I’ve fixed some figures with loose ankles by giving them boots from other figures with tight ankles.

Skeletor- gave him Webstor’s boots
Hordak – gave him Grizzlor’s boots (but put the Hordak feet on them)
Tri-Klops – gave him Wun-Dar’s boots
King Grayskull – gave him Vikor’s boots

For He-Man, the upcoming Snake Man at Arms might be able to help. It’s hard to tell judging by hand painted prototypes, but I suspect that his loin cloth and boots will be similar to He-Man. Assuming they give him Vikor’s boots with the new ankle joint, that’ll be good boots for He-Man. If he has Vikor’s boots and the color matches, I’ll be picking up an extra one to use as He-Man boots.

The boil trick works - about 30 to 60 seconds in a cup of boiling water then let them cool naturally.

Also used Elmer's glue to pack the joints full

I have also used some tiny orthodontia rubber bands like people use for braces. They fit down in the cracks pretty well.

Just use the transparent elastic bands that came with the figure. Wrap them around the articulation. Instant invisible fix.

Exactly what I was going to suggest. The small transparent bands work great

On a side note; it's a shame we have to do our own quality control on a collectors line. Between raised hairlines, misaligned wings, various bobble heads and lose joints I feel lik I've built a whole figure from scratch.

I have a problem with one of my swords. It is made out of rubber , not plastic. But when I took it out of the package it was bent backwards and no matter what I do , I cannot get it to return to a straight rigid position.

If I straighten it within minutes it will return to the bent fashion , I placed it in a book to keep it completely flat and straight , no luck.

Any tips or tricks to help my problem here ?

This is driving me crazy , literally , My OCD is going nuts , every time I see this thing I have to go and try and straighten it.

Hey Shenlon, if I were you, I would put it into a pot of boiling water (only for about 10 seconds), straighten out the blade then immediately place it in or under something that will keep it straight until it cools.

Someone else may have another method but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Yeah, the boiling water technique works most of the time - I use a variation and just turn the hot water on in the sink until it gets to scalding temperatures and run it under there. Sadly, I doesn't work 100% of the time. The only time I managed to bend back a rubbery weapon when it was resisting the water technique was when I ran it under hot water AND THEN shoved it between these two peices of wood on my bedframe. I left it there for a few days (actually forgot about it) and it stayed straight from then on out! Since then, however, I've gotten a new bed and I never found anything that could keep it straight like that, so I'm not sure what to suggest as a straightener...

It is in and under something heavy and will keep it very straight.

Hair dryer also works very well. No need to let it set overnight, though. While it's still warm and bent into the shape you want, dip it in a glass of ice water and it will set in seconds. You can keep going immediately between the hot and cold to get the sword perfect.

Something bad happended while I was out. When I returned my room where I keep my collection. I find out my MotU Classics Teela had accident. Her left arm (from her shoulder) was severed for her body. How I fix this?

I'm not a customizer so I'm not sure how to fix her, good news is that Teela will be available on Mattycollector for the black friday sale, so you may be able to pick up a new one.

If you put some Zap-A-Gap on just the connecting pieces (probably with the amplifier that makes it work faster), you should have a perfectly working Teela once more in just a few minutes.

Zap-A-Gap? Sorry, I am not familar with this branded item. Is that glue or something similar? I am from Finland. Just finding some special items not easy here.

Yes, Zap-A-Gap is a glue. It's a super strong model glue. I don't know if it's sold globally, but you can probably order it online if it's not where you live.

I'm not saying the zap-a-gap won't work, it probably will. But just in case it doesn't and you want a sturdier fix you should check out these tutorials over at figure realm, I regularly use screws to fix things and extend arms and legs etc.

I'm too lazy to read the figure realm stuff, so sorry if I'm repeating. I would drill a small hole in the arm and torso joint that broke and stick a small fited metal rod in the hole (usually I cut paperclips for metal rods). Then once fitted well I would apply super glue or apoxie glue.

I agree with the methods that involve screws and rods. For something permanent that won't break when you move it, you're going to want some sort of support besides the surfaces of the broken plastic.

I've never used Zap-a-Gap, so I can't say for sure. Based on the recommendation here, I may have to check that stuff out for other projects.

This used to happen to my figures all the time as a kid. You can fix it by replacing the peg with a screw. I suggest using the figure realm tutorial and take her completely apart.

Hi,
I bought a COTU Shadow Weaver here in the forum and although the figure is great, I have a problem with its painting. When I take it to display it in different positions there's no problem but today my hands were a bit wet and the painting got wet as well so I had red painting in my hands.

Is there any product to dry the painting and make it solid like plastic? I know my hands are not going to be always wet but I love this figure and I usually take it to display it in the fright zone and other playsets so I am worried, it is my favourite one.

Please I beg your help my friends

You should post pictures... Probably the paint was unsealed and that's why it's rubbing off... You might need to buy some paint sealer...

Try Gamesworkshop Purity seal. Apply lightly. It gives the entire piece a very matte finish and evens things out.
