Mermista and Glimmer are tied for my next most wanted Great Rebellion figures. Can't wait to see the 4H version of our favorite mermaid!

I would love Mermista next (I'm kind of giddy about adding a mermaid to the MOTU shelf!), but since we got Frosta I'm thinking we'll get one of the lesser requested POP figures next like Sweet Bee, Perfuma or Netossa.

I would love to see Netossa next but I like the idea of her been a double pack with Spinnerella.

Long live Mermista! When they get around to her, they could redeco the Orb of the Elders and call it the Power Pearl. Also, I see her as being similar to King Hsss, in that she'll have two lower-halves (one finned, the other with legs) that we can plug her upper torso into.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say NOBODY on these forums is MORE excited than you are for Mermista. It is my observation that she is to you what Mosquitor is to Pixel Dan.

Personally, I'm looking forward to her but the 4H better not make her butt as flat as a board like they did with Teela. I love my women round bottomed.

Swear...for some reasson I get a tad emotional when I think about really truly having her! I was just never allowed to have her when I was younger and so...lol

I worry about the scales to be honest. I dont wanna see tiny little scales but make them larger (in scale with the sculpt).

I'm right there with ya Stratos*Major. Mermista is my most wanted figure and has been since She-ra was released. She's got my vote in all the PoP AND Motuc Idols that I've voted in.

Edit: I just checked out the current Motuc Idol, and you and I are the two lone Mermista votes.

Oh, and:

Mermista was always my favorite POP gal other than She-Ra/Adora. I made a custom of her in the 200x days using a figure from "Reboot" that had blue hair and fins. I can't wait to get her in classics.

The more I have seen this, the more I like it. I like the whole "Brightest Day" look. I would love to see her tail in a metalic blue paint.

I am also saying I think Mermista would be an excellent candidate for a $30.00 spot to get her to look the best she can be.

I just TRULY believe this will be an EXCELLENT figure that can be appreciated as something special, even outside of Mermista fans! I really do BELIVE this figure will be a "have-to-have" for MOTUC collectors!

Again, I say show me a mermaid action figure! One that looks like a "classic" mermaid! Not to mention we would get the Four Horsemen to sculpt this figure! I'm shouting another first for MOTUC...make Mermista the FIRST mermaid action figure!!

Mermista is a win-win figure!

I hope Mermista comes with interchangeable legs and fin.

But if that is prohibitively expensive for the budget allocated, then a removeable "fin" that operates similarly to Queen Marlena's dress would be okay.

As for the overall design, I'd like Mermista to be predominantly based on the Filmation design, with added/unique details from the original toy as well (e.g. asymetrical bodice, necklace, gauntlet details, etc). IF Mermista required unique "human" legs for the interchangeable action feature, then it would be great if they had sculpted "scales". If for budget reasons that have to use the standard female human legs, then I hope the mini-fins on the feet are well sculpted to give Mermista a distinct design element.

As for accessories, I'd like to see a removeable belt (that works with both mermaid and human form), a re-imagined shell-shield (which could possibly be repainted as She-Ra's "sword to shield" shield given it kind of looks like a shell) and a trident. Of course, given that the budget will probably go towards the interchangeable legs (or removeable fin), I don't hold out too much hope for Mermista coming with any additional accessories, except perhaps a repainted POP shield.
