreme threat to Eternia
    Sweet

    - Prahvus would return and Hordak would recruit him.
Was never keen on this guy or his design, they should have used Batros, now that would had been sweet!

    - Skeletor would have jaw-dropping battle with King Hiss.
I think this is what we saw in the EP40 comic and it was sweet.

    - Masters would become renegades with Horde over Eternia.
Nice take on the POP rebels.

    - Skeletor would come back at end of season 3 and defeat Hordak.
Love this idea, the student overthrows the mater.

Don't like this idea, has Randor got a thing for Gar girls, first Skellys mum now Marlena as well.
    Huh?

Are you referring that first Captain Miro had a thing for gar-women.

Then his son King Randor got together with a half-gar.

In the commentary for the episode which featured the He-man Faker they said there would be a link to the robot becomming Faker and Despondos.
They also said Randor would be banished there so I think the defenders will probably use the robot to get Randor back and the robot then gets corrupted by the power of Despondos.

Wouldn't the Horde suffer from the venomous effect of Despondos?
